《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 606. Neighbours Who Can't Agree Lose Out To a Third Party

While the Golden Axe Metal Horse’s players were fierce in combat, the NPCs in the city were not exactly weak too. If they were indeed brainless, this bunch of well-disciplined Golden Axe Metal Horse’s players should be able to wipe them out in an instant.
Since this was the case, the Golden Axe Metal Horse suffered quite a heavy loss too. In less than ten minutes, there were only one-third of the players left and their formation had already been disrupted.
On the other hand, the NPCs were also left with slightly more than ten of them. However, these slightly more than ten NPCs were question marks NPCs, which were supposedly the stronger ones. While the Golden Axe Metal Horse had proportionately more players, they no longer had any players with control or healing jobs. Under the attacks of these NPCs, the remaining players were completely helpless without any ability to fight back.
The drop rate of the NPC was so high that the entire ground was filled with all types of tools and rare items. If they could pick them all up now, the players from the Golden Axe Metal Horse would be the victorious one.
“Split up and let’s collect all the items!”
Looking at how strong the remaining NPCs were, Vagrant Horse knew that his men could no longer take any more blows. He knew that there was no longer any point in continuing the fight, so he instructed them to split up. One group would continue defending the attacks while the other group would pick up the items on the ground.
After all, their motive was never to advance to the next level but solely to pick up items. If they chose not to pick up all these rare items before dying, wouldn’t they be wasting their efforts?
At this moment, Fearless, who was observing from afar, saw through Vagrant Horse’s intention to pick up the items and return to the city. Following up on that, he immediately ordered on the guild chat, “Everyone, move!”
“Yes, sir!”
After receiving the command, Vainglory shouted and was the first to charge out.
“Aiya, those fellas actually dare to come out to take advantage of us! One group shall head back to defend us and take them down!” Spotting the commotion behind, Vagrant Horse noticed the Quan Zhen Sect’s motive. Despite this, Vagrant Horse did not regard these ten people highly.

He truly believed that a skinny camel was still bigger than a horse. Even though Golden Axe Metal Horse was only left with one-third of their players, they still had over one hundred of them. In Vagrant Horse’s eyes, the ten Quan Zhen Sect’s players were not worthy of using their entire force to deal with. Even if there were NPCs attacking on the other side, the people he sent to deal with Quan Zhen Sect should be able to handle it without pressure.
Golden Axe Metal Horse’s squad of Guardians saw their order as they quickly turned with their shields raised. Vainglory was covered with dazzling radiance as he kicked his way into the scene.
“Shadows Chain Kick!!” Vainglory shouted with an explosive voice as his leg landed on one of the Guardian’s shield.
[Shadows Chain Kick] was a high-level skill for Pugilist and it was one of the skills with the highest damage output for a Fighter. At this current stage, Vainglory’s [Shadows Chain Kick] was not in any way inferior to Wang Yu and Ming Du.
Vainglory’s kick landed on the frontmost Guardian and the Guardian was instantly turned into white light. Even the few Guardians beside him were affected by the [Shadows Chain Kick]’s tremendous power. They were shocked to the extent that they were forced to take two steps back. At that moment, the players from Golden Axe Metal Horse were so frightened that their goosebumps started to appear.
While [Shadows Chain Kick] was that impressive, the exhaustion of mana was shocking too. In just one kick, Vainglory’s mana points decreased sharply by half. Vainglory, who had no follow up skills, naturally dared not stay in the encirclement of that many Guardians. All he did was to use [Crushing Blow] and stepped on the shoulders of the people by the side to escape.
“Tsk! Trying to run right after acting so tough?” Just as the Golden Axe Metal Horse’s players wanted to chase after Vainglory to kill him, two more Warriors charged out of the pink fog. Two of them wielded a large sword each as they lowered their heads to charge right into the crowd of Guardians that Vainglory was trying to escape from.

These two men were Boson and Crotch Lord. Crotch Lord’s shield was badly damaged from before, so he could only use his double-handed sword.
After charging into the encirclement, Crotch Lord pointed his middle finger as he used [Taunt]. The players and NPC around the area were naturally attracted to that area. All of a sudden, a [Distortion Enchantment] rose from the ground to root everyone around Crotch Lord and co. to the spot. At the same time, the ground was heating up as a sea of fire was sent towards them. Boson wielded his two-handed swords and stepped on the flames as he executed a [Tornado Slash] towards the cluster of people.
“Woosh!”
After just one round, half of Golden Axe Metal Horse’s remaining players were dead. This included a portion of high damage jobs and all the tank jobs. Some of the NPCs on the other side were also killed by the flames and Tornado Slash.
“F*ck!! How many people do they have on the other side?” Looking at how his men were killed within seconds, Vagrant Horse was dumbfounded as he shouted, “Kill the few of them now…”
Before Vagrant Horse could complete his sentence, a thick arrow pierced through the pink fog as it flew accurately into Vagrant Horse’s mouth.
Vagrant Horse was an Archer with low health, so the thick arrow was enough to pierce through his head and turned him into white light.
Before the rest of them could regain their composure, Frost Blade and Darknorth Fisher appeared from the sides to kill the rest of the low-health players without the protection of their Guardians.
Vainglory jumped back into the scene together with Crotch Lord and Boson to attack the remaining of the Golden Axe Metal Horse’s players.
Golden Axe Metal Horse was only left with the low-health players who were not suited for close combat. Moreover, the death of Vagrant Horse meant the loss of their leader and fighting morale. Additionally, two more Archers popped out from the mysterious pink fog and that control skill that appeared every now and then. Even with the superior numbers, they were definitely not a match for the Quan Zhen Sect.
In less than thirty seconds, the players from Golden Axe Metal Horse were completely massacred. The moment the players from Golden Axe Metal Horse died, the NPC’s aggro was immediately shifted to the Quan Zhen Sect.
Spring Halo summoned his six black armoured demons in front of everyone to block the incoming attacks of the NPCs.
To deal with these brainless fellas, the Quan Zhen Sect who were nurturing their strength and biding their time were evidently more effective than the remaining disorganised Golden Axe Metal Horse players. With Spring Halo’s perfect control of the situation, Fearless’ flawless instructions and everyone’s maximum output, the remaining NPC were destroyed into pieces without too much effort. They dropped a ground full of rare items.
“F*ck! We’re rich! Let’s go and lure one more wave of monsters!” After killing the monsters, Ming Du was almost tearing when he saw the number and quality of dropped items.
“Eh? Something seems odd…” Fearless looked at the items on the ground as he said, “The items on the ground are not only dropped by those monsters we killed. Even items that were picked up by Golden Axe Metal Horse seem to be dropped too.”
“So what? Isn’t this better for us?” Ming Du cried out excitedly. He was never pleased with the fact that the Golden Axe Metal Horse’s players managed to pick up the items that were supposed to be theirs. Now that they were all dropped out, his heart felt much better than before.
“Better your head! If the dead players drop out items, there must be something fishy here. Why do you think the drop rate of this broken dungeon is so high?” Fearless scolded Ming Du.
“What do you mean?” After Fearless said this, the others were just as confused as Ming Du.
Fearless pulled out the guild chat as he asked, “Old Bull, how are things over at your side? Is the BOSS going to die?”
After a long while, everyone’s expression changed when they didn’t receive Wang Yu’s reply.

Orc Lord
A young woman just starting out in life is killed tragically in a car accident. However, she soon regains consciousness as a baby in a fantasy world. But... she's an Orc?! It would be good if she could just enjoy her new life quietly, but she seems destined for war and carnage. How will she fare as a monster in a fantasy world? ________________ This story will have a total of three arcs: Arc 1, The Birth of Babylon: 571 pages (complete) Arc 2, The Baphomet War: 420 pages (complete) Arc 3, The Mad Queen of Carnage: (in progress) ________________ Ultimately, I'm writing this for enjoyment. If you enjoy it too, fantastic! Gore: Extremely infrequent, but moderately intense. Profanity: There are a few swear words here and there, as well as some more creative insults. Traumatizing Content: While I'm at it, there are some questionable morals displayed (mostly after chapter 77). So far we can check off slavery, brainwashing, war, and genocide. This story starts off very Light Novel-ish because I was reading a lot of them at the time. The writing style gradually matures as it goes. Sorry, but I don't have the stamina to go back and fix everything, even if I know it gets pretty roughshod at times. New readers, please keep in mind, I make use of "unreliable narrators" at times. My story accepts donations, but it is free to read and I've only uploaded it here. Lastly, Orc Lord is a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying ending. One of my long breaks triggered a dishonor, but I'll redeem it someday when it's actually finished. I'm the ultimate necromancer author. ;P
