《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 722. Player That Spends Lifespan

An elite BOSS’s fighting methods were extremely lively. The main difference would be the impromptu use of skill under different circumstances. However, the cooldown time of each skill would not change.
Initially, everyone had gotten a grasp of the cooldown period and time of Clover Reaper’s skills. They coordinated well to fight him systematically. However, Clover Reaper’s sudden jump disrupted the Quan Zhen Sect’s rhythm.
The main reason why everyone could keep Clover Reaper above ground was because of Ming Du’s [Ice Mirror]. Therefore, Ming Du’s position was irreplaceable. The BOSS still had about 25% of his health so if Ming Du died, it might be problematic for the entire team.
Seeing that the vine was about to capture Ming Du, Ming Du’s left hand formed a weird posture. The staff on his right hand pointed at Wang Yu and the next moment, Wang Yu appeared where Ming Du was previously standing.
“Hehe!” Wang Yu chuckled as he used both arms to pull the BOSS in front of him again. At the same time, his right leg executed [Thunder God’s Stomp] upwards as he struck it right under Clover Reaper’s chin.
“Boom!”
Following the flash of lightning, the pollen on Clover Reaper’s head flew out because of Wang Yu’s kick. His entire body was sent flying upwards again.
Everyone jumped forward as they surrounded him again. They finished Clover Reaper off cleanly as the health bar was fully depleted.
Because Clover Reaper’s [Earth Elemental Technique] was too shameless, everyone started hitting the corpse of Clover Reaper in the air like a volleyball even though the health bar was already fully depleted. They wanted to make sure he was really dead.
When Peak Of Perfection saw how the Quan Zhen Sect was playing around with the BOSS’s corpse, he couldn’t help but be irked in his heart. How sadistic must these players be…
After playing for about a minute, they threw Clover Reaper to the ground after seeing that there were no longer any reactions from him.

After seeing that Clover Reaper landed but did not enter the ground, everyone heaved a sigh of relief. They were incredibly excited… especially Darknorth Fisher and Frost Blade, who were grinning from ear to ear.
One must know that Clover Reaper was an Assassin BOSS so the items he dropped were most likely to be useful for Assassins. If he dropped an [Earth Elemental Technique], they would be invincible.
One against a thousand… Just the thought of it makes them excited…
“Who wants to touch the BOSS?” Fearless asked the crowd. For such an impressive BOSS, they had to choose one with better luck.
“Let me do it, let me do it!”
Frost Blade and Ming Du were eager to give it a try. To be honest, these two were the luckier ones in the Quan Zhen Sect if their characters were not taken into account.
Frost Blade gave Ming Du the glare as he said, “Why are you competing with me to touch an Assassin BOSS? Move to one side…”
“F*ck, given your luck, you will probably get the BOSS’s underwear!” Ming Du was not willing to be outdone.
Just when the two of them were bickering, Peak Of Perfection stood out and said, “I think my luck is pretty decent, can I try?”
“Oh…” When they heard Peak Of Perfection’s words, Frost Blade and Ming Du looked sluggish as they no longer tried to argue with one another.
As a brilliant strategist, Peak Of Perfection was not only about the IQ. To be able to possess so many great items had to be because of good fortune too. He was probably the type of person who could get a dragon’s egg from a chicken’s nest.
Seeing that Peak Of Perfection wanted to try his luck, the two of them were obviously not going to fight him for that.
“Don’t worry, I only want the item in the final treasure chest. I will not snatch these items from you.” Seeing how quiet the Quan Zhen Sect went, Peak Of Perfection explained.

“F*ck! Do you really think you can snatch the victory goods from us with your ability? How shameless must you be?” Yang Nuo commented.
Everyone looked at Peak Of Perfection before looking at Fearless again as they nodded. “True…”
Fearless, Peak Of Perfection “…”
Peak Of Perfection’s luck was really not just for show. He reached out to the corpse as the first thing he retrieved was a black dagger.
This dagger was extremely odd as it was made of wood and incredibly light.
Dance Of The Wooden Lead (Dagger) (Gold)
Attack: 110-180
Magical attack: 20-60
+40 Agility
+35 Strength
Wooden Leaf Root: Passive skill, 30% of attack will have a poison effect.
Wooden Leaf Dance: Passive skill, speed of attack increase by 30%.
Descending of the Wooden Leaf: Active skill, possible to use double jump
Job requirement: Assassins.
Level requirement: 55
Item description: Made from the godly wood of Herb Garden. Light and agile.
The attributes of this dagger were average but the poisonous effect was a rare sight. The double jump skill was also a decent skill.
However, this was not something Frost Blade and Darknorth Fisher fancied. After all, their own weapons were much better than this dagger.
“Rubbish, let’s sell it for gold…” Frost Blade said after seeing the dagger.
“How much? I’ll buy it!” Peak Of Perfection asked, “Is 500 gold enough?”
“Enough, enough!” Everyone didn’t expect Peak Of Perfection to be interested in such a dagger. Even though a gold weapon was a rare item, 500 gold was considered the market price so he wasn’t trying to take advantage of anybody. After all, the dungeon was opened up by Peak Of Perfection so even if he took some advantage, they wouldn’t mind at all.
After Peak Of Perfection kept the dagger, he continued to touch the BOSS. This time, it was a skill book.
[Vine Attack]: Rare skill: Summon a vine to attack target. Activating it one more time can allow you to teleport to the back of the target. Job requirement: Assassin.
This skill was the vine skill used by Clover Reaper earlier… Even though the teleportation was pretty impressive, the vine was too obvious and this was a flaw. However, it was still a useful skill and it looked pretty cool.
“Roll? The two of you.” Fearless looked at the skill book before saying to Frost Blade and Darknorth Fisher.
Frost Blade smiled as he rolled a 100…
“F*ck! Such luck!” Darknorth Fisher sighed as he chose to give it up…
As he saw that there was still one more chance, Darknorth Fisher clasped his hands together and prayed, “Spirits of heaven and earth, I am willing to exchange ten years of my life for an [Earth Elemental Technique]!”
Spring Halo laughed as he mocked, “Haha what a joke! Why would a mere Gold BOSS drop a godly skill like [Earth Elemental Technique]?”
[Earth Elemental Technique] and Spring Halo’s [Call of the Abyss] were the same as they were considered the one and only legendary skill. Such skills could only be obtained from doing a quest. The probability of a God-grade BOSS dropping this was less than one out of a thousand, let alone a Gold BOSS.
Darknorth Fisher said, “No sh*t! I’m only saying this because I know it won’t drop that…”
Just when Darknorth Fisher said that, Peak Of Perfection shouted in a high pitch voice, “F*ck! It’s a God-grade skill!” After saying that, Darknorth Fisher sent a skill book into the chat.
Looking at the orange-yellow skill book, everyone’s jaw dropped. Ming Du patted Darknorth Fisher’s shoulder and said, “Old Fish, you’re really capable. People spend money playing online games but you spend your lifespan!!!”

Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.
