《Netheril’s Glory 》Chapter 105: Beginning of the decisive battle.

Punk, who didn't know what Bilan was doing in his mage tower, had once again started another round of battle with the high priest.
In a sea of flames, Punk had continuously released more than a dozen kinetic energy bursts. The high priest with his spider limbs was not any slower than Punk himself, who had blessed himself with Advance swiftness, or at least that was the case in terms of pure speed. So using his several dry limbs, the high priest managed to avoid all of Punk's "kinetic energy burst" one after another.
And during this process, the high priest also completed another spell:
"This is the spell that Goddess Ti Xiaer bestowed on me. It is a modified spell. You will be destroyed under the wisdom of Goddess Ti Xiaer."
Accompanied by the high priest's angry words, dozens of palm-sized blazing red flame spiders emerged from his side. These spiders had huge bright-red glowing abdomens, and there seemed to be a terrifying amount of energy trapped inside them that was giving off a dangerous atmosphere.
Seeing the appearance of the flame spiders, Punk did not hesitate to retreat quickly. With the system's analysis, he almost immediately recognized which spell's modified version this spell actually was. The conclusion of the system analysis was presented in his mind. Punk was somewhat shocked by the result.
Spell name: Unknown.
Spell Status: Moderately modified.
Prototype Spell: Official-level Summoning Spell-Selfexploding Firewolf: Summoned a fire elemental wolf that could Self-destruct to attack the enemy.
Expected negative effects of the modification: Reduced power, reduced spell defence, reduced the intelligence level of the virtual soul of the summoned creatures, and reduce the ability to break through defences.
Expected positive effects of the modification: Strengthen mobility, increased the number of summoned creatures, Continuous attack ability, and reduce mana consumption.
Punk looked solemnly at the dozens of exploding spiders coming toward him at a very high speed. The prototype spell of this modified spell had a powerful lethality, but Punk was not sure about the lethality of these little guys, but since the enemy had used it, he guessed that the power should not be too low.
"Should I use No. 1 to intercept them!"
Punk solemnly gave up the damage spell that he had almost completed and quickly put a layer of "iron armor" on the body of the Flesh Golem. He used an Official-level summoning spell that summoned a layer of iron armor for defense.

Punk really didn't dare to let these spiders come near him. But such a large number couldn't be avoided entirely in such a small area inside the inner room, so he wanted to let No. 1 destroy this group of spiders.
After putting on the iron armor, No. 1 looked like a simple version of the Iron Man. It strode toward a spider and swung its sharp claw at the little spider on the ground.
"Boom!!"
The sound of the huge explosion stirred up a wave of high-speed air, and No.1 staggered for several steps after being hit by the shock wave.
"What happened?"
Punk looked at the place where the spider exploded and narrowed his eyes.
Although Punk never used or saw it being used but he still somewhat knew the effect of the spell "Exploding Fire Wolf." The main killing method of this spell was the explosion of high-temperature flames, but the little flame-spiders in front of him just released a powerful searing shock wave. Although, in this case, the flesh Golem suffered less damage, but If it staggered several steps every time a spider was killed, it would be very difficult for it to destroy all the little spiders in a short time.
"Boy, do you still have time for distraction?"
The high priest grinned and threw a ball made of dozens of flame spiders using mage hand. The ball made of many flame spiders exuded a hot red light and quickly expanded in midair.
"Damn it!"
Punk's eyes narrowed slightly. He quickly calculated the trajectory of the flame spider ball in his mind and then rolled a few times on the ground disregarding the impact.
"Boom…"
The spider ball that exploded in midair erupted with a terrifying shock wave, and the ceiling of the cave was blown into a large hole. A large amount of fragmented soil and rock fell into the sea of fire.
Punk stood up in a corner and then quickly moved to avoid the falling rocks. Punk was shocked by the power of the shock wave created by the spider ball, and he felt a burst of sweetness in his mouth. Unfortunately, he had also suffered internal injury from the explosion.
"Hahaha, you don't have enough combat experience yet. So don't waste time trying to guess my next move."
The high priest laughed wildly and begun to prepare another spider ball once again. Since he discovered that Punk had no good way to deal with the exploding spiders, he had continuously summoned groups of flame spiders. These terrible little guys were then divided into two groups. One group went to counter No. 1, and the other group crawled along the high priest's body into his hand and gathered into a ball.

"Take one more. How long can you hide?"
While talking, the high priest fiercely threw the Spider-Ball in his hand at Punk.
"Why should I hide? If I can't avoid it! Then use it, isn't it what you taught me just a moment ago?"
This time, Punk didn't make any evasive actions. He planned to take advantage of the enemy's "explosive spider ball", so he released a "kinetic energy suppression" spell at the Spider ball that was still close to the high priest.
"Do you think this kind of thing can stop me?"
The high priest roared and moved to the side. The eight articulated limbs allowed him to move faster than the swiftness spell in straight lines, so it was not a problem for him to avoid the kinetic energy suppression spell.
"It's not over yet."
Punk sneered in his heart, and at the same time, ordered No. 1 to stop its desperate interception of the self-exploding spiders and then use today's last Steel- Binding spell to block the high priest's retreat.
With the system's analysis, the position of the steel binding was very precise. The high priest, who was retreating using a speed burst, could not make turns very quickly. He could only watch as suddenly a large number of steel branches rose up in front of him, and then he collided with them.
This was one of the things Punk figured out after analyzing the actions of the high priest. He found that the few seemingly skinny but actually very powerful limbs could provide the high priest with great speed, but unlike his swiftness spell, the high priest didn't have good flexibility. Therefore, in the face of obstacles that suddenly appeared in front of him, the high priest, moving at an extreme speed, could only run into it.
The high priest, who crashed into a large group of steel branches, could not believe that Punk would completely ignore the outburst of the spider on the other side.
"Isn't he afraid of being besieged by a group of spiders? Or does he want to die together?"
The trapped high priest knew that he would not be able to dodge the upcoming attack, but he still turned his head with the last bit of his effort...
What he saw horrified him.
He saw three big pool of acid were blocking the way of the second group of flame spiders. The spiders in front walked into the acid pool unhesitatingly, which caused them to blow up in the middle of the acid pool. Such spontaneous explosions also detonated the following spiders behind them.
"I knew that even an official-level mage like you couldn't control so many spiders at the same time, so I guessed you must have programmed these guys to blow themselves up if they received any injury. Although these acid attacks are greatly weakened by high-temperatures evaporation, it is still more than enough to injure a few spiders. And this group of spiders' wisdom is so pathetic that they can't even recognize the danger of the acid pool, and even after seeing their companions dying in front, they still walked in. Why do you think the person who invented the spell "Exploding Fire Wolf" bothered to use virtual soul while casting this spell?"
Punk looked at the high priest's horrified expression indifferently and muttered in a low voice. After analyzing the abilities of these spiders, he judged that this modified spell was not suitable for frontal combat at all. Otherwise, just one AOE spell could destroy all the little spiders. Its purpose should be concealed assassinations. On a frontal battlefield, even if the enemy was caught off guard, countering it was still too easy.
"I have to admit that this spell is indeed very good, but..."
Punk glanced coldly at the high priest, who had been swallowed by the heatwave.
"I'm afraid this guy didn't expect that my Golem still had a second engraved spell, on top of that an AOE spell, right?"
The terrifying spider ball exploded instantly under the effect of "kinetic energy suppression," and flames and shock waves swallowed the high priest's entire body along with his miserable screams. If there was no more accident, it was almost impossible for the high priest to escape unscathed after getting hit by such a violent explosion at such close range.
But Punk still did not relax at all. After all, although his opponent mostly used offence as the defence, but that did not necessarily mean that the enemy did not have an excellent life-saving method.
And unfortunately, he could perceive the information that he least wanted to perceive-
A faint space fluctuation!
