《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1461. Let Quan Zhen Sect Chase After You

Initially, Captain Don’t Open Fire was still feeling obscure over the idea of going up against Quan Zhen Sect. However, after realising that this group of players in front of him were one of the top-ranked global experts in the game, all of his doubts and insecurities instantly vanished. A strange sense of self-confidence surged within his heart.
It’s fine if others don’t believe in you. What’s important is that you believe in yourself.
If the presence of these global-ranked experts wasn’t enough to give him such confidence, then there was something wrong with him.
After coming to know about the identity of the other party, Captain Don’t Open Fire’s attitude towards them instantly switched 180 degrees. He immediately welcomed them warmly and said, “So it’s the renowned Sacred Hall Squad! Please, please take a seat and make yourselves comfortable…”
Rockabye and the rest sized up Sanguine Rain’s bunch for a while, before proceeding to take their seats.
After everyone was settled down, Captain Don’t Open Fire and Meng Xi initiated the conversation at the same time and asked simultaneously, “Say it, how much do you want!”
“???”
After uttering these words, both parties looked at each other in suspicion.
From the looks of it, both parties were heads that did not lack money…
At this moment, Big Bear Deng Deng An hurriedly went forward and said, “Boss, Boss Meng Xi is willing to work with us on a condition, not for money.”
“Not for money?” Captain Don’t Open Fire frowned and said, “That makes things difficult…”
Meng Xi frowned at the same time, revealing the same expression as that of Captain Don’t Open Fire.
See? In the eyes of the rich, if problems could be solved with money, they weren’t considered problems at all.
“Lady Meng Xi, what is the reason why you are willing to cooperate with our Void Blade?” Captain Don’t Open Fire asked sincerely.
Meng Xi coolly replied, “To find a person!”
“Find a person…” Captain Don’t Open Fire began to hesitate upon hearing this.
The universe in the game was extremely vast. Not only could players teleport to and fro between cities, they could also log off anytime they wanted. Finding a player in the game was similar to finding a needle in a haystack.
When Big Bear saw Captain Don’t Open Fire’s expression, he hurriedly added, “The person she’s looking for is Frost Blade, that brat swindled her money.”

“Oh…” Upon hearing this, Captain Don’t Open Fire came to a realisation, “So that’s the case, the person Lady Meng Xi is looking for is Frost Blade.”
“That’s right!” Meng Xi nodded her head before asking, “And you?”
“Me?”
“That’s right! Since you guys aren’t in it for the money, what is the purpose of cooperating with us?” Meng Xi asked once more.
“This…” Captain Don’t Open Fire pondered over the question for a while, before answering, “We want Twilight City!”
“Twilight City? What has that got to do with us?” Meng Xi raised her brows and asked.
Meng Xi wasn’t someone that liked trouble. If it wasn’t because she was finding someone, she probably would never offend Quan Zhen Sect. With regards to something like taking over Twilight City, she naturally did not want to partake in it.
“Eh…” Captain Don’t Open Fire was thrown off by Meng Xi’s question and was speechless for a moment.
One party wanted to find a person whereas the other wanted a whole city. The considerations in this transaction weren’t even equal to begin with. How were they going to cooperate with each other?
“You can’t put it that way.” Big Bear interrupted and said, “Frost Blade is someone from Quan Zhen Sect. The City Lord is also someone from Quan Zhen Sect. Thus, we both have a common enemy.”
“I know, but I want to avoid as much trouble as possible!” Meng Xi directly stated her stance.
In order to find a person, she had to change the City Lord of Twilight City? This was clearly a disadvantageous deal for her.
“What if we gave you money?” Captain Don’t Open Fire suggested weakly.
Meng Xi glanced at the bunch from Sacred Hall Squad beside her, before looking at Captain Don’t Open Fire in disdain and said, “Do we look like people that needed money?”
“…”
That’s true. She was someone that could get the renowned Sacred Hall Squad to do her bidding. Obviously, she wasn’t someone that lacked money.
Meng Xi was a relatively haughty individual. Seeing that Captain Don’t Open Fire thought of using money to buy her over, she felt extremely dissatisfied in her heart. She added unpleasantly, “Seems like the both of us don’t have much to talk about. We’ll take our leave first!”

As she was speaking, Meng Xi stood up from her seat and walked towards the door.
“Lady Meng Xi, wait!”
At this moment, a voice called out to Meng Xi.
Upon hearing this, Meng Xi halted her steps. She slowly turned around, only to see an Archer walking to the side of Captain Don’t Open Fire.
Upon seeing that archer stepping forward, Captain Don’t Open Fire uttered in confusion, “Boss Sanguine Rain, you…”
Sanguine Rain waved his hand towards Captain Don’t Open Fire, signalling for him to stop speaking. Following which, he went forward to Meng Xi and introduced himself, “Greetings Lady Meng Xi, I’m Sanguine Rain, the Squad Leader of the Void Blade Squad.”
“An expert!”
Without waiting for Meng Xi to reply, Jeff sent out a reminder in their party chat.
Rockabye added, “Not bad! I’ve heard of this Archer before. He’s a national standard top-tier professional expert. His strength isn’t any weaker than Derek.”
“Boss… did you have to be so direct?” The Orc Archer standing behind Rockabye revealed a gloomy expression.
Upon hearing Rockabye and the other’s valuation of Sanguine Rain, Meng Xi’s attitude towards him changed slightly. After sizing Sanguine Rain up for a brief moment, she said, “Squad Leader Sanguine Rain, may I know what’s the matter?”
“This…” Sanguine Rain scratched the back of his head and said, “Initially, I thought that this was a matter between the two heads and that I didn’t have the qualifications to interrupt. However, in my opinion, I think that the both of us might be able to work something out.”
“Oh? Speak!” Meng Xi gave an interested look towards Sanguine Rain and said, “As long as you can convince me, we’ll cooperate with you.”
“I believed that all of you have already met with Quan Zhen Sect?” Sanguine Rain smiled and asked.
“That’s right!” Meng Xi nodded her head and said, “We’ve exchanged moves with each other.”
“How did it feel?” Sanguine Rain asked once more.
“That bunch of losers… trashy and cowardly!” Meng Xi gritted her teeth and uttered. Clearly, even though Sacred Hall Squad had won the fight, it wasn’t a pleasant victory.
“Ke ke!” Sanguine Rain cheekily smiled and said, “We have been living in the same city as Quan Zhen Sect for awhile now. Thus, we have been into some conflicts with them before. We are extremely familiar with the style of these people.”
“Style? Fleeing if they are unable to win?” Meng Xi revealed a look of contempt. She was still feeling disgusted after having been played by Fearless’ trio.
“You can say that as well.” Sanguine Rain added, “The strengths of this group of people are only average at best. However, they are extremely sinister and despicable. If you guys were able to leave them running for their lives in a frontal confrontation, if they whole-heartedly wanted to avoid you, you probably wouldn’t be able to get your hands on them in this life.”
“Hmm…”
Upon hearing this, Meng Xi nodded her head in acknowledgement towards Sanguine Rain’s words.
Previously, in that scenario where they were outnumbered and cornered, Meng Xi had let the three individuals escape from their grasp. Clearly, this group of players might not be capable in fights, but they were extremely adept at running.
“Therefore,” Sanguine Rain quickly added, “chasing after them isn’t a practical thing to do.”
“According to what you’ve said, what should we do then?” Meng Xi asked curiously.
“Hehe!” Sanguine Rain smiled and said, “Let them chase after you instead.”
“Chase after me?” Meng Xi revealed a blank expression and said, “Why would they have the courage to do so?”
Sanguine Rain waved his hand and explained, “Don’t underestimate these guys. They can hold a grudge very well. The reason why they do not dare to chase after you currently is because their hate for you isn’t deep enough. Once you’ve completely pissed them off, you wouldn’t be able to shake them off at all.”
“Really?” Meng Xi said in surprise, “Seems like you have an idea. Share it with me!”
“Cha…”
Upon seeing the expression on Meng Xi’s face, it was needless to say what Captain Don’t Open Fire and the rest were feeling right now.
In China, everyone wanted to avoid stepping on dog sh*t with their own shoes. Thus, they would stay as far away as possible from a group like Quan Zhen Sect. It was an eye-opener for everyone when they saw the excited expression on this lady’s face when she heard that she could make Quan Zhen Sect chase after her.
Difference, this was the difference between both parties.
