At this moment when Sanguine Red and Sanguine Rain unleashed their attacks, Sanguine Thorn and Sanguine Wolf had already made the first move, stabbing into the lower back of Yang Nuo.
Yang Nuo seemed to have the feeling that the two were going to ambush her so she managed to avoid the path of the arrow by flashing aside. As she dodged another two daggers, she threw her left hand into the sky, releasing a packet of limestone powder. The powder enveloped the sky into a vast expanse of whiteness.
The limestone powder covered Yang Nuo’s silhouette, causing Sanguine Rain and Sanguine Red to lose their target. The two were now unable to continue their sneak attack as they were covered by a layer of white powder.
Yang Nuo looked back to glance at the two. She kicked out towards Sanguine Wolf’s waist, causing him to bend from the collision. Yang Nuo leaped in the air by stepping on Sanguine Wolf’s back. However, Sanguine Wolf suddenly recovered from the initial collision and Yang Nuo had to take this opportunity to jump to another house.
Sanguine Rain and Sanguine Red caught sight of Yang Nuo and wanted to continue their attack. Yang Nuo dashed forward and rolled, moving quickly to an adjacent house. The two once again lost their target.
“Keep chasing! Don’t let her run!”
Sanguine Rain saw that Yang Nuo was escaping so he decisively ordered the pursuit. Sanguine Wolf and Sanguine Thorn leap towards the wall, skillfully scaling the roof on a nearby house.
Xiao Xiang Sword was also alerted to the situation and ran to the other side of the street.
Ten people were chasing two targets, crossing several streets in succession and eventually converged in their search.
“What are you doing?” Destruction Of Heaven And Earth questioned when he saw Sanguine Wolf and the others approaching.
“Block the woman in front!” Sanguine Red bellowed as he ran. At this juncture, Yang Nuo already arrived in front of Spring Halo.

Destruction Of Heaven And Earth said shamefully, “If even you guys cannot catch up, how do you expect us to do so?”
Magicians and Knights had low mobility and were far less adept at traversing distances compared to Archers and Assassins.
“Then what are you doing here? Aren’t you here to help?” Sanguine Wolf asked.
Destruction Of Heaven And Earth pointed towards Spring Halo, saying, “We’re chasing the Shaman… Eh, run a little slower.”
Sanguine Wolf and Sanguine Thorn turned their heads as they were running and uttered, “Any slower…”
“Boom…” Even before Sanguine Wolf could complete his sentence, he smashed into Spring Halo’s Dark Barrier.
Destruction Of Heaven And Earth did a facepalm and quirked, “Didn’t I already told you to slow down…”
Sanguine Rain and Sanguine Red both caught up, releasing two arrows towards the mid-back of Spring Halo.
At this instance, six demons appeared out of nowhere and stood behind Spring Halo.
The two arrows were shot with precision towards the demon.
Sanguine Rain and Sanguine Red were not experts only for show, as they released two arrows in quick succession at the head the three demons. Taking advantage of the confusion, Spring Halo once again regained some distance from his pursuers.
This street was the one that held the casino. Its alleyways were extremely narrow. The range of Spring Halo abilities was extremely far-reaching and she could easily cover half the street. Thus, even Assassins or Archers needed to be careful when clashing with Spring Halo.
However, these crowd control skills were immensely mana intensive for Spring Halo and he had to stop releasing his skills after a while.
“He has no more mana! Keep chasing!” Seeing that Spring Halo has drained his mana, Sanguine Rain immediately rushed towards him.
Spring Halo hurriedly scurried towards a nearby shop seeing that he was about to enter the effective range of Sanguine Rain’s abilities.
“F*ck, you are looking for death by actually trying to hide in the shop!” Everyone could not help but sneer as they saw Spring Halo getting into the shop.

Void Blade’s main purpose was to scare the members of the Quan Zhen Sect and prevent them from leaving the safe zone. Spring Halo would be doing exactly what they wanted him to do.
Furthermore, for jobs like the Shaman, there were a lot of enemies. Moreover, its damage output from a PK was relatively insignificant. As soon as Spring Halo revealed his location, any one of his pursuers were able to stop him from escaping.
In the next moment, Spring Halo stood at the front of the shop and shouted with a lecherous look on his face, “Hey handsome, wanna come in and play…?”
“…” Sanguine Rain and the others were speechless. As they glanced at the signage of the shop, they realised that the shop was a Grocery Store.
At this realisation, Sanguine Rain’s face darkened and he exclaimed, “This is not good! We are getting ambushed!”
“Ambush?” The others did not get the immensity of Sanguine’s Rain warning as two people walked out of the Grocery Store. They were a Priest and an Archer respectively.
Sanguine Red and the others were slightly startled and were planning to retreat. Two mighty looking warriors were walking in their direction, blocking the retreat path.
Two figures appeared in front of the road ahead. They turned out to be Frost Blade and Darknorth Fisher.
Sanguine Rain surveyed her surroundings and smiled towards Fearless and said, “Hahaha, you have schemed hard to lead me into this position, you are indeed a formidable opponent.”
“Oh, this is nothing at all,” Fearless chuckled. “Scheming against the bunch of you is way too easy.”
“…” Sanguine Rain was humiliated by Fearless’s remarks and coldly replied, “I admit that you are extremely exceptional in strategy, but you cannot possibly think you can take my group out just like this.”
The two sides had clashed heads previously and had an understanding of each other’s battle strength. Quan Zhen Sect’s players were all clearly weaker than Void Blade’s players.
Although Yang Nuo definitely wasn’t weaker than the experts from Void Blade, she was lacking in experience. These individuals had gone through countless PK fights. Yet, this disparity in experience was not enough to unsettle Yang Nuo.
This was especially so for the Fearless, by the nature of his profession as a Priest, his skills were not adept at PVP.
For experts of this calibre, they would be able to kill their enemies within seconds.
It was indeed laughable that the Quan Zhen Sect was surrounding a group of experts even though they were the weaker side with three fewer members.
Fearless could stop laughing and said, “If it was really just seven members, we definitely would not have the confidence to be so haughty.”
Sanguine Rain gave a slight smile. “Eh? Do you happen to have reinforcements?”
Void Blade had scouted Quan Zhen Sect extensively and found out that they practically did not have any allies, except from the Sanguine Alliance because of their bad reputation. Since the Sanguine Alliance had lost a bunch of experts, they did not have the capacity to provide aid to the Quan Zhen Sect.
“Of course there are going to be reinforcements!” Fearless exclaimed. A figure fell towards the ground and landed in front of Void Blade members.
Seeing this familiar figure, all the people were clearly excited. Fist of Heaven and Sanguine Red were both aghast and Sanguine Rain looked towards Wang Yu, clearly confused at the situation and asked, “This is your reinforcement?”
Not waiting for Fearless to reply, Wang Yu grinned and said, “That’s right, I am the reinforcement!”

Cinder Roots (Undergoing a Rewrite)
This novel is currently undergoing a major rewrite, as I noticed several plot points that needed to be revamped. I'll leave the chapters I've posted here to anyone curious to see how everything started, but I'll be posting the rewritten story as a new novel in the future. The characters will be the same, but the journey will be more understandable and hopefully, a lot more fun to read. -------- First, everything was fire, it killed, it consumed, and it gave him life. He was just a tree, born in the biggest forest that remained in the world, full of dryads, naiads, elves and treants, but he was alone. He couldn’t see. He couldn’t talk. Curiosity plagued him. He dreamed of wandering the land, but could only wonder what stood outside the reach of his roots. The tree was tired of waiting. He decided to not just dream, but to act. How could he survive against a invading empire, a grand conspiracy that threatened to shake the foundations of the world, and the raw danger that lies within these woods? With pure determination. Warning - There are quite a few POV changes in the first chapters, but that'll change after the introduction is done, as I'll be focusing on the MC perspective only.
