The Infinity Islands

I was just supposed to be a normal guy! I was about to graduate from my normal university with my normal English degree, about to begin my first foray out into the real world. But somehow, I had ended up worlds away instead. Far, far away from home, in a world that should have been just like mine, running and fighting for my life in a war I didn't understand. None of us knew why or how we were there or what we were ultimately supposed to accomplish. But that didn't really matter, did it? In my new world, there was only one rule: survive! --- Hey all, I'm Ken, and this is my first time sharing a story online. This story is heavily inspired by Terror Infinity, if it wasn't obvious from the title. I've been interested in making a Terror Infinity story for a while now, but I have a lot of problems with its system and mechanics, so I decided to just make my own system instead of trying to adapt to that one. If you find any mistakes, typos, or awkward phrasing please let me know in the comments so I can fix it! Dungeons and Sewers

In the world of x'cel, where the gods have lost interest in the affairs of the mortals to the point where the gods have been forgotten, dungeons have been exterminated with prejudice, where even knowledge about them has been lost among the populace except to the elite of the elite. A world where attaining moderate power and skills takes a lifetime, and powerful artifacts have become extremely rare and national treasures as nobody can create them anymore due to lack of power and skills.A world-renowned mage spends his free time digging around ancient ruins of places of power. He keeps his interesting finds safe at his well-guarded tower in the capital for safe studying there. As our adventure begins the mage is away, following an old trail that might lead to an undiscovered place of power. A certain group has commissioned a person of high skill but ill repute to obtain the treasures gathered by the mage. This is where the adventure begins.

Falling

It is often unclear when a thing comes to an end, the world itself no exception. In the event of the world ending, it was both abrupt and unnoticed, something down right confusing to most involved. Due to this confusion, we will quickly cover the short window of events that led to the destruction of the generally known universe, following the primary instigators to hopefully give the whole thing a little much needed context. ... Author’s Note: I intend to release regularly, hopefully weakly, within the planned three arcs. However, it may go on hiatus between arcs, but it should be clear that an arc has ended. Regardless, I currently plan to go on hiatus after the third arc, which is intended to be a natural breaking point. This is with the hope of not dropping off in the middle of narrative, and I am mentioning it now so no one is surprised if there are planned pauses. Content Warnings: I do not plan to include anything I would see as profanity, gore or traumatizing content. However, I do expect my bar for what qualifies is both above some people’s and below others. Therefore, I am including the Content Warnings so people are not surprised when my view is different. If you find something you do not like, I wish you luck in moving on without it farther concerning you. If I was not as extreme as you were hoping, I apologize for not meeting expectations. I have not marked sexual content, since I do not intend to include explicit sexual acts. However, sex and sexuality still exists and may come up as both an offscreen event or subject.
