《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 575. An Ambush That Was Impossible To Defend

“Stop!” Wang Yu shouted when he saw the Berserk Heavenlaw’s players turning around to face him.
Berserk Heavenly Thunder stopped as he thought Wang Yu had something to say. He waved his hand to instruct his men not to attack first before asking, “What are you up to…”
“Bang, bang!”
Before Berserk Heavenly Thunder could finish his sentence, Wang Yu turned the two closest Magicians into white light before running away in another direction. He started shouting as he ran, “You really stop when I tell you to do so… This is so fun!”
“…” “!!!”
“F*ck!!”
“F*ck you!”
Berserk Heavenlaw’s players were at a loss for words. By the time they could regain their composure, Wang Yu had already run out of their range of attack. Within a few seconds, everyone was exasperated by Wang Yu’s shameless acts.
F*ck! Everyone had been gaming for a long time and had seen all sorts of people. Even so, they had never seen anyone as illogical as Wang Yu.
“I’m not worthy of playing this game if I don’t kill him!” Berserk Heavenly Thunder shouted at his men in a furious tone, “What are you waiting for?! Chase!”
“Kill!!!” The players from Berserk Heavenlaw expressed unprecedented energy and motivation as they followed closely behind Berserk Heavenly Thunder.
“Aiya, don’t be rash…” Wild Thunderheart wanted to stop them, but nobody cared about him anymore. Not long after, there were merely less than twenty players left behind with Wild Thunderheart. These were the players who had witnessed the abilities of the Quan Zhen Sect previously.
“Boss Wild Thunderheart, are we going to chase after them too?”
The players under Wild Thunderheart asked as they saw all their other teammates chasing after Wang Yu.
If he chose not to give chase after everyone did, he would appear gutless. However, he knew that he would simply be wasting time and energy to chase a cause with no benefits. In fact, he might even die a few times if he wasn’t careful.

Wild Thunderheart looked around before replying helplessly, “Let’s just follow them… If there is an ambush here, the few of us might not be able to protect ourselves too…”
Berserk Heavenlaw’s players were famous not for their speed because of the nature of their jobs. Wang Yu did not even need to use his Qing Gong to leave the Berserk Heavenlaw’s players far behind him.
Wang Yu was truly inexperienced because this was such an obvious trap to get the enemies to follow him. As long as one wasn’t foolish or blinded by anger, one should be able to tell… Even so, the method that Fearless taught him was viciously effective. After humiliating them, the players were all too angry to think straight. All they wanted to do was to kill Wang Yu which was why they were falling right into his trap.
Wild Thunderheart, who was behind them, did manage to notice it but it was futile. With everyone so infuriated, Wild Thunderheart no longer had any command over his men…
Two minutes later, Wang Yu brought the Berserk Heavenlaw’s players to the coordinates instructed by Fearless.
“They’re here! Everyone, get ready!” Fearless looked on the far side as he spotted Wang Yu with the group of Berserk Heavenlaw’s players behind him.
Ming Du flashed while Spring Halo turned into fog as he floated to the top of a tree. Yang Nuo jogged as she started running up a tree trunk. She grabbed a tree branch and delicately got up on the tree too.
Ling Longmeng’s method was simple. She simply raised her bow and shot an arrow at a tree branch. A black shadow was pinned onto the branch and shortly after, Ling Longmeng disappeared and reappeared at the position of the black shadow…
This was called [Shadow Control Technique] and it was Ling Longmeng’s job skill. She was capable of swapping places with her shadow clone.
The other fellas didn’t have abilities like these few players, so they could only find their respective positions to hide.
At this moment, Wang Yu had already arrived in the range of the ambush. Once Wang Yu ensured that the Berserk Heavenlaw’s players caught up to him, he went up onto the tree and disappeared out of everyone’s sight.

“F*ck! Where did he go?”
Berserk Heavenly Thunder, who lost his target, was frustrated because Wang Yu was right in front of him not too long ago. How did he disappear just like that?
“Speaking of which, you don’t think we fell into a trap right…” Out of the blue, one of the Berserk Heavenlaw’s players thought of Wild Thunderheart’s warning.
Berserk Heavenly Thunder’s expression changed drastically when he heard this as he hurriedly ordered, “Not good! Everyone, retreat!”
Fearless, who was not too far away, chuckled, “You really think we’ll let you retreat so easily…” As he said that, he released a small and pink snake. Before the Berserk Heavenlaw’s players could retreat, a pink fog surrounded and enveloped everyone in it.
[Phantom Array] (Active) – Creates a barrier with magic to trap enemy targets within a 5 level difference from the user. Cost: 40MP/second.
“This… What is this?” The Berserk Heavenlaw’s players started panicking when they suddenly lost their vision and coordinates. The fog was actually not very dense as they could faintly see things that were not too far away. However, everyone was in such a bad panic state that they were completely unable to walk out of the range of the pink fog.
“We’re doomed! This is really an ambush! Everyone, arm yourself!” Berserk Heavenly Thunder shouted his instructions as everyone stood firmly in their position. They started sizing up the surroundings and waited with a serious expression.
In fact, United Alliance’s players were too far away from where the Quan Zhen Sect’s ambush was.
United Alliance’s players were still in the state where they were anxious about any slight movement in their surroundings. Now that they spotted some movements in the forest, they couldn’t help but feel nervous.
“Boss, I think there are people in the forest…” Everyone couldn’t help but remind Hidden Lurker again. At this moment, Hidden Lurker was still sorting out his thoughts, “I thought the Quan Zhen Sect only has 10 players here? They have so many reinforcements?”
At the thought of this, Hidden Lurker said, “Everyone, do not act blindly without thinking. We don’t know if there is an ambush there, so we shouldn’t provoke any unnecessary enemies…”
Hearing Hidden Lurker’s words, Frost Blade and Darknorth Fisher teased Fearless in the chat, “Hey, Fearless! Hidden Lurker is not a fool and he is not falling for our trap.”
“Tsk!” Fearless replied with a grunt, “Archers, light a fire!”
Yang Nuo and Ling Longmeng received the orders as they aimed at United Alliance’s players. A few Magicians at the backline were instantly killed. A
“F*ck! We’re under attack!” United Alliance’s players started shouting when they saw their comrades being killed.
Hidden Lurker was dumbfounded and furious, “F*ck! This is indeed an ambush! Everyone, fight to your death!”
“Alright!!!” After being so frightened for so long, United Alliance’s players finally recognised and confirmed their targets. At that moment, they were unburdened as the entire squad charged at the Berserk Heavenlaw’s formation not too far away. Chain Lightnings were sent out generously.
Out of the three hundred United Alliance’s players, two hundred of them were Magicians. One could imagine how impactful and frightening two hundred Chain Lightnings were.
The Berserk Heavenlaw’s players were still equipping themselves when they saw people coming to surround them from outside the fog. Before they could prepare their spells, the overwhelming Chain Lightnings descended upon them…
United Alliance’s players’ lightning attacks were extremely centralised. Moreover, Berserk Heavenlaw had their Guardians protecting the crowd on the periphery of the formation and the Berserk Heavenlaw’s players were generally better equipped with stronger equipment. Therefore, even though United Alliance struck first, they only managed to kill slightly more than half of the Berserk Heavenlaw’s players.
Berserk Heavenlaw’s players were more experienced and accomplished in combats. After being attacked, they effectively reorganised themselves to form a new formation and retaliated with Chain Lightnings too.

A Spirit Vein's Guide to Immortality
TL;DR Synopsis: Man dies from falling banana, gets interrogated but answers vaguely, suffers consequences Actual synopsis: Spirit veins. Many consider them to be the pillar on which the world of cultivation is built. These things served as the foundation for the first few realms that would allow humanity to achieve its everlasting dream of immortality. However, in the present age, these pockets of condensed energy only exist to be under the foundations of massive organizations, fostering a new generation of fighters while passively radiating the energy they contain. Nevertheless, spirit veins are still an important element in the world of cultivation, albeit much less so. With that in mind, have you ever considered what it would be like for someone to turn into a spirit vein? No? Well, Arthur never thought about it either. Going through the usual reincarnation schtick (if one could consider it usual), Arthur was eventually brought into a place where a god asked him where he would like to be reborn. Unsurprisingly, Arthur told the god his ideal rebirth. However, soon enough, he would come to realize that he should have been more specific with it. Now being reborn as the smallest spirit vein, or if you could even consider him a spirit vein, Arthur wondered what he could do other than wait for time to consume him…and that’s where the system came in. With it, he would experience multiple stories of hardships, adventure, romance, and action…all underground. Unless…? Do keep in mind that English is not my first language, so I would like to apologize in advance if there are any grammatical errors, typos, miscalculations and so on. In fact, I'd highly appreciate it if you tell me those mistakes. Also, this story focuses quite a lot on the gradual progression of the MC at the beginning, but in the long run, upgrading sprees would probably be more common. Thanks for reading this small note!
