《MMORPG: Martial Gamer》Chapter 1487. Manipulated

“Rewards?”
Captain Don’t Open Fire smiled. After all, these guilds worked purely for rewards.
On the other hand, Captain Don’t Open Fire couldn’t offer anything other than monetary rewards.
“As long as you take down Quan Zhen Sect, I will reward you accordingly. Money isn’t an issue. Once I become the City Lord, I’ll even hand over Twilight City’s jurisdiction to you.”
“This…”
When they heard Captain Don’t Open Fire’s words, everyone broke out into a smile.
There wasn’t a single person here who worked for free. No matter where they were, money and power was the most important topic.
Captain Don’t Open Fire clearly understood this. First, he promised money; then authority. That meant giving them two tools for control.
No matter which you preferred, Captain Don’t Open Fire could offer them to you.
These enticing conditions bypassed all their worries.
A reward like that was sufficient for them to even turn against the city guards. Therefore, they wouldn’t hesitate to attack Quan Zhen Sect at all.
One had to say this; offending a wealthy guy was much more terrifying than a top-tier expert.
Fearless pushed Captain Don’t Open Fire to the extreme. He used his money to hire players and hold the guild leaders back.
No matter how strong his opponents were, he only had one tactic. That was to throw money at them. He didn’t believe that money couldn’t resolve all issues.
At the same time, somewhere in Middle Street, all the players who received Big Bear Deng Deng An’s message turned their attention from Sanguine Alliance to Quan Zhen Sect.
For a moment, nobody could find a single member from the Sanguine Alliance. Quan Zhen Sect’s members stood atop the roof. That was a walkway for gold mines.
With that, everyone on Middle Street reached a consensus; attack Quan Zhen Sect.

As a result, tens of thousands of spell casts and arrows were simultaneously released.
…
Even though there were many players from Void Blade, there was a limit in the map space. Middle Street was completely filled up but there were only tens of thousands of players.
These people belonged to different guilds and capitals. Technically, they were like scattered sand.
On top of the roof, Sanguine Alliance’s players moved under the lead of Quan Zhen Sect. They moved purposefully and in an organized manner. On top of that, they had the best positioning on this map. According to the original plan, they had no problems suppressing the Middle Street’s players from their position.
However, the players below moved strangely. All of a sudden, they simultaneously launched their attacks toward one spot.
Sanguine Alliance’s players were caught off-guard.
Since they were outnumbered by the thousands, even their superior positioning couldn’t save them against the sheer numbers of the enemies.
Quan Zhen Sect specialised in escape. Seeing that the situation turned, they retreated at once.
Unfortunately, the attacks eliminated the Sanguine Alliance’s players.
“Boom!!!”
After a terrifying attack, a big hole opened up where the Sanguine Alliance stood.
On the other hand, everyone from Quan Zhen Sect was still well and alive as they stood atop the roof. Staring at the players in confusion, they asked in shock, “Wow, what just happened, Fearless? Is there an expert amongst them?”
One had to understand that even a professional leader would struggle to coordinate tens of thousands of people. How could a nerd from the game do something like that?
Clearly, someone led these players to launch an attack.
“How the h*ll would I know?” Fearless was confused too. “We’ll escape at the 9 o’clock direction. It’s a visual blind spot. I’m sure they won’t launch an attack there.”

With that, everyone in Quan Zhen Sect escaped in the direction that Fearless directed them to.
“Eh?”
Seeing that everyone from Quan Zhen Sect was still alive, the players were shocked. “Sh*t, they’re as strong as the legends say. I can’t believe they avoided an attack like that.”
Amidst their shock, everyone targeted Quan Zhen Sect again. Soon after, another colossal wave of attacks showered from the skies.
“Motherf*cker!” Seeing their attacks change again, Quan Zhen Sect members shouted, “Crotch Lord, shield!”
Hearing this, Crotch Lord reacted at once and lifted his shield while Fearless cast an immunity skill on him.
“Boom boom boom boom!”
After a series of terrifying explosions, Crotch Lord blocked all the attacks himself.
Ming Du panicked, “Damn it! Fearless, they’ve seen through your plans!”
“Impossible!” Fearless reaffirmed, “How can someone see through my plans? Retreat to Trading Street!”
With those orders, Quan Zhen Sect shuffled back and headed in a different direction.
Trading Street was the road in front of the City Lord’s Residence. There was only one house between it and Middle Street. Both resided in the Central District.
Void Blade’s players filled the Central District. There wasn’t a single place to step foot. Players filled streets and alleys.
The moment Quan Zhen Sect members revealed themselves, a series of attacks locked onto them again.
A torrential rain of attacks landed on Quan Zhen Sect again.
This time, Quan Zhen Sect was completely stunned. One had to understand that this wasn’t the first day they knew Fearless. They understood his capabilities very well.
They traversed the game for a long time; each time, Fearless always manipulated others. There was no room for their enemies to take a single step away from his plans.
However, it seemed like their enemy knew exactly what Fearless was thinking. Every time they made a move, they pinpointed the safest place Fearless chose.
Everyone stared at Fearless suspiciously, “Fearless, are you up for this? How are they reading all our moves?”
“Bullsh*t!” Fearless was irritated too. He continued, “Something’s wrong. I just can’t think of what it is right now!”
All of a sudden, Wang Yu spoke up after mulling over it. “I think this is it! They aren’t predicting our moves.”
“Then, how are they launching their attacks to wherever we are?” Everyone asked in confusion.
“Because they’re targeting us! They’re targeting us,” Wang Yu thought about it for a moment before he said this.
“They’re targeting us?”
When they heard Wang Yu’s words, everyone froze. However, when they thought about the players’ targets, it seemed to be the case.
If they were targeting Sanguine Alliance’s players, their attack range would be huge. However, their attack radius was extremely small each time. It landed squarely on Quan Zhen Sect.
As they thought about this, Quan Zhen Sect couldn’t help but rage, “Why us? Aren’t they targeting the Sanguine Alliance?”
Ever since Quan Zhen Sect came to Twilight City, they controlled the city and lived comfortably in Twilight City for far too long. It seemed like they were under the illusion that nobody in Twilight City would dare to attack the Quan Zhen Sect.
However, even Fearless couldn’t react to this move from Void Blade in time.
