《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1475. National Professional League

Marrying and romance weren’t the same. Being well-matched was important. Wang Yu understood this best.
Why didn’t Wang Yu’s family approve of his relationship with Mu Zi Xian? This was the exact reason.
It was true that Frost Blade was only doing small business. However, he came from a regular family too. When he was young, he dated freely. If he really chose to spend the rest of his days with Meng Xi, it wouldn’t be the same.
The differences in their life values would reveal themselves after marriage.
This was not something any wealthy girl could tolerate, compared to Wang Yu, who was willing to invest blood, sweat and tears into his work.
Furthermore, men and women were fundamentally different. Even if Meng Xi could be like Wang Yu, her family might not agree.
Rather than go through harsh rejection, he chose to disappear at once. At least he could retain some pride for himself.
Quan Zhen Sect members had lots of life experience and were practical people. Once they heard Frost Blade’s words, other than the childish Vainglory, they instantly understood Frost Blade’s concerns.
Frost Blade had been putting his life on the line to earn money over the years. The only thing he wanted to achieve was to become someone suitable for Meng Xi. However, it was just a thought. With his current position, there was no way he could do it in this lifetime.
“Rest in peace, Frost… we can’t help you.” Fearless patted Frost Blade’s shoulder to express his sympathy before he turned to Meng Xi. “You’ve met him. When are you going to give us the ten million?”
Meng Xi pulled out two bags, “If you let him leave with me, I’ll pay you another ten million.”
“Sorry! I can sell the man, but not his values!” Fearless waved his hands, “Let him go. We don’t need that ten million!”

“You!!” Meng Xi pointed at Fearless angrily, “What do you know?!”
With that, Meng Xi pointed at Frost Blade, “Are you going to leave with me or not?”
“Haha!” Frost Blade replied awkwardly, “Actually, my brothers and I are having a good time here.”
“But they can’t help you!” Meng Xi replied.
“Tsk, can you help him then?” Fearless raised his brow.
This wealthy girl didn’t know her limits. Did she really think she could do anything she wanted?
“That… can I say something?”
All of a sudden, Rockabye raised his hand and asked shamelessly.
“Just shoot!” Fearless replied without hesitation.
“Uh…” Rockabye’s old face turned dark. “There are three months before the National Professional League. You should know about this, right?”
“Of course! This isn’t our first day here.” Fearless said.
“I need to tell you one more thing. This time, our XXX Group is a partner of the National Professional League’s Soaring Dragon Gaming Studio!”
“So what? Are you showing off that you’re rich?”
God of Death’s Left Hand was most sensitive to matters like these. Seeing Rockabye talk about this, he blurted this at once.
“No, no!” Rockabye waved his hands. “Lady Meng Xi just wants to bring this brother with us to join Sacred Hall Squad!”
“Oh? What’s the meaning of that?” Wang Yu asked as he tilted his head.
“My father said this!” Meng Xi looked at Frost Blade, “As long as you achieve good results in the upcoming Professional League, he’ll give you a chance! He understands your abilities. Our group in Europe lacks a manager now.”
“!!!!!!”
When Meng Xi said this, everyone in Quan Zhen Sect was stunned.
Damn, what did this mean? Was there a relationship between doing business and playing a game? Finding a professional player to be a manager sounded ridiculous.

Fearless thought for a moment before he asked Frost Blade, “What did you study?”
“Business Administration…” Frost Blade’s face turned red.
“Hm, I see…” The others nodded in unison.
So Frost Blade was a talented scholar, someone who studied well. No wonder his businesses went well. However, he chose to use his abilities to scam people in-game. That was amazing in its own right.
It seemed like Meng Xi’s father said this because of Meng Xi. That was why he decided to give Frost Blade a chance.
As for the Professional League, it was probably just an excuse. Since Frost Blade was good, doing this would make his child happy and give him an excuse. On top of that, he’d find a qualified employee. That would kill three birds with one stone. He was truly a sly fox.
“All you have to do is do well. Why does he have to join the Sacred Hall Squad? We have one too!” Ming Du asked curiously.
Rockabye responded in shock, “You call that a squad? You can only achieve good results if you’re in our squad!”
“Is that so?” Wang Yu rubbed his chin as he asked dryly.
“Uh… no…”
When he heard Wang Yu’s words, Rockabye waved his hands nervously. “I meant that only the strongest teams can enter the National Professional League. There are only a few teams that can qualify from China.”
Clearly, Rockabye meant this, “So what if you’re the only strong one? > wasn’t an individual game. You won’t make it.”
“Hahaha!” When they heard this, Quan Zhen Sect laughed aloud.
“What? Am I wrong?” Rockabye felt goosebumps as they mocked him.
“You’re absolutely right!” Wang Yu nodded. “Fortunately for us, our Quan Zhen Sect qualified this time!”
“You?” Rockabye responded in disbelief, “Were you A Murder Of Crows that defeated Kyushu Squad?”
“That’s right!” Wang Yu showed off his title of squad leader of A Murder Of Crows.
“That…” Rockabye was speechless.
Meng Xi was in disbelief as well. “I can’t believe you managed to do that.”
“All in a day’s work!” Wang Yu replied casually.
“Quit acting big!” Meng Xi was upset when she saw his attitude. “The National Professional League isn’t as simple as you think.”
“Oh?” Wang Yu pointed at Rockabye and said, “Then, can he enter the National Professional League?”
“Of course!” Meng Xi replied proudly, “He’s one of our core members in Sacred Hall Squad!”
“Oh!” Hearing this, Wang Yu rubbed his chin. “It seems like the National Professional League is a lot simpler than I thought.”
Meng Xi, “…”
“F*ck!”
Rockabye and the others were filled with tears.
Damn, he wasn’t even going to give them face.
“Alright.” With that, Wang Yu added, “You’ve delivered the message. Go back now! This isn’t related to you. We’ll send Frost to you later.”
“No!” Meng Xi said, “You’re a shameless bunch. I don’t trust you. I’ll stay with him.”

No destiny, no choice, no hope. Our protagonist, a coward summoned to a world meant for heroes; a new world with new rules and old cruelties. Join him on his adventures as he must deal with menus, monsters, and mysteries in this litrpg fantasy. Thomas Goodwill was an average boy with an average life, all that changed when he woke up in a new reality. Now, out of his depth, damn near out of his mind, he must learn to survive in a game-like reality with no reloads, checkpoints, or save scumming. He does, however, have a drunk snake. Thank you for reading my first story, hopefully, the first of many to come. This will be my main story and is meant to help me practice and hone my skills as I slowly produce more complex ideas. It's a litrpg in which I want to only lightly focus on the mechanics as I don’t want to pad out the word count with math and number tables and while I want to add a few of my own twists here and there, overall I’m going to keep this story close to generic as possible so that I don't let my inexperience lead me into a corner. Thanks again to all willing to leave a review or some constructive criticism, without you I'd never improve. Unfortunately, Cover art is by me.
