《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1376. Excited Sanguine Warflag

Without the Maritime Route, Saga City was just a remote place and its existence did not make any difference to Black Dragon Guild. Black Dragon Guild had already conquered five out of the six cities that belonged to Immortal Island. They were essentially known as the owners of Immortal Island.
Lava Teeth’s sole purpose in Saga City was to fill up the empty seat of being the City Lord as well as to keep an eye on Karl who had the City Lord Seal. To describe his job in nastier terms, he was merely a warden.
Now that Saga City’s authority fell into Sanguine Warflag’s hands, Lava Teeth no longer had reasons to stay here.
The average ability of Sanguine Alliance players was way higher than Black Dragon Guild players and Sanguine Alliance had a comparable number of players as what Black Dragon Guild had in Saga City. If they were to really cross swords, Lava Teeth knew that they wouldn’t be a match.
This was especially after Lava Teeth vent his anger on Sanguine Warflag earlier, their rivalry had already started and Lava Teeth should run for his life before he was slaughtered.
It was good enough for Lava Teeth to get to keep his job after failing to safe keep a city, so why would he bring all his men to die for nothing? If this was found out by the headquarters, Lava Teeth would never be able to repay his sins.
Since his boss ordered him to get out of the city, Lava Teeth did so without a second thought.
…
Twilight City, within the teleportation formation.
After a flash of light, Wang Yu brought Sanguine Warflag and his men back to Twilight City.
“Okay, that’s all, right?” Wang Yu asked.
“Yes, thank you for your help this time, God Bull! I will thank you again in person after I settle this matter.” Sanguine Warflag thanked Wang Yu excitedly and brought his men out of the teleportation formation.

“You are not thinking of seeking revenge right?” Wang Yu asked.
“I am!” Sanguine Warflag answered.
Even though Sanguine Warflag always behaved like a coward in front of Quan Zhen Sect, he was not someone who would bow down to anyone. After all, he was the leader of such a reputable guild.
Sanguine Warflag was not someone with a great temper, and he would definitely not tolerate getting humiliated for no reason at the safe zone.
Sanguine Warflag was still in the heat of the moment, and the only thing on his mind was to bring all his men to Saga City and let the Japanese know who the real boss was.
“Oh, go ahead then!”
Although Wang Yu felt that Sanguine Alliance might suffer a little, he did not want to dash Sanguine Warflag’s hopes so swiftly.
After seeing them off, Wang Yu was about to meet with the rest of Quan Zhen Sect when Fearless’s voice was heard, “Tsk, tsk, tsk! I’m afraid his situation won’t be good this time!”
Wang Yu looked over and saw Fearless and the rest standing somewhere near the teleportation formation, looking full of empathy.
“You think so too?” Wang Yu walked over and asked.
“Of course!” Fearless said with confidence, “Black Dragon Guild is not to be trifled with! There were at least one hundred thousand players in Yamatai City and Saga City whereas Sanguine Alliance only has thirty thousand men in total… How can they win?”
“This…” Wang Yu nodded his head in agreement.
Fearless was right, large scale wars were different from small scale wars. If the total number of people involved exceeds a thousand, it should not be called a fight.
The more important factors in such wars were war strategies and formation.
Sanguine Alliance’s players were indeed strong individually, but Black Dragon Guild had the advantage in numbers against Sanguine Alliance this time. Hence, they might not be able to withstand an attack of such scale.

After all, all the players were normal humans and not professional soldiers. For large scale wars like this, the party with more players will win.
“This is not the worst part yet!”
Fearless continued saying while Wang Yu was still feeling sorry for Sanguine Alliance, “The main thing is that they won’t have a retreat route!”
“What do you mean by that?” Wang Yu asked.
Fearless replied, “Immortal Island is not under our country’s control. Once Sanguine Alliance goes there, they have to come back via sea. Do you think that they have a ship?”
“This…” Wang Yu hesitated.
Twilight City was not surrounded by ocean, hence it was hard for Twilight City players to have their own ship… If Sanguine Alliance went over with the teleportation formation, it would be hard for them to return to Twilight City.
That being said, Sanguine Alliance would have to fight all the way against the Black Dragon Guild until only one winner emerged.
Black Dragon Guild was an aboriginal inhabitant there and had more than a hundred thousand players in Yamatai and Saga City. Additionally, they had even more reinforcements from the other four other cities that they own.
Sanguine Alliance would be isolated without any help over there and the only thing they could do was to fight to their death.
In the game, players could resurrect after they died.
Even if Sanguine Alliance could defend Black Dragon Guild’s first wave of attack, could they continue defending their subsequent waves of attacks?
In addition to that, Sanguine Alliance was not familiar with the land and did not even have relief troops. They could only fight till they drop because they did not even have a route to retreat.
It would just be a matter of time before they were all killed by the Black Dragon Guild.
Saga City will be breached no matter what.
“F*ck! Why didn’t you say that earlier when they are still here!” Wang Yu expanded his friend list and said, “I will send Sanguine Warflag a message now to stop him.”
“There is no use for that!” Fearless stopped Wang Yu and continued, “Do you really think that you can stop him? He wouldn’t believe us now and it will not be a good move if we went to help him now either.”
“So how long should we wait for?” Wang Yu was confused.
“Hehe!” Fearless said with a smile, “Wait till they realise that they are doomed for!”
“F*ck…”
Wang Yu was speechless.
Tsk, tsk, tsk, Fearless was really good at manipulating others.
There was an idiom which states that the onlooker sees more of the game, and the person involved will be overly confident with his actions. Even if Wang Yu explained the reasonings to Sanguine Warflag, he would not listen.
Not only would he not listen, he would still feel that Wang Yu was butting in too much into someone else’s business.
However, if Quan Zhen Sect offered their help when Sanguine Warflag finally realised that he was in deep trouble, it will magnify Quan Zhen Sect’s importance and will make Sanguine Warflag even more loyal to Quan Zhen Sect.
It was always a better move to provide help in someone’s hour of need than to do it when they are not yet in need of help.
Spring Halo asked Fearless, “From what you have said, I assume that you have a way to help them?”
“Of course!” Fearless smiled and said with confidence, “When I gave the seal to them, I have already expected this to happen. Since they are cut off from their retreat route, we have to solve the problem from its roots. If we help them, we will gain not only the victory but something more.”

He leaned closer, before I could respond, and ran his teeth along my jaw.I suppressed a moan. "I wouldn't be cross if you weren't so keen on irritating me." I said, unable to hide the smile in my voice.I felt his answering smile against my neck. "How can I make it up to you?" He whispered, planting gentle kisses up and down the column of my throat. Phantom Storm
"Have you heard, the entire Bonanno crew was brutally murdered!" Exclaimed a youth in his early teens. "What? you're lying, again!" Another similarly aged child responded with crisp denial in his tone. After all, the crew was infamous for their ruthlessness. An eery silence passed between them. Soon enough, the teens' curiosity trumped his ego, and he found himself inquiring in a meek voice. "So...Who did it?" "I heard my father talking about it while he was drunk. Guess what he said?..." The child responded, he was a natural-born storyteller. Listening intently, the other teen urged him on. "It was done by a single person. When the police arrived, the bodies were charred black, likely the work of an electro mage. Most had an arrow or two lodged in their body, and a few were even chopped into neat little slices by a sharp blade." He paused, inhaling sharply. "All the victims had shocked expressions on their faces. As if the enemy was invisible or something. That's why they call that person the Phantom Storm!" concluded the adolescent with an excited glint in his eyes. 2 CHAPTERS PER WEEK (Canada time) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] -------------------------------------------- Follow Itsuki as he is reincarnated in an unfamiliar world, left to discover where he belongs in such a place.
