《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1227. Fighting The Pagoda

Wang Yu was like an immortal who had been through tribulation. After getting struck down by the lightning bolt from the heavens, he finally gained some preliminary understanding of the attacks of the magical pagoda.
After getting back up, Wang Yu executed his Qing Gong to enter one of the houses without hesitation and at the fastest possible speed.
“F*ck…”
Looking at the mirages left behind by Wang Yu’s run, the players on the pagoda gasped. Was he a Pugilist or an Assassin?
After Wang Yu suffered that blow from the pagoda, the rest of the Quan Zhen Sect gathered back together. Everyone stared at each other in the eyes, looking dazed.
Their advisor was dead from the very first attack from the enemy and their main force, Wang Yu, had been struck into great despair by the enemy’s three lightning bolts.
At this moment, everyone from the Quan Zhen Sect stared at the cannon on that tall pagoda with fear in their eyes.
Seeing that nobody said anything, Wang Yu opened up and said, “So what do we do now?”
Fearless was not around so Spring Halo took up his position. He scratched his chin to answer Wang Yu’s question, “Looking at the situation and how we’re leading in terms of points, I suggest we hide here until the end of the round.”
“Brother Spring is right!” everyone agreed.
The magic cannons could instant kill any one of them here so nobody was willing to charge out.
Only Vainglory actually bothered to look around as he commented fearfully, “Even though Spring Dog’s suggestion sounds reasonable, do you think staying here is actually safe?”
“Hmm…”
After Vainglory said something like that to scare them, everyone gave him the deadly glares. “Why don’t we beat this kid up first?”
“F*ck!” Vainglory quickly hid behind Wang Yu and complained, “Uncle Bull, look at them!”
“Alright! Stop fooling around.” Wang Yu waved his hands and said, “Since no lightning bolts have descended from that pagoda so far, it seems like this house is pretty safe. Everyone hide for now and let’s see what happens.”

Vainglory commented sheepishly, “Not like that cannon can only fire lightning bolts, right?”
“F*ck…”
Everyone revealed their vicious glares at Vainglory again as he quickly went into hiding.
“Sii…”
At this moment, a weird sound could be heard.
“Damn it! Who farted?!”
Spring Halo pinched his nose as he looked at Vainglory.
When everyone saw that, they pointed at Vainglory and shouted, “Little Chicky, why are you farting in a game?!”
“I will kill all of you!”
After being bullied on multiple occasions, Vainglory stood up and was about to beat them up. However, his eyes suddenly froze as he pointed at the back of everyone, “Be… Behind…”
“???”
Everyone turned around hurriedly as a layer of green poisonous fog started spreading towards everyone.
In this competition squad, Yang Nuo was the only lady and in order to not mix around with these b*stards, she stood right at the back of everyone.
By the time everyone could react, the poisonous fog had already reached Yang Nuo.
Yang Nuo couldn’t get out of the fog and within three seconds, she was enveloped and turned into white light.
“F*ck!”
Everyone ran towards the neighbouring house to hide after seeing that.
In about ten seconds, the fog filled up the entire house that they were previously in. Not long later, it seeped through the door and spread towards them again.
At this moment, everyone finally realised that these were not houses. Instead, they were poisonous gas defense zones used in a defense strategy.
At the thought of this, everyone couldn’t help but curse, “F*ck! How shameless must they be to choose a map like this?”
Besides these poisonous gas zones, everywhere else in this map was an open space in which the cannons from the pagoda could strike.
This meant to say that there was a 99% chance of winning this round as long as the team managed to snatch the Magician Pagoda first.
After experiencing the despicable strategies of the Dark Moon Squad, the fellas from the Quan Zhen Sect sighed as they finally found their equal in terms of the level of despicableness.

The bunch of fellas from the Quan Zhen Sect were never the type to sit and wait for their death. They were not willing to resign to a fate like that.
Under such a circumstance, this bunch of savages were even more fired up than before. They thought of the words mentioned by Fearless before he died as they looked at the fort in the middle of the map.
Spring Halo pondered for a moment before saying, “If we want to win, we have to fly up to the fort.”
Crotch Lord replied, “We all know that but even if there is no one on top, none of us can get through that barrier.”
Wang Yu paced up and down before saying, “Guys, think about it. That bunch of b*stards from the Dark Moon Squad cannot even fly so how did they jump up there? Could there be some sort of specific jumping platform somewhere?”
“This…”
Everyone fell silent when they heard this.
Earlier on, everyone merely focused on escaping and forgot about this part. In the end, some newbie had to remind them. How embarrassing.
Spring Halo immediately commanded, “Frost Blade, Old Fish, go and look around the fort to see if there is anything like that.”
“En!”
Frost Blade and Darknorth Fisher went into [Stealth] mode the moment they received the order.
The map wasn’t big and standing in the space below the fort allowed one to see the entire periphery.
The two of them walked one round around the fort and indeed, they saw a blue magic array by the side.
The magic array was only as big as a pot and each time, only one person could step on it. If they hadn’t paid close attention to it, they really wouldn’t have been able to spot it.
After seeing the magic array, Frost Blade stepped on it out of curiosity.
“Whoosh!”
Frost Blade heard the sound of wind and was instantly propelled towards the small house on the fort.
At the same time, Dark Moon Soul, who had been defending the entrance, started raising his shield when he saw Frost Blade flying towards them.
Once Frost Blade reached the entrance, Dark Moon Soul’s shield swung downwards.
“Boom!”
Frost Blade was struck back down by Dark Moon Soul’s shield like a baseball.
“Dong…”
Under the stun effect, players falling from a great height would suffer double the damage. As Frost Blade was struck down from above, he was turned into white light when he landed.
“F*ck!”
When everyone saw Frost Blade dead, they finally understood why Dark Moon Soul was guarding the entrance.
At this moment, Dark Moon Soul started mocking them from above, “Haha! You bunch of cowards! Come on up and let daddy teach you a lesson!”
One had to admit that Dark Moon Soul was a Tank with incredible awareness. From the very beginning, this fella had been provoking everyone with his mouth.
Just when Dark Moon Soul was blabbering away, a pair of eye symbol appeared above the fort again. At that time, Darknorth Fisher was exposed to everyone.
“Boom!”
A lightning bolt was sent towards Darknorth Fisher as he ducked and dodged the attack. Very quickly, he flew back down.
“Damn it!”
This time, everyone really did see how powerful the fort truly was.
Not only was its attack capable of instant kill, but it also had the ability to expose players in [Stealth] mode. Moreover, the fort was a small target and a group of people defending it was more than enough to secure it.
As that lightning bolt turned Darknorth Fisher into a groundhog, Dark Moon Soul started shouting again, “Hahaha! The poisonous fog has started to spread and you guys have nowhere to run. Quickly surrender and daddy will end your misery.”
