Madam Flores was immediately left speechless at Mister Loki's question. She really didn't expect that it would actually be this hard to give away Doombringer to Mister Loki for free.
If it was other people, they would have long definitely accepted Doombringer without any questions. After all, given the current situation right now with only both parties present inside the room and with a Magic array to hide their identity installed, there is no need for them to worry about anyone knowing about this transaction as long as no one speaks of this to any other parties.
Moreover, if the information is ever leaked by anyone from either party, Mister Loki's group could also just openly return Doombringer to the Elves Secret organization in order to avoid causing themselves any trouble. At that time, their only loss of it would be losing the chance of using such a powerful Magic weapon for themselves.
Seriously, with all of these conditions, there's absolutely no doubt that the majority of the people would accept Doombringer.
That's why Madam Flores was having trouble right now. She really doesn't know how to reply to Mister Loki's question. They have only met today, so she obviously cannot talk about any past experiences while working together. Saying her usual line of 'In the name of the Elves Secret organization' is also totally out of the question since that's only effective in front of a lot of witnesses. And if she decides to talk about her personal reputation, that she is a trustworthy person, she'd most likely end up receiving a mocking laugh from them. Not openly, of course.
In Madam Flores' years of experience being the President of branches of the Elves Secret organization in the Emerald Tree Kingdom, she has only experienced a similar helpless situation like today for a few times. And even those situations weren't as helpless as this one as she could at least make a way out for her in those situations, unlike this one where she completely can't make any sort of excuses or whatsoever to make a way out of the situation.
Noticing Madam Flores' troubled expression on her face, Leo finally understood that the situation right now should be not her decision or her own choice at all. It seems like she was forced to do this or something similar.
"Let me guess, it's a command from someone above?" Leo was able to easily guess what was causing her trouble.

"Yeah..." Madam Flores could only reply awkwardly. In her current situation right now, hiding the truth would just cause her even more problems. Her goal was to sell Doombringer no matter what, that's why she thought that if telling the truth could sell it, then she'd willingly do so. Anyways, there wasn't really anything worth hiding from anyone since the only information that was told to her from the very beginning to the end was the single phrase, "Sell Doombringer no matter what!"
Heaving a sigh of helplessness, Madam Flores said, "I will not be hiding the truth from you. It's like this, the Headquarters of the Elves Secret organization told me to sell Doombringer to someone no matter what. That's why I'm stuck in this situation where I'm forced to use any method to sell Doombringer."
"But why choose me?" Leo curiously asked. Amongst all the people that joined the auction, why did Madam Flores choose him? It's not like there's a String of Fate connecting the two of them for her to choose him. The only explanation he could think of was that this is nothing but a mere coincidence.
"Oh, I didn't choose you," Madam Flores shook her head. She waved her hand and took out 3 dices. Two were six-sided dices with the number 1 to 6 written on it, while the third has the letter A to F instead of having numbers. She continued, "I rolled a dice and your room number was chosen,"
"This..." Leo was immediately dumbfounded hearing this reason. So the reason why he was facing a troublesome situation right now was mainly because of a roll of a dice? Just how ridiculous was his luck? Or is he perhaps a trouble-magnet?
Suddenly, at the side, Leo heard Angel chuckling quietly. Although the sound was quiet, it soon attracted the attention of everyone inside the room. After all, this was just a small room, that's why no matter how quiet one's voice was, the people inside would still be able to hear the sound of it.
Noticing that everyone was now looking at her, Angel quickly stopped chuckling as she explained, "Oh, I am sorry, it's just that, I can't help suddenly remembering my Master after hearing Madam Flores' reason for choosing us to give the Doombringer to. You see, whenever she faces some kind of problem that requires her to choose something, she'd sometimes use dices to decide for her, saying that she's leaving it to fate to decide. Of course, that's only the case when she doesn't know what to decide,"

Madam Flores smiled as she found it intriguing to find someone with a similar habit as her. While on the other hand, the others found the coincidence a bit funny.
However, unlike them, after hearing Angel's reply, Leo suddenly thought of something as he quickly activated his capability to see the String of Fate.
This time, though, he didn't merely look at the String of Fate connected between him and Madam Flores, but rather at the String of Fate connected between Angel and Madam Flores. And to his surprised, he soon found that a green-colored String of Fate was actually connected between the two of them.
Seeing this, he quickly understood that this simply means that although Madam Flores doesn't have any String of Fate connected to him, there Fate still has some chances to intertwined with each other since she has a String of Fate connected to Angel, who has a String of Fate connected to him.
He really didn't expect it to be like this because up until today, he had only put importance on the String of Fate that is directly connected to him, not on the String of Fate that is indirectly connected to him. In fact, he didn't even know that this could actually also affect him.
It's only today that he realized the importance of the Fate of the other people that has a String of Fate connected to him.
With this information, he quickly understood that aside from paying attention to his Fate alone, he actually also needs to pay attention to the Fate of the other people around him, because whatever is connected to them, since they are now connected to him, could also potentially connect to him as well.
This could also mean that whatever kind of danger or luck that is Fated for them, would also indirectly affect him in one way or another. Just like what they have experienced today. Since Madam Flores is connected to Angel, that's why the dices she has rolled had landed on their room number.
This wasn't a mere coincidence that Madam Flores had to choose them to have Doombringer, but rather the work of the God of Fate once again.
He doesn't really know what's the reason for this, but since this is the case, then he has no choice but to accept the situation.
But to confirm his assumptions though, Leo suddenly asked, "Is there by any chance that you know of a woman with the name of Silva Sylvani?"
"There's a lot of people with a similar name, so please give me more details about this person," Madam Flores replied.
"Silva Sylvani, or also known as Madam Silva. She's a 5th Galaxy Mage that works for the Sword and Magic organization. I don't really know a lot of information about her aside from that she works directly under the President of the Sword and Magic organization, President Vladimir," Leo quickly explained. That's the only information he knows about Madam Silva, as she didn't tell him more about herself.
Hearing Mister Loki's words, Madam Flores' face quickly showed a surprised expression before she said, "You actually know that old witch?!"
"My Master isn't a witch!" Angel quickly defended her Masters' name.
Madam Flores can't help turning her head to look at Angel by the side as she soon began observing her from head to toe. Despite Angel wearing a Magic Mantle to cover her appearance, she was still able to see what's behind the hood with her cultivation. She suddenly smiled and said, "I didn't expect that it's actually you, the disciple that my friend Silva is really proud of, Angel Leucadia!"
"You... you know me?" Angel said in surprise.
"Of course, Silva always talks a lot about you whenever we meet. In fact, I am so tired and feed up of always hearing her saying that she has found the best disciple in her entire life," Madam Flores replied with a bit of irritation in the tone of her voice. In the next moment, though, her eyes suddenly lit up as she delightfully said, "This is great! Since you know Silva, then there's no problem on accepting this Doombringer!"
Leo instantly backed off after hearing Madam Flores' words, nearly causing himself to fall off from his chair. Just like what he had expected, this is so familiar to him, the smell of this trouble has the same scent as those he had smelled from the God of Fate.

Bastard's Wrath
The Wyvern reared its humongous head, serpent neck coiling back, onyx scales of opulence shimmering in the dimness of the cloud smothered sky. It spoke, eye's ashen, like the surface of a star, "What is it you desire, boy?" The word's rolled from it's pointed maw, tongue flicking, it's deep and ferocious voice sending the ground below rumbling. Damien looked up, hair sodden with rain, his face battered beyond recognition, his lips curled into a snarl. He had gone past the point of being frightened; he was tired of his weakness. He spoke, voice wavering, mist floating from his mouth in the coldness: "I want them dead. I want everyone who stabbed me in the back; dead." The Wyvern smiled, rows of teeth exposed, "Then sacrifice it. Sacrifice your humanity." - The story of a bastard within a crippled family, who beyond all odds becomes known as the Greatest Swordsman to live: the one that, even the Gods, would someday fear.

The Valion Chronicles - The Emergence
An action-adventure story about the struggles of a group of refugees from the war torn world of Valin fleeing the vindictive fury of a scientist turned military madman bent on intergalactic domination. The crew of the Safe Haven finds their way to Earth to discover that not only are there humans there but a variety of other alien species cohabitating on Earth which had become a central trading hub in the time they'd been in contact with a collective known as the Transgalactic Federation of Planets. The story is meant to be my take as a westerner on the concept of a Japanese Shonen Anime written with inspirations from the likes of Power Rangers and Kamen Rider but also meant to be my own spin on the conventions and tropes of the genre with a bit more of a large-scale world and a very open ended universe with lots of room to develop things outside the world of the main cast.
