《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 929. Don't Annoy Me

“Could it be because of the Soul of the Gods?” Wang Yu asked in surprise.
“I am unsure of the details.” Little Bookworm said, “However, in the background story the library recorded, that NPC was a normal Knight guard but for some reason, he became the Holy Knight of the Church of Dawn. I guess he had evolved into a new realm.”
“F*ck. Is this your guess?”
Wang Yu was tongue-tied by Little Bookworm’s reason. Completing a quest was a serious matter, how could he use guessing.
Little Bookworm laughed proudly and said, “Hehe, you don’t know this but in our line of work, we rely on imagination.”
“Fine… I’ll look for clues on my own.” Wang Yu was speechless towards him.
Damn, he could say what he wanted but a BOSS could not be killed wrongfully. Quests required logical reasoning and strict affirmation before acting.
If Little Bookworm made a conjecture based on how the leader of Knights evolved, Wang Yu would take it but he guessed it based on how that guy rose the ranks. Hence, this was all rubbish.
It was not for anyone to trigger a BOSS without evidence.
“You don’t trust me? I am one of the top ten writers on the planning board!” Little Bookworm was upset with how Wang Yu belittled him.
Wang Yu said, “I trust you… By the way, where is the library?”
Little Bookworm, “…”
Although the Peak of Hope was also known as the Pillar of Hope, it was not high up as it would be impractical for the landmark in the centre of the city to be too big.
Wang Yu and Little Bookworm walked as they chatted and very quickly, they reached the foot of the hill.
By then, a group of people had clogged up the foot of the hill as every player had to be checked before passing through.
“This is also a culture of the City of Hope?” Looking at how players passing by looked so accustomed to the check, Wang Yu asked out of curiosity.

“There was no one here in the past…”
Little Bookworm puzzledly scanned the crowd then tugged Wang Yu’s sleeves and said, “They should be here for you!”
As he spoke, Little Bookworm pointed at the players’ chest.
Wang Yu looked in the direction Little Bookworm’s finger pointed towards. Those players’ chest which also had a wolf symbol and the dude Wang Yu pushed down the cliff just now was also amongst them as though he was looking for something.
“F*ck, for just one gold coin, is it worth it?” Wang Yu was helpless in this situation as everything was just for one gold coin. He did not think that these guys were so prideful that they did not find it troublesome to block the road for just one gold coin.
Little Bookworm rattled, “What do you mean by one gold coin? You hurt their pride. Mad Wolf Guild has been extorting money there for so long. Not only did you not pay up, you even threw their man down the hill. How could they let you off? Let’s not go downhill anymore. I think you better return.”
“No way, I have not completed my quest.” Wang Yu shook his head.
“But now the road is blocked. What are you going to do?”
Wang Yu calmly said, “I’ll just kill them all.” His tone was no different from saying he was killing chickens.
“…”
Little Bookworm heard him then looked at the players blocking the road then looked at Wang Yu again. He swallowed his saliva then distanced himself from Wang Yu and sent him a private message, “Don’t you ever say you know me… I still want to stay alive.”
Damn, in face of almost twenty players of different jobs, a solo Pugilist dared to say to kill them all? He must be insane.
However, just when Little Bookworm was in shock, Wang Yu began to approach them.
When Little Bookworm regained his awareness, Wang Yu was already before Mad Wolf Guild’s players.

“F*ck, he is crazy!”
Seeing how Wang Yu was risking his life, Little Bookworm yelled quietly and instantly hid away to watch.
“It is him, Leader Blabber Wolf, it is him!”
Just then, the lad who was pushed down the hill by Wang Yu saw him and shouted while pointing at him.
At the same time, all the Mad Wolf Guild players who were there quickly surrounded Wang Yu, fearing he would escape.
“It was you who hit my Mad Wolf Guild brothers on the hill?” The guy who was in the lead and who was also burlier than Wang Yu tilted his chin up while asking upsetly.
That big guy’s equipment was pretty good. Other than the silver weapon armour high-level players had, his other equipment were mostly gold ones.
This was the typical dressing of an expert. To have all these equipment, his abilities had to be pretty good.
Wang Yu looked at the big guy and said calmly, “It’s me.”
“Good, attack!” It seemed like this big guy only asked for the sake of asking. Without asking for the reason, he waved the big sword in his hand and slashed it towards Wang Yu’s neck.
The rest also took action and began attacking Wang Yu.
Seeing the system notification, Wang Yu smiled and turned his body to escape Blabber Wolf’s attack while taking a step forward, moving beside Blabber Wolf. Just then, Wang Yu stretched both arms forward and grabbed Blabber Wolf’s belt and shoulder.
Soon after, Wang Yu twisted his legs and lifted Blabber Wolf before turning around towards the right. Mad Wolf Guild’s players’ attacks landed on Blabber Wolf one after another.
It was either that Blabber Wolf had great defence or that Mad Wolf Guild’s players were useless as after a round of attacks, Blabber Wolf was still alive. Wang Yu casually threw Blabber Wolf forward, crashing a hole in the ground then he leaped up into the air and followed behind Blabber Wolf, encircling him.
Before Blabber Wolf who was thrown on the ground stood up, Wang Yu descended from the sky and stepped Blabber Wolf into a ray of white light.
“F*ck!!”
Blabber Wolf’s subordinates knew how his attributes were like. As a management expert of Mad Wolf Guild, he was highly admired by ordinary players.
However, a player of such standards could not withstand even two rounds before dying. What was going on?
Everyone looked at Wang Yu in shock, not knowing if they should take revenge for Blabber Wolf, causing the situation to be extremely awkward.
“Aiya, this guy killed someone!”
Seeing how Wang Yu killed someone and that person seemed to be of quite a high level, Little Bookworm let out a long sigh.
Large guilds mostly cared more for the important players. If he killed a normal player, they would at most kill him a few to vent their anger but if he killed their elite player, he would be in deep trouble in the City of Hope.
At this thought, Little Bookworm could not help but look at Wang Yu with sympathy.
After killing Blabber Wolf, Wang Yu did not attack the rest. Instead, he stood there and said justly, “I don’t want to cause trouble. Are you guys done? Stop following me!” Wang Yu spoke from the bottom of his heart as after all, this little guild was under Peerless Heaven.
Wang Yu was a prideful person. When his wife was caught, he did not seek Evil Rampage’s help so for such a small thing, he did not want to ask Evil Rampage to settle it for him.
Since he did not want to look for Evil Rampage, he had to act for himself. If Wang Yu did not think before acting and killed the entire Mad Wolf, it would be awkward when Evil Rampage came forward to settle things…

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
