《Virtual Sword God! 》Chapter 115: A New Feeling

After hearing what Josh had said about Novis being a dark horse on the Montem team, the students started to think back to previous games. But as they looked through their memory banks, not one noticeable memory of Novis being there came up.
"Novis, did he do anything special in the last games?"
"Not that I can remember, I don't think I even saw him in the match highlights."
"Then why is Josh talking about Novis?"
Novis started to lift the jacket he was wearing to cover his face and slowly started to sink into his seat as everyone on the bus started to talk about him. Of course, Novis wanted attention but not like this. This wasn't good or bad attention, it felt like the type of attention you got for being the teacher's pet.
The people on the bus were talking about him for the wrong reasons he felt like.
"Don't worry about them Novis," Scarlett said, "We know more than anyone how special you are to the team."
"Thanks, Scar," Novis said with a smile
Although Novis had felt fine for most of the trip, suddenly he felt like he had butterflies in his stomach. Josh had just stated he was a person to look out for and now people would pay attention to him. If he didn't do anything in this game then he would be mocked for time to come.
And the thought of his brother finding out and watching the game, he knew his brother would never let him forget about this moment.
However, not only were the Montem students watching the broadcast, so were the Woo Woo students and supporters. After the mention of Novis, they immediately went to do some research on him and found his player ID.

Soon the chat started to fill up with Woo Woo supporters.
"What the, this guy is still in Bronze."
"Duh, didn't you realise their whole team is in bronze."
"How did they get this far."
"Easy win for Woo Woo."
"Josh has clearly lost it; he no longer has the talent to scout out future players."
Although Josh could see all the negative comments it didn't affect him one bit. He had confidence that Novis would show something to them in this game. With the open live field, the camera wouldn't be able to avoid Novi's actions.
This confidence was all because Josh had information about Novis that the rest of the world didn't.
He had beaten the best player in the world's son, Lucas. But little did he know that Novis wasn't the actual one to beat him, but it was Arthur.
The broadcast continued and Josh and Cindy started to talk about the other teams. The excitement died down on the bus a little and after another thirty minutes of driving, they had finally reached the stadium.
"Whoa! I've never been in a stadium before." Novis said staring at the large Oval building from the outside.
"It reminds me of the coliseums we used to have in my world," Arthur said.
"Yes a battle of honour and skill, it seems even in this world people still can enjoy the thrill of watching a live match," George said.
Arthur and George were excited and truly wished that they could be the ones fighting in the stadium today, this had brought back memories of their world and made them a little said. But when they looked at Novis and the others smile on their faces, that sadness quickly went away.
"It is time for a new generation," Arthur said.

Everyone had got off the bus and started to head into the stadium, the Woo Woo busses had already arrived and were patiently waiting inside.
When they finally entered through the front doors and into the reception area though, they were surprised to see many people there that didn't belong to the school.
Not only had students come to support the two teams but kids from other schools, parents and even there brothers and sisters had come to watch the game.
"Hey!" A boy shouted.
Novis immediately turned around to look as he recognised the voice.
"Bill? What are you doing here?" Novis said as he saw Bill run off towards him.
"I came here to watch the match with some of my friends, you didn't think I'd miss my big bro's live debut on the professional stage," Bill said, "I have to admit I'm jealous but I know in the future the path I'm going to create will be ten times more grand," Bill said as he started to laugh.
"Thanks, I guess," Novis replied.
"Anyway, I'm going to head back to my friends, just do me a favour don't embarrass me," Bill said as he ran off.
"What a cute brother," Ashley said.
"Yeah, he can get annoying at times, but that's what brothers do."
Hearing the words from Novis's mouth had brought a memory to Dan, and he started smiling to himself.
The students were then split up. The Montem team and supporters went to sit into the stadium seats, while the VSW team was escorted by an official who worked for Goldware corp.
The man escorting the team didn't say much other than follow me. He was quite intimidating with his black suit and black sunglasses as if he was some type of secret agent.
Novis and the others started to walk through a long tunnel and just at the end, the stadium floor could be seen. As they got closer and closer to the exit, each one of them could feel their heart beating louder and louder.
Then when they exited into the bright light and onto the stadium floor the crowd started to cheer. For the first time in his life, Novis felt appreciated for something he had done. He felt like he was worth something.
Even though the stadium was only 1/10 of capacity, the cheers still resonated in their hearts.
This was a feeling that Novis could get addicted to.

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.

Endsworld
This entire story is basically just me, having seen a piece of art on Tumblr, rereading Gerard Way's The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys and getting an idea that may or may not be a good thing?Set in a futuristic world similar to the one in Killjoys, but a bit less cynical. (If that makes sense)Please note that I've done absolutely no planning for this, have no idea when it will update or where I'm going, and the only ships in it are the ones that are confirmed to be canon. This means only Paultryck and Kim&Katya, whose ship name I don't know, and from what I've heard, Eduardo&Laurel is also canon(?), though I'm not sure if the neighbors will actually be in this much. Again, haven't planned anything! All I can say for sure is I won't kill any of the main cast, and this will revolve around the original four, namely Edd, Tom, Matt and Tord, with pre-The End designs (read as, "I like edgy Tord with darker hair"). Essentially it's their designs from Spares.Rated PG-13 to possibly M depending on where you live for gore/death and swearing-I'm not really one for gruesome details though so I try to keep the gory stuff a bit vague. You can always ask me about how bad it is before reading if you're worried it'll upset you, my inbox is always open.
