《Psycho X Psychic 》Chapter 28: Teren's Apology

Iesa observed Nick for a while. While she already heard his thoughts, she just wanted to be a hundred percent sure.
'What if he's just changing his mind? A person's mind is complicated after all.'
Only when Iesa saw that not only Nick is not in the shape to attack but also, he had no weapon with him.
Oblivious to the fact that she's being overprotective to Teren, she nodded.
"Fine, I just want to be sure about something." after saying that, Iesa sat down.
'What's that about?'
'I'm really itching to know what happened to them.'
The class's attention was still towards them. While Nick was paralyzed now that he is in front of Teren, the latter looked around and noticed they were at the center of attention and doesn't like it.
He sat down and said without looking at Nick in the eyes.
"Let's continue this at break." he casually said.
Nick gritted his teeth and nodded.
"Okay..."
He then sat down.
'That's it!?'
'What's with the drama!? This is getting intense!'
While the class was getting excited over this unexpected situation, Catherine looked at Teren.
'What's his relationship with Iesa? I was happy when I thought they were a couple but it seemed like I'm wrong.'
She then glanced at Mike and saw the worry in his face.
'It looks like Mike still has feelings for Iesa. I'm guessing he's worried why Iesa was protecting Teren. Tsk!'
Iesa didn't hear her thoughts. Just like in a normal conversation, she couldn't understand two speakers at the same time. She can only focus on one. Currently, she was focusing on Nick's thoughts, wanting to know about this gang and the purpose of his intentions.
Meanwhile, Teren was a bit shocked.

'Why would Iesa say that to Nick?'
He kept thinking until Teacher Hanon came in.
When it was time for attendance, he found out that the "long-lost" student was back.
"Nick Mauren..." he then noticed Nick and his state, "What happened to you?"
"I... got into an accident, sir."
Iesa: 'He's hiding it?'
She still hasn't heard about him retracting the case against Teren.
Random classmate 1: 'I thought he fought with Teren. But no way, Teren looked like a wimp compared to Nick.'
Random classmate 2: 'So it has nothing to do with Teren or Iesa, huh... strange.'
Lina: 'What happening now!? Is life getting ready to fuck my life!? What does this cocksucker want with my doggy!?'
Even after how many times Iesa heard it, she still has yet to get used to Lina's thoughts.
"Accident, huh... well, be careful next time. Not that you missed a lot, in my class that is. Since you are still recovering, I'll easy on you and when you're fine, that's when I'll give you a chance to compensate, okay?"
"Yes, Sir, thank you." Nick nodded, 'What a nice teacher.'
However, after that, he dreaded the time will come for morning break. Yet, no matter how much he dreaded it, time passed by, and break time began.
In the end, Iesa just found pity towards Nick. She also didn't find any useful information, even from Teacher Hanon.
When it's break time, Teren stood up. As he expected, Nick followed. However, what he did not expect was for Iesa to follow them while getting the whole class' attention again.
He stopped and turned to Iesa.
Nick immediately gave way for the two as if he's a private and these two are his superiors.

"I want to come too." knowing what Teren wanted to ask even though she couldn't hear his thoughts, Iesa said.
The three were already in the hallway. Even students from the other rooms saw them and got curious. Meanwhile, their classmates were peeking and tried to listen in secret.
Their curiosity was just too itchy, especially when it's about Iesa Hun, the most popular girl in school.
Teren couldn't say no.
'This is going to be so embarrassing. I just want to try and apologize to Nick.'
Seeing his classmates' stares, he didn't have any choice and hesitation.
"Alright..."
He then turned around and continued walking.
'Wait, why is Teren the one leading them?'
The class thought it was very weird for Teren, a classmate that they shouldn't have noticed at all if only Iesa Hun didn't come into the picture.
Iesa turned to them and dauntlessly glared at them. Just from this glare, her classmates forgot about following them.
Of course, Teren went to the canteen first to buy something to eat.
'He really has his own priorities, huh...' Iesa smiled, however, when he looked at Nick, she felt sympathy again.
Unexpectedly, Teren also bought Iesa her snacks like before.
Iesa blushed as she took it. Teren then looked at Nick and asked.
"Are you not going to buy anything?"
Nick, who was sweating, shook his head.
'How can he be so calm about this!? This psychopath, you're torturing me!'
Iesa nodded and truly felt sympathy.
'I felt that too, buddy.'
Sitting on a table, Nick sat opposite Teren while Iesa beside him.
Teren moved while hiding the fact that he was happy.
'Focus, Teren.' he thought before looking at Nick. The latter was much calmer.
'Good thing there are a lot of people. But I still have to be careful, I don't know what he's thinking.
Iesa: 'I don't know what he's thinking too and I'm a psychic.'
Nick wanted to say something but froze while Teren thought for a while and gave Nick his snacks.
"I apologize for what I did to you."
Shocking both Iesa and Nick.
'What!? The psychopath apologized!' they both thought.
Iesa then remembered that Teren did mention saying sorry once he saw Nick.
'So he did listen to my advice...' her fingers fidgeted.
Nick: 'All of that for a sandwich and a juice!?'
Iesa almost blew what she was eating. She didn't know if Nick is ungrateful or has the right to complain.
"Of course, I don't expect you to forgive me. After all..." Teren looked around to see if anyone's listening before leaning forward, further scaring Nick, and whispered.
"After all, I planned to kill you from the start."
"Eek..." tears fell from Nick's eyes.

Sarah was one of the world's best assassin players, but she wasn't prepared for getting stuck as a low-level player in a new game. Suddenly she has to struggle just to survive against the monsters of the world, while also keeping her secret from the authorities. What happens when the killing, and the consequences, are just too real? Author's Note (and a Warning): This book is about a normal person that is forced into a fantasy / medieval environment. What could possibly go wrong with our heroine? This novel is a sort of, legacy. I wanted to at least put it out there before I passed away due to a combination of financial difficulty, homelessness, job loss, and my last interview taking up the last of my savings (which I did not get the job). If by some miracle, and I get a job that can give me a pay advance by next week (4/8) and I survive this turbulent time, I will edit this - and the formating of the book).
