《Supreme Grandpa 》Chapter 73: The Interview

In the office area of the company, there were men and women, and they were relatively young.
Many people lined up instinctively.
Everyone's expressions were full of excitement and anxiety.
Before coming here, they were basically looking for a job that could allow them to stay in front of the computer every day, but after seeing Yang Song, their minds changed, and they all made up their minds to perform well.
The Yang Family in Tong City was the number one family.
Especially the Yang Family's old patriarch who had been very popular recently. Great Energy Pill was said to be on the market soon, and countless people were looking forward to it.
At that time, they could buy some through this relationship.
In addition, if Elder Yang ran a literary website, then, first of all, Huang Shi, Zhou Tong, and others would join in. With these people backing them, their future would be very bright.
Currently, they were standing neatly, waiting for Yang Song to interview one by one.
Yang Song was standing in front of them but he never said a word so far. Instead, his eyes swept over everyone from time to time.
"Elder Yang, what are you doing? Do I have a problem with my clothes today?"
"Is it because I'm so beautiful that Elder Yang has taken a fancy to me? That's not good, if Elder Yang really makes unreasonable demands, what should I do?!"
"Elder Yang has vision, he must be attracted by my handsomeness!"
Such thoughts continued to appear in the hearts of these young people.
Some bold girls even stared at Yang Song directly, and then deliberately blinked!
When Zhang Qinqin, who standing near that, saw this scene, her brows were slightly frowned, "Dad has been very weird since he recovered. The interview he did for Yang Haonan's company before was not in this way. What's with this situation now? Since his body has recovered, some aspects must have been strengthened too… So, has he fallen for a certain young grass, but he's too embarrassed to talk?"
Seeing that Yang Song had no plans to speak yet, she had to get close and reminded in a low voice, "Dad, the interview has begun! Don't you really have something to say to these young people?"

Hearing this, Yang Song paused his step slight before he waved his hand, "No, I've already finished the interview!"
In fact, from the time these young people entered the door, he had used the Eyes of Insight to observe their talents. Just when Zhang Qinqin reminded him, he had just finished watching them all.
But Zhang Qinqin didn't know this.
"Huh? You have already interviewed them all?"
She looked dumbfounded.
At this time, things were even more daunting. The more than 80 interviewees looked at each with big eyes and small eyes from time to time. They didn't know what was going on. This routine was not quite right; they had never encountered this kind of interview before.
Did the interview complete without saying a word?
This was too fast!
"Elder… Elder Yang, did you make a mistake? I haven't introduced myself yet!"
Li Bao stood up with a serious expression. Because he was too nervous, he almost forgot Yang Song's name. For him, this was an opportunity to change his destiny. He didn't want to end it so hastily.
"Haha."
Yang Song chuckled and said, "Actually, this old man has already read your information about in the primary election stage. Today, I asked all of you to come over today just to get acquainted with each other. Your name is Li Bao, right? You are in your senior year and will soon be graduating. You have also submitted manuscripts to several websites before, but they have all been rejected."
When he heard this, Li Bao bowed his head in embarrassment.
"However, this old man is very interested in your ideas. The other websites do not accept it because they were short-sighted. I heard that you have joined our website, and your next book is going to be called "Martial Moves the Heaven". Regarding this name, this old man suggests that you should change it to "Martial Moves the Universe" instead."
"Ah?"
Li Bao suddenly looked up. Did this mean that he was successfully admitted?
And the name " Martial Moves the Universe ", was indeed much more domineering than "Martial Moves the Heaven".
This Elder Yang really deserved to be Elder Yang. With just a slight change of one word, the mood of the book was sublimated.

Seeing Li Bao's excited face, Yang Song also smiled slightly.
This Li Bao looked mediocre and a bit wretched. In addition, he had his head down most of the time and was very introverted. From this appearance alone, it could be seen that this kind liked something like novels, comics, and the likes.
And after observing this guy with the Eyes of Insight, Yang Song confirmed his judgment even more.
Li Bao's literary talent reached 98 in value, which was even higher than Yang Haodong. As long as he was given a good idea and a good environment, he would become the pillar of the company in the future for sure.
"Don't be so nervous, little friend Li Bao. Some of your manuscripts have been read by this old man. They are excellent in writing, smooth in narrative, and very rich in imagination. So this time, you must do your best. However, I must remind you first. To write a novel, you have to endure loneliness and stress. You have to keep at least 10,000 words updated every day, and sometimes, you have to write more than that. This requires hard work," Yang Song continued.
Li Bao nodded seriously, "Elder Yang, don't worry, I will definitely work hard."
He was so excited; he didn't expect Elder Yang to evaluate him so highly.
"En!" Yang Song looked at Zhang Qinqin again, "Little Qin, we also have some contracts, right? You can bring a few copies to me. We will sign the contract on the spot today. This will save a lot of time."
"Huh? Good, good!"
Zhang Qinqin didn't understand what was going on. But now that her elder had made a decision, she did not dare to ask more.
Quickly, she brought over a stack of contracts.
"Li Bao, you sign this copy! Congratulations, from today on, you will become a writer for my new website, and you will enjoy a fixed salary of 1,800 C dollars per month. After the website is launched and you can do well at that time, there will be a share of the manuscript fee."
Yang Song sent a contract to Li Bao.
When the other interviewees saw this, their enthusiasm soared instantly. 1,800 a month, and a share of the manuscript fee at that… This money was definitely not a small amount.
In the small Tong City, for an ordinary person who was not a martial artist, they had to work quite hard to earn this much.
"Okay, I'll sign it now."
After Li Bao got the contract, he didn't even look at the clauses and such. He just filled in the necessary area and signed directly. He didn't want to miss such a good opportunity because of hesitation.
"By the way, this contract is for a ten-year period. In other words, as long as you sign it, in the next ten years, as long as you write a novel, it must be published on this new website. Please consider it carefully," Yang Song reminded him.
Li Bao looked up at Yang Song and revealed a grateful look, "Elder Yang, I have already thought about it. If I sign this, I will have stable money every month. I don't have to worry about the risk of unemployment. So I must sign it without hesitation."
With that said, Li Bao decisively turned all the necessary pages that needed to be signed.
Because Yang Song's side had already been stamped with the official seal in advance, and the contract was officially effective the moment it was signed.
Like Li Bao, Yang Song selected more than 40 people with talent in literature one by one, and let all of them sign the ten-year contract.
After a lot of contracts were settled, his face was full of smiles.
These young people were the basis for the rise of the new novel website, and in the future, they would also become the elites of the online literature industry.
It was just that Zhang Qinqin, who was next to Yang Song, felt like she was dreaming. She even secretly pinched her own arm from time to time to ensure that this was real.
The website had not yet started operating, but her old man had already allowed so many to sign the contract people at once? If something went wrong, wouldn't it be a loss?
She would not care about the loss of money, however, if the reputation of the Yang Family fell into the mud because of this…
'Forget it, dad must have his own plans for doing this.'

For one, even if someone tried to tell her, she doesn't know the language. Number two, have you heard about the sunk cost fallacy? Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
