"I can say no, there's so much I wanted to have done more I could not, I wanted to have my mother with me for a longer time, I wanted to have friends who really liked me and did not stay with me just for pity, I wanted to have much more money only if I had things I wanted to have and people I could spend with. "
"I wanted to go to more parties, I wanted to have a car, I wanted to have a motorcycle, I wanted to have a boat."
"I wanted to meet more girls, I wanted to have someone I loved and loved me back, I wanted to get married, I wanted to have children, I wanted to have a family."
"I wanted to have a run, I wanted to have played more sports, I wanted to have played basketball with other people normally, I wanted to have played real games, I wanted to have won a lot of titles and prizes."
"I wanted to have my legs ..."
When he was close to death Jake finally saw that he was not totally happy, he broke that barrier that had around his heart and his mind and blew.
Jake knew that what was missing for him was something that the harder he tried in this life he could not have.
In fact, he always knew this, but Jake was a bit like his mother, he spent his whole life with it stuck in his heart without having someone to vent, so just now that he was close to death he released everything that was stuck in your heart.
Although Jake accepted that he was going to die in a few minutes and be prepared for it, he could not help but fear death, after all, this is the instinct of the human being, there is no one who truly does not fear death, only people who accept it more quietly when it comes.
If Jake died a few minutes after his accident he would not have thought of all this, but he was already knocked down on this floor with no one to watch him die, so he could not stop thinking about what he regretted while he cried.
Despite being 40 years old Jake was still young, and although he suffered from some things all those years it was never enough to take away his will to live.

Maybe if Jake could be sure he could see his mother after his death he would be much calmer, death was still unknown territory, and everyone is afraid of the unknown.
So now Jake could only get rid of everything he had stuck in his heart, shout out to the world the injustices he suffered, though Jake always comforted himself by thinking positively for his whole life, this might just be an escape from thinking at all. things that were bad.
Just as everything has its positive side, everything also has its positive side, it was just a matter of point of view if someone was positive or negative.
So Jake was someone if he always saw only the good side of life, plus he also thought about the bad side, and the bad things he kept in his heart like a bitterness that he lived just now with the near-death Jake weaves the courage finally get rid of all this weight, thinking that maybe he would feel a little freer.
When he relaxed something happened to Jake.
[Then you finally saw what was missing for you, which left you incomplete], Jake heard that robotic voice in his head.
"Who are you?" Jake asked, startled.
[I am the will of this world, well a small portion of it, what you call destiny].
"Fate, and what do you want with me?"
At this moment near death, Jake did not care to ask if fate was real or not, if he was going crazy he would die anyway, at least he had someone to talk to and not just expect death alone.
Besides, everyone always had some hope that something would happen to them differently than others, when someone was in danger they always expected somewhere in the bottom of their hearts that something might appear to save them, they just did not think much of it for not be disappointed when it did not happen.
Maybe that's why people liked superhero stories so much.
[I like the will of the world I saw you, Jake, I saw a man who likes you said no luck, and your luck is so bad that it even affected the people close to you, but you were always optimistic and never blamed fate. In fact, I eat the will of the world I do not decide anything, each one decides his own way, and that makes karma. In your case your karma is incomparably good, you have never hurt anyone and suffered for things you did not deserve.]

"What do you mean?"
[You paid for the karma of a life that went beyond what you did, and if you decided that you were happy anyway I would let it go, but in the end, you realized what was missing from you, a wish, a wish that could never be accomplished.]
"So you came to explain to me that I have had an exemplary life and can die happy and peaceful?"
[Not for everything you did I decided to give you a chance, a second chance.]
When he heard this, Jake's heart that looked like moribund coals rose again with the fire of hope, a second chance, was not it what he wanted? Jake, who lived almost everything he could live, only regretted having lost his mother, but how could it not be changed, the other thing Jake regretted was not having his legs when he loved running so much, and also not being able to have a family, he wanted to have someone he could love and love him back.
"A second chance like that?"
[I'll send you back to the past, 30 years when you were 10, and I'll send a small part of me with your soul, you'll remember everything you've lived and that piece of me will help you accomplish the things you've always wanted more because of that injustice that happened you can not have.]
"Is this like a system like that of stories?"
[You could say yes.]
"Thank you thank you very much."
Jake thanked fate crying, this was an opportunity for him to have everything he wanted.
[If it's a system what will it be called?]
Asked the system curious, the whole system of stories had a name that showed the ultimate goal of the user. So Jake replied with a smile.
"To be happy."
[It's a wonderful goal, now go and be happy.]
So Jake received the second chance he so badly wanted, and even better than he had thought because now he could take care of his mother properly as he can not before.
He would also have enough time to organize his life in the future find a woman that he loved and thus build his family.
Now what he had to make sure first was that nothing happened to his mother, he would not allow his mother to die again, and the other thing was that he could not afford to be crippled again, almost everything he lost was related to him to lose the feeling of the legs in that accident.
He missed the chance to take the college entrance exam and earn a place at university to fulfill his mother's dream, he also became impotent because of the accident and so he cannot marry and have a family for all that time, and his mother died too of depression because she felt responsible for her accident and was sad to see her son in that state.
So Jake could not wait to get back into the past, he would make his mother happy and fulfill his dream of being a basketball player, so eventually he would use his talent that he can not use for his neglect when he was young, and with basketball he could enter college and fulfill her mother's dream and still earn enough money faster so she could leave that restaurant that also caused a lot of stress and contribute to the cause of her death.
Now what he had to do was train hard, so he was sure that with 7 years training he would get a scholarship to a university, with his talent, he thought he could even enter the NBA one day, and so he would fulfill his dream of winning trophies and competitions.
Jake now was not the same as a few minutes ago that was hopeless and full of complaints, he had forgotten everything bad that happened, after venting and having a new chance Jake did not resent the things that happened all these years, he did not care for wealth left behind.
After that a great light cleared the store and then Jake disappeared, he said goodbye to his past and now was the beginning of his new story.

Charlotte Powers: Diary of a Would-Be Superhero
The journal of a girl who thinks she knows. (Spoiler: She does not know.) "...an odd combination of stream-of-conscious anxieties and high-flying save-the-world goals written by an overzealous, naïve teenaged girl in her wristwatch computer diary."-readers are better at describing stories than the writers who wrote them "When it's over you look up: the world looks the same, but you are somehow different and that feeling lingers for days."-bit OTT but I'll take it "...everything cannot just be good and then be even more good, in this story, right?"-100% accurate assessment "...the plot was bland and the character uninteresting. It was just a very dull read. I cannot recommend this book to anyone."-oh well can't win them all Discord for discussion. Complain about Charlotte's nonsense! Ship the characters! Do a thing! Now entering the second arc, Power Play. Things are getting serious. We're heading towards something important. Charlotte is still largely clueless. But she is trying so hard.

A Primeval Future
Follow the story of a modern caveman as he learns to survive, thrive, and shape his nascent civilization in a world yet untouched by man. Expect a focus on the nitty-gritty of primitive living, especially early on. I plan for this to eventually progressing to the settlement management and politics stage as people gravitate towards the one guy who looks like he knows what he's doing, but this will likely take some time. Despite the occasional system elements, skilling and levels will not be a part of this story. No shortcuts. There will be violence and there will be sexuality but there will be no sexual violence. I hate reading that crap and I hate writing it even more. This is my first serious foray into writing. I plan to put out at least 1 chapter a week, more when I can. Constructive criticism is very much welcomed as are ideas and suggestions! Cover image credit: "Mesolithic camp site" by Wessex Archaeology is licensed with CC BY-NC 2.0.
