《Glory e-sports》Chapter 188: When encountering trouble, start off with solo.

Wei Xiao had stayed up all night, but his gains went beyond what he’d put into words.
He had gained a visual understanding of Yue Wenle, but it still required further exploration through action. Another important point was to figure out how to push Yue Wenle’s recklessness to the extreme.
Changing it was too difficult; it was better to adapt it instead.
Perhaps, Yue Wenle’s greatest problem wasn’t that he was reckless, but that he wasn’t reckless enough.
As for how to strengthen it?
Coincidentally, Wei Xiao had a lot of experience with this.
When encountering trouble, start off with solo. This was FTW’s ancestral inherited secret recipe.
Three days later, the top four teams in the China competition zone came out, hot out of the oven. The names on the list didn’t surprise anyone––FTW, RR, 3U, TPT.
There were a total of four games for the eight into four round, and all four teams had played beautifully.
The fans had a great time watching the games, and were very much looking forward to watching these four teams, who were in such good states, kill their way into the semi-finals.
Of course, some fans were sour for no reason:
“Why did the competition system have to change this year?”
“I love these four teams so much, I can’t bear to see any of them be eliminated QAQ!”
“I’ll feel bad no matter who loses. I want to watch them go to the globals and continue to fight!”
Some people advised them, “Think about it from another angle. You’ll be happy no matter who wins!”
“Why wait for the globals? Fight hard domestically! Whoever can take the championship will be fighting for our country! That’s even more domineering!”
“Yeah! If they’re able to get the top spot from such a fierce clash, then they’ll have nothing to fear in the globals!”
The semi-finals followed a draw system, and the competition committee had specially arranged for a live draw.
There was a small dispute within FTW about the draw.
Wei Xiao raised his hand.
Chen Feng: “You want to go?”
Wei Xiao shot Brother Cai a fawning glance, “Let our Caicai go!”
If they didn’t use his little lucky hands now, then when would they use it?
Bai Cai felt a chill run down his back. He said in shock, “I refuse!”
His hands were poisonous. Little Lunatic Wei was the lucky one, but he, the White Cabbage, was the opposite.
As a salted fish, Brother Cai just wanted to pick soft persimmons. Although none of the three teams were soft, he would be a sinner forever if he drew 3U!

Brother Cai knew that Wei Xiao had been training up Yue Wenle recently.
The results of this special training wasn’t clear, but it was certain that 3U’s Asleep had an advantage over Yue Wenle, and it would be best if they tried not to meet 3U in the semi-finals.
Wei Xiao stared at him. “What are you backing down for?”
Bai Cai: “I just am!”
Wei Xiao tried to seduce him. “Go, go. I’ll give you a red envelope.”
Brother Cai: “……”
Wei Xiao put up two fingers.
Brother Cai puffed out his chest. “Is Laozi a person who can be bought with just 2000?”
Wei Xiao: “20,000.”
Brother Cai: “!!!”
Chen Feng knocked against the table and interrupted these two people who were messing around. “I’ll handle the draw.”
Brother Cai: “Eh…” How come the 20,000 that had almost been in reach had now flown away?
Wei Xiao was angry and disdained him. “Who told you to drag things out!”
Bai Cai wanted to try for it again. “I, in fact, I… coach…”
Chen Feng stared at him, and Brother Cai shut up.
Lu Feng picked up the thread of the conversation, “I’ll go.”
Chen Feng shook his head. “None of the starters should go.”
Wei Xiao and Bai Cai-cai both stopped.
They understood Chen Feng’s worries, so it was hard for them to say anything else.
There was pressure involved in the draw for the semi-finals.
Especially in FTW’s current situation where they obviously hoped to avoid 3U in the semi-finals.
There were expectations, fear, and disappointment.
Regardless of whether it was Wei Xiao or Bai Cai, or even Lu Feng who went to draw lots, it would be alright if they drew a team they wanted, but if they drew an opponent they didn’t want, it would inevitably have an impact on their mentality.
Chen Feng offered to go in order to relieve them of this pressure.
In this way, no matter what the results were, it would have nothing to do with their teammates, and the blame would be on Chen Feng.
Of course, Wei Xiao and the others wouldn’t complain.
They just had to fight and be done with it; there was nothing to be afraid of!
The results of the draw came out that night.
Chen Feng: “……”
Brother Cai was even more distressed about the 20,000.
Wei Xiao was in high spirits. “Old Yue!”
The potato chip king that had been hollowed out these recent few days. “… Add two more hours.”

Wei Xiao chuckled. “Sure.”
Little Ning was infected by their attitude. “I want to work hard, too!”
Brother Yue was too inspirational. Ning Zhehan, who’d been watching this ‘special training’, felt very sad. If he was the target of this special training, he’d be crying every night until his voice went hoarse.
The semi-finals draw map was posted up online.
May 25: FTW vs. 3U.
May 27: RR vs. TPT.
FTW ultimately still encountered 3U, but now, Wei Xiao was really eager to show the results of this ‘special training’ to the audience across the whole country.
3U’s club.
The atmosphere at the 3U club was more dignified than that of FTW’s.
This year’s FTW was in full swing. Quiet had joined their team, and their top-jungler combo was too strong. 3U had been able to win a game during the regular season, but Lu Feng hadn’t been there at the time, and the tacit understanding between Tang Chen and Wei Xiao had obviously been a little lacking. It had been a close win for 3U even when they fought against FTW in that state, but now…
Zhou Xuehai, 3U’s manager, was very upset after he saw the results of the draw.
3U’s Coach Leng said directly, “I was responsible for the draw, and this is the result.”
Zhou Xuehai: “You have unlucky hands!”
Coach Leng: “Even if you can avoid them in the semi-finals, you can’t skip the finals and will always end up meeting them anyway.”
Zhou Xuehai: “How can that be the same? One is the runner up, and the other is fourth place!”
There were five starters in the training room. Li Chun and the others had their eyes lowered and were as quiet as chickens.
Asleep suddenly raised his head, his black eyes staring at Zhou Xuehai.
Zhou Xuehai: “……” He was caught by surprise and choked.
Cong Yi said leisurely, “The game hasn’t been played yet, but you’re already giving up?”
Zhou Xuehai’s heart felt blocked and flustered. He said, “Are you guys not clear about FTW’s situation in your own hearts?”
Cong Yi: “If you don’t even dare to face FTW, then so what if you win the championship? Do you plan for us to shame ourselves in the globals?”
Zhou Xuehai: “Then, for better or worse, we’d have to take the domestic championship first!”
Cong Yi sneered, “So it turns out that you actually want to win the championship.” This was retorting to his previous runner-up and fourth place comment from before.
Zou Xuehai was so angry that he couldn’t speak.
Cong Yi glanced at Asleep, then said to Coach Leng. “If there’s nothing else, then we’ll continue training.”
Zhou Xuehai was unable to get over his anger and asked, “How are you doing with your doubles training?”
Cong Yi: “We’ll talk about it after the domestic games.”
Another big change with the new competition system had taken place in the singles and doubles competitions.
The big brawl mode had really changed the singles and doubles competition. There weren’t enough players from one competition zone to hold a 100 person battle.
Therefore, the singles and doubles competition had been moved directly to the global competition. Like in the opening game, they would be broadcast live across the different competition zones, and the game was a direct global brawl.
When Zhou Xuehai brought this up, his meaning was that he wanted to give up the team competition and strive for a good result in the doubles instead.
Coach Leng couldn’t listen on anymore. “Although FTW is strong, we’re not weak either. There’s no need to bring up others like this and extinguish our own prestige.”
Zhou Xuehai still wanted to say something more.
Asleep spoke up coldly, “Noisy.”
Zhou Xuehai: “…………”
At the end of the day, Zhou Xuehai couldn’t afford to provoke the star player of the team and didn’t dare to say anything else despite having a belly full of anger. He turned and left the training room.
That night, all of 3U’s games were played in silence.
Asleep’s expression was cold, and Cong Yi didn’t try to adjust the atmosphere. Li Chun and the others didn’t dare to make a sound, and their five queue games were played so quietly that it was horrifying.
But even so, they managed a continuous winning streak in the professional server.
It was particularly easy to run into other professional teams from all over the world when queuing as a team of five.
Although the level of these anonymous teams was uneven, the fact that they were able to win the whole way was enough to prove 3U’s strength.
Asleep didn’t say a word, was even blinking slowly, and the operations of his hands couldn’t even be described as very fast, but once someone looked at the screen and saw the match being played in the canyon, they’d be amazed at the crackling mania of the thief in the game.
He was lazy outside the game.
But crazy inside the game.
Coach Leng, who was watching from the side, was always amazed by this sharp contrast no matter how many times he saw it.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
