"Why would I do that?"

Teren asked. There was no way he would accept being labeled as a rapist. If only Iesa is not here, he would have ignored her but he have an image to protect.

He may be a murderer or a demon to others, but he had never committed any sexual acts since he was born.

"Why would you do that...?" Catherine shook in anger, not caring if she will argue with Terin himself. In her thoughts, she had already fallen to the lowest, no matter what she does, there's nothing that will change, "Don't act dumb!"

Therefore, she fought back.

"Do you think anyone will believe you!? Do you really think you will not do anything to me!?"

"Yeah..."

Teren felt troubled now. Just like what Catherine said, no one will believe him and he understands that fully.

He glanced at Iesa and found her enviously gazing at Catherine's paper. This made him more confused so he tried to ignore her expression.

Should he just ignore it then? It doesn't seem like Iesa cares so maybe he should.

"Go to hell, liar! Even if you think that now, what about in the future?! You think I'm dumb!? I wouldn't even enslave myself to a virtuous guy. If anyone got the opportunity to do whatever they want, they will do it. You may think that you won't touch me but as time passes, you eventually will. Unless you have an illness, you are a horny teenage male who's going through puberty! And what will you do once you've become itchy and I'm there, ready to use?!"

Catherine kept spouting situations that even Teren did not think of.

Teren looked around and saw that everyone agreed to her. Even Nick doesn't seem surprised by this. 

'But no, at this point, it seemed like she will not sign it. It's like she's been traumatized. Or any woman in that situation will react like that?'

He doesn't know how to handle these kinds of situations since he only have one method before he was very good at, killing.

'If this continues more...' Teren worriedly glanced at Hanon, 'If he figured it out before they sign it, the others will realize it too.'

He dropped Mira and asked Catherine.

"Okay, if there's one thing I can do to prove that I will not do those things to you, tell me."

Catherine thought it over and asked-

"Add it to the contract..."

She pointed.

"Impossible, it's already created. Sign it or not, that is the question. Editing it is not possible."

"Then..." Catherine looked around before finding another way, "Cut your d-"

"No"

Teren didn't even let Catherine finish her words before sighing.

"O-of course, you won't do it... you will use it to me..." Catherine growled.

'This is getting a bit annoying...'

"Why would you even think that I'm interested in doing it to you?"

Teren scratched his head.

"First, I'm a woman." Catherine immediately pointed at her one finger and another, "Second, I'm pretty. Third, I have a nice body. Fourth, I can't do anything against it. Fifth, can you say out loud that you didn't have the urge to experience sex even once in your whole life?"

'... she's cornering Teren...'

Nick watched on the sidelines and saw Teren unable to rebuke this.

It's because I want to do it with Iesa and not you!

That was Teren's strongest comeback but of course, he failed to say it. Iesa herself was there and he's not that shameless. 

"But... Catherine, I thought you intend to sign it from the start?"

Mike asked, remembering Catherine's words earlier.

"I will and I want to even if I become a toy but... I don't have the heart to sign it because of that thought. I don't like to be a toy. What if I signed it and they weren't saved? Wouldn't I sell myself and get nothing?"

Catherine explained. She just needs that one little push to sign it.

Teren sighed and walked out. As everyone's eyes watched him leave, they then heard him say-

"Catherine, follow me."

"H-huh...?"

She was petrified once more. She 'realized' what was happening. In her mind, she had already imagined what Teren was planning.

'I-is he planning to take my first time so that I no longer have anything to protect?'

She shivered and didn't move. However, Teren looked back at her and said.

"Follow me or all contracts are void and everyone will die."

He then entered the dark part of the woods. Still, Catherine didn't move. She looked around and saw her friends' eyes.

Catherine, sorry, but please, go.

Were what their eyes were saying. Thinking that anything was better than all of them dying, she had no choice but to force herself to walk and follow Teren.

Her heart was beating loudly. In these quiet woods, she could hear it herself. At any time, she felt like vomiting.

Eventually, she saw Teren waiting for her under the moonlight. She hesitated and thought that she can run away now, however, when the demon's eyes were laid onto her, that hesitation disappeared.

When she was finally in front of Teren, she was suddenly pulled.

Thud*

Her back hit the tree and Teren placed an elbow above as if not letting her escape.

"Catherine"

Teren spoke.

Catherine felt like she was losing air as she cannot breathe properly.

"I'll say this once so listen carefully. The one I love is Iesa and I want my first to be her, understand?"

"..."

"Tsk!"

Teren frowned as he turned his head away.

Catherine saw him became embarrassed. She saw him talk about love and how he want to preserve his first time. She saw how he reacted like a normal human being, a shy man who talks about his love.

"???"

Teren blinked a few times before he realized Catherine had slapped him as hard as she could.

"Y-you're disgusting..."

"..."

"After everything you've done, you think you can act like a normal human being?"

What Teren saw wasn't fear, but instead, it was pure disgust.

"It... it was honestly better if you just act like a demon. Does this mean you're not crazy? You have a proper thinking mind? But still... when you hurt them, how can you do it without hesitation? But now, you're saying you have emotions?"

Catherine saw the change in Teren's face. It was the usual coldness... no, it was worse than that.

"You're too naive..." he said.
