《Glory e-sports》Chapter 129: Mister Lu, if you don't sign in three seconds, we'll be increasing the interest!

A 10,000 word love letter was a bit difficult. Wei Xiao didn’t try to make things hard for his boyfriend and said, “How about we play 10,000 games of solo when you come back instead?”
After saying this, he remembered that when the two of them had first met again, LU had bought 10,000 games with him as an accompanying player. He was amused again. “Boss?”
Lu Feng could hear that his voice wasn’t faking anything and that his tone really was bright. He was relieved. “No need.”
Wei Xiao was just planning to act up again.
Lu Feng: “Writing a love letter is better.”
Wei Xiao: “!”
He’d just been joking. He’d really never expected to win first prize.
“Really?”
“Mm.”
“10,000 words.”
“Sure.”
“For me?”
“If not you, then who?”
“…… Damn!”
Wei Xiao couldn’t hold on anymore. He licked his lips, “Captain, I take these things very seriously. I’m really going to believe you!”
Glory’s number one little demon was actually quite sincere.
Lu Feng: “It’s fine.”
Wei Xiao’s heartbeat was chaotic, “Then, can I get an advance on it?”
“Hm?”
“Just read the start to me first.”
“……”
“Oh, right, don’t write it, and don’t type it. 10,000 words will make your hands very tired. You can dictate it to me orally, and pay in installments. I won’t even charge you interest!”
Dictation, installments, interest, Little Lunatic Wei, you’re really capable!
Lu Feng laughed briefly. “Little Xiao.”
Wei Xiao’s ears heated. “Yes.” His answer was very well-behaved.
Lu Feng suddenly lowered his voice, “Go back to the hotel early and review the game. I’m hanging up now.”
Wei Xiao: “…………”
His 10,000 word love letter started with a ‘go back to the hotel and review the game’?!
However, this place really wasn’t a suitable place to remain at for a long time. Considering that Lu Feng was also still in the hospital at this time, Wei Xiao didn’t dare to pester him more. He just typed, “10,000 words!”
Lu Feng didn’t reply.
Wei Xiao grew more energetic. “Mister Lu, if you don’t sign in three seconds, we’ll be increasing the interest!”
3, 2, 1.
Lu Feng replied, “Did it increase?”
Wei Xiao: “………………”
Had the captain not replied back to him deliberately and waited for the interest to increase?
What was wrong with this debtor!
Too… it was too lovable!
Wei Xiao wasn’t willing to leave. He leaned against the wall and typed to him.
For better or worse, he was a little more serious after hanging up. Wei Xiao spoke about some serious matters, mainly focusing on the game.
He might be bratty, might be wild, might be sweet, but proper business couldn’t be forgotten.
For the captain to call now, it meant that he must be worried. Wei Xiao couldn’t bear to have him worry.

For this game between FTW and 3U, Wei Xiao had made enough psychological preparations prior to the start of the game.
He’d stayed up late a few days ago and watched all the game videos for 3U over the recent half a year, including several of their games from the winter training camp.
The more he watched, the calmer he grew. The more he watched, the more of an understanding emerged in his heart.
3U was undoubtedly a strong team this year, and their brilliant operations during the winter training camp was enough to let them come out on top as a first class team.
There was no need to discuss Asleep, who was an extremely skilled jungler.
Li Chun was a bit similar to Ning Zhehan. They were both very well rounded mid-laners who could play well with both assassin mages and fortress type defensive mages.
Little Ning hadn’t yet had time to train up a support type mid-lane hero, while Li Chun already had a set. He could use both the zither warlock and the medicine warlock, and he played them both very well.
Popsicle was a newcomer who’d just joined 3U this year. He was a relatively stable top-lane player, and he was basically already integrated into the team.
Yoyo was an old player from 3U. He wasn’t top-notch in all aspects, but he was very well-suited for the current 3U’s jungler core team. He could cooperate very well with Asleep, and was a rare ADC who performed stably with very little resources.
In fact, the person who’d caught Wei Xiao’s attention the most was Cong Yi.
Many people thought of Asleep when they saw 3U––Cong Yi was more like a foil, a green leaf that supported Asleep.
But anyone who thought about it seriously for a while would understand and see that Cong Yi wasn’t a foil, let alone a green leaf. He was the sniper gun’s eight-fold scope, the oil that lubricated the engine, and the booster fuel that ignited the rocket!
Without him, there wouldn’t be the current Asleep, and there wouldn’t be the current 3U.
This man who hid himself in the back was the real driving force of 3U!
When looking at such a 3U, the predicted win rate in Wei Xiao’s heart was 30%.
For them to be able to win the first game, and force 3U to take out this obviously treasured, long-cherished line-up in their last game, Wei Xiao already felt that they’d really scored a bargain!
The storm thief, hey.
Asleep had played it pretty well.
He could give it a try too.
Taking someone else’s play style and making it so that they had no way out––he might as well borrow and use TPT’s famous saying for once.
After chatting with Lu Feng for a long time, Lu Feng asked him, “You’re really not sad because you lost the game?”
Acting spoiled and cute could be done continuously, but when it was time to be serious…

Wei Xiao: “What’s there to be sad about, I’m too happy about how strong 3U is.”
Lu Feng: “?”
Wei Xiao asked him back, “Captain, why does our FTW want to win the world championship?”
Lu Feng: “……”
Sure enough, Wei Xiao was able to poke straight at his heart every time, “It’s for the whole China competition zone, right?”
Did Close want a world championship?
Did FTW want a world championship?
It was the whole China competition zone that wanted a world championship!
Winning this world championship wasn’t just for FTW. It was also to prove to the world that the China competition zone wasn’t weak!
The countless players in China, the millions of fans in the China competition zone, the three year slump that the China competition zone had gone through…
All of this needed a demonstration!
They wanted to use the world cup to tell all their fans, the hundreds of millions of players, and the whole world: Glory belongs to us!
So…
Wei Xiao was very happy seeing that 3U was very strong.
What he wanted wasn’t just FTW to become strong on their own. He wanted the whole China competition zone to rise up!
Only such a championship had weight and meaning.
Only a China competition zone like this would be able to change its vitality!
Lu Feng lowered his eyelashes, his fingers very gentle as he typed, “Yes.”
He and Wei Xiao were separated by tens of thousands of kilometers, but when he looked up, it was as though he could see––
The ten o’clock morning sunshine, the brilliant sun that lit up the whole world.
This conversation lasted for more than ten minutes. It was time for Wei Xiao to go back.
He put away his cell phone and went back, but when he passed by the bathroom, he turned to go in.
They would have to travel for more than half an hour by car. It was better to go to the toilet first.
The hall was quite big, and the backstage area was divided into zones. When they were waiting for the game, they and 3U were both in the public area, so they’d been interviewed together.
Only after the previous game was over would they go to their lounges, and they’d be separated because the passageways were different.
FTW and 3U were the second game of the evening and were followed by another game.
It seemed to be RR against HU.
Needless to say, RR was an ‘old enemy team’, and they’d played so many training matches together that they wanted to vomit.
HU was in Group B, and Wei Xiao didn’t know much about them. FTW hadn’t had a training match with them.
However, this club had been in the limelight recently for buying a star player from the European division. The whole team had changed blood, and even the coaching team had been reorganized. Their momentum was fierce.
As soon as Wei Xiao arrived at the bathroom, he heard the sound of activity inside.
He didn’t think too much of it, just treating it as RR or HU who’d come over.
Then, he heard the dispute.
“What? Tang Chen’s always been crappy. He was Yuan Ze’s substitute for two years, but wasn’t he kicked away after the fact?”
“Having a championship ring is really great. A substitute for the Team of Gods, even a dog can do it.”
“Come on, if Tang Chen had even a bit of skill, would your FTW be this crappy?”
“How funny. A former world champion losing to a low-end team like 3U, yet you don’t feel embarrassed talking back.”
“If I were you, I would’ve gone home to raise pigs a long time ago. Why stay here to make a fool of yourselves.”
“Oh, your Close has already gone to North America to raise…”
“You f*cking…”
Yue Wenle rushed over.
Wei Xiao reacted quickly and came up to stop Yue Wenle.
The backstage bathroom wasn’t big. There were only three wash basins, but four people were standing there.
On one side were faces of strangers in HU team uniforms, and on the other side were Yue Wenle and Ning Zhehan.
It was unknown how long Ning Zhehan and Yue Wenle had been there, but at this time, one of their faces was red, and the other’s was pale with fright. Obviously, they’d already lost their heads.
The person speaking on the other side was a tall man with short hair, thick eyebrows, and thin eyes. His nose was very high, and his facial features were very three-dimensional, but his temperament was sharp and mean.
When the two people from HU saw Wei Xiao, they didn’t take him seriously and continued to provoke them, “What, not letting us talk about how crappy you are?”
“The crappiest player amongst you is Close. Just look at the Team of Gods. Other than him, who else from the team isn’t doing extremely well for themselves right now.”
“In my opinion, he didn’t go to North America to cure his shoulder, but to find his next home.”
Yue Wenle was going crazy, “Shut the hell up!”
The man smiled and said, “What, do you even want to hit me?”
Yue Wenle: “You…”
The man had no fear. “Hit me, hey, if you want to be banned from the game, then hit me.”
The backstage area was filled with surveillance cameras. Anyone who dared to move a finger would be caught.
Wei Xiao might look thin normally, but his arms were very strong. He stopped Yue Wenle steadily and kept him from acting impulsively.
The man looked at Wei Xiao. “You’re Quiet?”
Wei Xiao looked at him coldly. “No.”
The man raised his eyebrows.
Wei Xiao: “I’m your daddy.”
xiin: you don’t want this son, little lunatic~

NOVA INTERIT.US
It's 2063, and the town along with much of the nation are in disarray. The decay started years before the Great Event. Our town still had hope thanks to the five families, who'd created a blockchain based water distribution system for the locals, a valuable secret hidden from the Global Water Commission and their network of mercenaries. Earlier in the mid-2040's, right after the state secessions of Idaho, Montana, and Texas, the Global Council of Water Commissioners made their deals and moved into towns throughout the country. They called it "the integration." The Commission and their contractors integrated with municipal water departments, using their organized network to invade like parasites on local services. It all coincided with the 29th Amendment to the United States Constitution, later referred to as the Regional Trident Plan. Nova is a story about survival, power structures, the turning of relationships, and the networking between people and the systems to which they belong. It’s about A.I. blockchain possibility, and its potential for human betterment versus our detriment. It’s about the question of whether or not we need to be saved from ourselves, and by who or what? The Great Event at the end of the first chapter might just be what actually saves us. The epilogue will take place in 2517. This scene is fully sketched and the full arc of the novel is set. I expect to finish Nova Interitus by summer of 2023. This is realist hard-sci-fi dystopian fiction. I hope you find Nova to be a challenging and consuming story. This is not something I planned to write. It all came to me in a dream and I haven't been able to stop writing it. This Royal Road posting is basically a beta test with chapters and drafts to get some feedback and see if there's any readership for this narrative. For the full experience read Nova on Substack. I will be narrating a podcast version later this year there. https://novainteritus.substack.com/

A Portal Fantasy Comedy Poem
Mix an adolescent shepherd boy in love with a girl who wants to meet existentialists, a Viscount in need of an adventure, and a bland psychic. Add in a flippant god. Put them in a land made up of the after-lives of various different cultures. Stir gently. Sprinkle in some random Midgard Serpent, Genghis Khan, Scheherazade, and a cussing mocking bird. Fry lightly. Season to taste and serve with desired garnishes. Bon apetit! A comic fantasy poetic epic, filled with misfits, slapstick routines, light romance, people shouting out the names of their battle skills before using them, old philosopher dudes running around naked, a very serious lamb, demonic knitting, battery operated magic swords and even more traumatising stuff! I experimented with different styles in the beginning and finally settled on an ABABBCBC rhyme scheme (Give me your 0.5s. Gimme, gimme, gimme. I'm collecting them, seriously)

Devil's Basement: Colony Ragnarok
Far beneath the surface of a planet wrapped in a toxic atmosphere, competing political ideologies stare each other down over a heavily militarised line that cuts through the city on their border. Among the dark rail tunnels and mine shafts are an unfinished treaty up for negotiation; a fanatical terrorist group with questionable backers; and ordinary people caught in the middle. In this claustrophobic environment, those who desire peace must act quickly or these tunnels will collapse in the fires of war. _____ This story is based on a role-playing map game I GM'd awhile ago. The four main characters are based on the four players from that map game, and the general sequence of events follows the game as well. Cover art: inncect (formerly astrxphoria) from wattpad.com, where this story was first published.
