《Glory e-sports》Chapter 105: Do you know why you can't sleep here now?

But there was no way to go back on what he’d said.
Wei Xiao’s character was the type where he had to do what he said, even if it seemed like it would be fatal.
His heart thumped, and he was about to…
Lu Feng got up, and the two of them changed positions.
Wei Xiao toppled onto the bed and was stunned, “Ah…”
Lu Feng hugged his waist and flipped him over.
Wei Xiao knew what he was going to do, “No… captain… about that… wu…”
Afterwards, Wei Xiao’s mouth was still very agile and sharp, but his legs hurt, hurt to the point where he was moaning and groaning.
They hadn’t even really done anything, but he already knew how to act coquettish and well-behaved. If they really did something…
Oh, he would probably not dare to moan and groan anymore.
He wouldn’t even be able to get out of bed!
To Wei Xiao, Lu Feng’s shoulder now seemed to be made out of crystal, the ultra-thin kind that would shatter with a touch.
He was very careful and tentative during the day, and cautious at night. Even when that happened, he would try to avoid it, and once he found that Lu Feng’s shoulder was under any kind of stress, he would immediately cooperate with him, acting so obedient that it made people wish they could…
But Captain Lu couldn’t bear to do it. Taking a bite of his neck was already his limit.
The two of them took another bath. After they came out, Wei Xiao swiftly darted into the bed, drilling in until only his eyes were exposed and said, “I’m going to stay here tonight!”
Lu Feng: “…….”
Wei Xiao accused him, “You can’t just tease and… wu…”
Lu Feng kissed his mouth, “You really dare to say anything.”
Wei Xiao’s eyes curved, “Isn’t it because you insist on driving me away?”
Lu Feng pulled him into his arms. Wei Xiao had a psychological shadow about his shoulder and was flustered even when he pillowed his head on his healthy right shoulder, “I can sleep on a pillow.”
Lu Feng pressed his restless little head down, “Behave.”
Wei Xiao discovered it, “… Damn, captain, you…”
Lu Feng: “… Shut up.”
Wei Xiao sucked in a breath.
Lu Feng stared at him, “Do you know why you can’t sleep here now?”
Wei Xiao’s legs still hurt. He shifted away from him slightly.
Lu Feng pulled him in close again, “Sleep.”
Wei Xiao was prodded until his heart and head all heated up, “Um…”
Lu Feng looked at him.
Wei Xiao licked his lower lip, “In fact, I can… ah…”
There was always someone to show him with their actions: In fact, you can’t.
After Wei Xiao had washed up three times, he regretted it, “I’d better go back to my room and sleep.”
Lu Feng held him by the waist, “If you say a little less, it wouldn’t happen so much.”
By now, Wei Xiao had put his clothes back on properly and didn’t dare to stick too close to him to ‘keep warm’ anymore.
After messing around like this, it was already almost twelve o’clock.
Lu Feng’s biological clock was very accurate, and he’d been briefly sated. He gradually felt sleepy.
Unfortunately, Wei Xiao couldn’t sleep.
This wasn’t the time for him to sleep, and especially after he’d made up for his sleep during the day, he was now filled with energy.
“Captain~”
“Mm.”
“Will you be leaving after the opening game?”

Lu Feng opened his eyes, “Basically.”
Wei Xiao really didn’t dare to pillow his head on his arm. The weight of his head was on the pillow, but he was very willing to be held by Lu Feng. His cheek pressed down, rubbing against his shoulder, “It’s going to be more than two months.”
Lu Feng felt like his heart was being tickled by his actions, “Regretting it?”
Wei Xiao instantly looked up at him, “No way!”
Lu Feng’s eyes held a trace of a smile, “Can’t bear to part with me?”
Wei Xiao actually felt a little embarrassed. He rubbed against him again, “Of course.”
Lu Feng’s heart felt like it had been smeared with honey. It was too sweet to be true.
Wei Xiao spoke in a low whisper, “We haven’t been together for that long…”
Even if they started calculating time from when he joined the team, it had only been about a month. If they only counted the time after they’d gotten together, then it was a pitifully small amount of time.
Especially since after they’d come back from the winter training, Lu Feng had told him to participate in the singles competition resulting in a Wei Xiao who had been sulky the whole time and hadn’t spent much time hanging out with Lu Feng.
It hadn’t been easy for the two of them to work things out, but now Lu Feng was going to go to the other side of the earth. How could Wei Xiao bear to part with him?
He had never been the type of person to hide his emotions and would show whatever he felt. The more he thought about it, the more reluctant he was to part. The more he couldn’t bear it, the stickier he became. He was no longer satisfied with just rubbing Lu Feng with his cheek and lifted his head up to kiss Lu Feng.
Lu Feng’s eyes deepened slightly, his hands pinching Wei Xiao’s waist under the quilt.
Wei Xiao cried out, then laughed, “Captain, you’re so bad.”
Lu Feng: “…….”
Wei Xiao was only bratty with his words. His legs were still a little afraid, so he said honestly, “It’s a kiss… just a kiss, after you leave, it’ll be a long time before I can…”
His heart felt sour as he spoke, and he hugged him more tightly.
Lu Feng was also reluctant to part. The arms that were hugging him also exerted a bit more force, “Be good.”
He kissed him on the forehead.
Wei Xiao’s voice was muffled, “You have to recuperate well.”
Lu Feng: “Mm.”
Wei Xiao: “Think about me every day.”
Lu Feng: “Yes.”
“Send me messages when you have time.”
“Okay.”
“And voice messages.”
“Yes.”
“And videos!”
“Okay.”
“Also… and… wu…”
If he wanted him to sleep, then he had to tire him out.
Lu Feng could only ‘coax’ him to sleep like this.
Finally, they ushered in the opening game of the regular season.
The audience who’d been waiting for a long time arrived in the stadium early, wanting to see their own ‘husband’, ‘big brother’, ‘cub’, ‘darling’ in person!
FTW didn’t set out that early. The match was scheduled for six o’clock, and they didn’t arrive until about five o’clock.
The team van drove to the back entrance staff passage, but there were still some old fans who’d set up camp there.
They immediately began to scream when they saw the familiar license place number.
“Close!”
“God Lu!”

“Captain Lu, Captain Lu!”
There was no doubt that all the fans were all shouting Close’s name.
It was very normal. The fans in the e-sports circle were much more realistic than the fans in the entertainment industry.
It didn’t matter what they looked like; strength was the absolute truth. If they were powerful, then they were handsome. If they were strong and handsome, then… they deserved to have several hundred million fans.
In the car, Wei Xiao was sour and jealous, “He’s not your husband!”
Indeed, a girl had seen Lu Feng through the window and started screaming, “Hubby, look at me, look at me!”
Brother Cai, who was in the front seat, heard this and sneered at him, “Your last name is actually Chen, right.”
Wei Xiao: “?”
Brother Cai: “Nickname––Shanxi Old Chen’s Vinegar.”
Wei Xiao: “…………”
Wei Xiao was naturally seated next to Lu Feng, but because everyone was in the car, he didn’t even dare to hold his hand.
At this moment, his heart was sour, and his hands were no longer well behaved.
How could Lu Feng not understand him?
He was wearing a black jacket today, but it was too hot and he’d hung it on the hook of the seat in front of him.
Lu Feng tugged gently, draping his coat over his legs.
Wei Xiao: “!”
Lu Feng held his slender fingers, hiding their hands under the coat.
Wei Xiao was satisfied, his fingers scratching lightly against his palm.
Lu Feng pinched him.
Wei Xiao chuckled, the corners of his lips curved so high they could touch the sun.
The Brother Cai who knew nothing came back to deliver them drinks, and he saw Wei Xiao laughing, “F*ck, are you poisonous?!”
Wei Xiao’s smile disappeared in one second, “What.”
Bai Cai: “I called you old vinegar, but you’re still so happy?”
Wei Xiao was complacent, “You… don’t understand shit.”
What was omitted was––you single dog, you don’t understand shit!
Brother Cai didn’t understand him; Brother Cai probably couldn’t understand him for a lifetime!
The organizers had requirements for formal competitions, and they’d arranged for a make-up artist.
After all, the players would all be on camera. Even if it was a profession that wasn’t based on their faces, it was better if they looked a bit more handsome.
FTW’s make-up artist was very cheerful.
The make-up artist had endless praise for the five starters, “Your skin is so nice, it’s even paler than mine after make-up, hey, Quiet, your face is so tender, there’s no need for foundation; Close’s eyebrows are too stylish, there’s no need to do anything extra…”
Later, it was only Yue Wenle who took a bit longer.
It wasn’t that God Le wasn’t handsome. In fact, Yue Wenle’s skin color was the palest, and he was even a little bit paler than Wei Xiao.
Wei Xiao was a clean, warm, pale color, while Yue Wenle was a kind of deathly pale. The make-up artist had to put in a lot of effort to add some color back onto his face.
In fact, over the years, the opening game had become more for entertainment than a real competition.
There were no points for it anyway, and it was between the first place and runner up from the previous year. Just having fun was enough.
However, it was different this year.
They didn’t know why, but as soon as FTW’s five players appeared, the atmosphere in the entire venue changed.
The audience at the scene were shocked, “They’re so serious!”
“For some reason, I have the illusion that I’m in the audience stands watching the finals.”
“Worth it, bought a regular season ticket to watch the finals.”
“Speaking up quietly, does FTW pick their members based on their appearance?!”
Looking at them in reality at the scene, all of them had long legs and high appearance values. Deadly!
It wasn’t just the live audience, even the people watching in the live broadcast room had discovered it––
“They’re so serious, is FTW scared to lose?”
“After all, this year’s RR is very different. They won against EVE in the winter training camp, which made them famous everywhere.”
“Is FTW under pressure? Maybe they don’t want to lose to RR?”
“Even if it’s just an opening game, and there’s no points for it, maybe they don’t want to lose face as the champions.”
“Tsk tsk, it’s quite exciting.”
“I think that FTW’s just making a big fuss out of nothing. If they take it so seriously, then lose, it’ll be even more humiliating.”
“Hahaha, does the R fan above feel good saying that? Your family’s Moon God cares the most about winning and losing. Do those who lose their temper when they lose not feel embarrassed dissing others?”
“So what if we lose our temper! It’s still better than your FTW’s bunch of cowardly babies!”
“F*ck, how is our FTW cowardly? We…”
“If you guys have the skill, then win against L&P and win against Pro!”
“Didn’t you guys just win against EVE by fluke? And they’re last year’s fourth place. R fans, don’t be so shameless.”
“So what if they were fourth place? It’s still better than you guys who took advantage of other people’s bad states and ended up getting hammered by God Kim!”
Tch, there was no doubting that the fans of both sides were tearing into each other.
This was very normal. In the e-sports circle, regardless of whether they were audience members or players, as senior participants in a MOBA game, how could they survive without flaming each other?
The combat effectiveness of the scrolling comments was amazing. Even before the competition began, the room management had already begun to ‘fight’.
They muted, banned, and cleared the screen, their hand speed no less than that of professional players!
The players adjusted their equipment. The referees checked over their set-up, and the commentators gave exaggerated praise at the front of the stage.
After praising FTW, praising RR, praising Close, and praising Moonlit.
They finally also took out the Porsche and joked about it.
Commentator A: “I heard that Captain Mo personally drove the car to the FTW base?”
Commentator B: “Isn’t that so? FTW even invited him to stay for lunch.”
“This lunch was a little expensive, hey.”
“There’s no other way, who told White to reincarnate as the god of luck?”
Then, they started talking about the previous arena competition, giving a round of praise to Quiet.
“Nine light arcs, that’s really good.”
“FTW’s future is impressive!”
“At present, out of all the players in all the competition zones, the only players who are able to brush out nine light arcs are all in our China competition zone.”
“Something to be proud of.”
The noisy fans in the scrolling comments all shut up. When faced with absolute strength, any trash talk was nothing but paper tigers.
No matter whose fans they were, they had to admit that Quiet had been explosively badass that day.
In particular, that direct video that FTW’s official blog released––
The cool youth showing off his operations online, it was so cool it made their legs go soft.
Nine light arc was synonymous with Close
Now, his successor could also do it.
The FTW’s inherited shadow thief was worthy of its reputation!
The scrolling comments had shut up, but there was a different atmosphere in the FTW team chat––
Chen Feng: “Quiet, do you want the shadow thief?”
Today, Wei Xiao was a little cub who spoiled his captain like crazy, “Let’s see what the captain uses.”
He could play with anything. He wanted to cooperate well with the captain and fly together with him in the canyon.
Brother Cai glanced at him, “You don’t want to show off your nine light arcs again?”
It had only been a solo game before. If he could show it off during the opening game, it would become a very thorough explosion.
Wei Xiao: “Um…”
Brother Cai rolled his eyes, “Enough already, the whole internet knows that you’re badass. Quiet, you don’t have to put on an act.”
Wei Xiao blinked his eyes, “Um…” He was serious, “Which one of you can tell me, how did I manage to do nine light arcs?”
Everyone in FTW: “…………”
Wei Xiao was still humbly asking for advice with an open mind, “I watched the video, and I watched the broadcast replay, but the problem is… I really don’t remember how I managed to do nine light arcs.”
He really was confused. That day, he’d just learned about the captain’s shoulder injury. He’d been so sad that he didn’t even remember how he’d hammered Moonlit to death.
After the event, a whole group of people praised him for being amazing. Only then did Wei Xiao realize that he’d brushed out nine light arcs.
But the problem was…
How had he done it?!
Brother Cai almost smashed his face into the keyboard, “You f*cking…”
The recordings from the team chat would be edited and released.
Wei Xiao: “It’s okay, this section can be broadcast. I, Quiet, can sit right here and brush out nine light arcs with my eyes closed, but I’ll never admit that I brushed them out with my eyes open.”
Brother Cai was about to kneel down in respect, “When it comes to acting badass, I only respect Brother Xiao.”
xiin: apparently WX’s voice really turns LF on… *spreads hands*

Virtuous Cultivation
-July 10, 2022- Stocked Chapters: 8 I'm out of hiatus, but honestly, I can't trust myself to post consistently anymore... A new arc is about to begin, and I'll start posting again once the entirety is done. It might take a year, but honestly, this story is going to go on for the foreseen future anyway... so I suppose that's just a blip in the grand scheme of things? I'll leave updates here every once in a while, if for some reason you're still actively checking on this incredibly slow story T-T The path of cultivation is often portrayed as one stained by bloodshed. But is that truly necessary? Heaven is merciful, after all. On a rather ordinary day, a peasant girl was whisked away by a strange old man. In a hall of great white jade, she was offered the chance to cultivate. ...too bad she's as lazy as a sloth. Slice of life Xianxia with fairly little action in early chapters, more focused on comedy. Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

Gray's Crucible
“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
