《Armipotent 》Chapter 562: Loyal Retainer - Part 3

General Allan massaged the space between his eyes and waved his hand at his subordinate, "Can you leave me alone for now, Gian?"
"Yes, Sir," The man called Gian bowed toward General Allan and left the tent.
General Allan still could hear Sir Page's scream. The high-pitched scream was heard by the other soldiers, and they were laughing at the clown. Missing a finger was nothing for the knights so they laughed at Sir Page's exaggerated reaction.
General Allan sat on the chair and rubbed his chin. At this point, he realized that he could not get the King's approval to attack the Lionax Kingdom. He had considered all things that might happen on the battlefield, and he thought this was the right time to attack the Lionax Kingdom. It was now or never.
First, The Right-Wing Guardian and King Emerson led an army away from the southern border. That meant they could not come to help the southern border. Second, He was afraid that the Lionax Kingdom had more hidden armies. If they waited until the Revolution Army was defeated, the Lionax Kingdom would reinforce the border and it would be harder for him to invade the Lionax Kingdom.
Third, if they attacked the Lionax Kingdom now, they might bait The Malecia Kingdom to attack the Lionax Kingdom as well. Civil war and added two kingdoms. There was a big chance that the Lionax Kingdom would collapse. This was their greatest chance and the King and the ruling families wanted to throw away the golden chance.
"Just wait, My Queen. I will make sure that those people will pay for what they have done to you! I will ensure that" General Allan gritted his teeth and called his commanders. He had a plan in his mind.

Three hours later…
"General Allan, you are under house arrest for assaulting Earl Page. Please surrender and follow us to Your Majesty!" A group of five knights stood in the middle of the military camp with General Allan in front of them. They were here to catch General Allan, forcing him to return to Warmir and also the army.

By how fast the Royal Knights of the Warmir arrived at the military camp. The King seemed to have expected the assault and prepared this plan for him. The King intentionally sent Sir Page to piss him off so that he would attack Sir Page. The plan was working smoothly.
"Have you investigated the case properly? There's a reason for me to do that, right? Why don't you investigate everything before you catch me?" General Allan remained defiant in front of the five knights. They were Royal Knights of the Warmir, listening only to the King's call.
"That's not our job. We come here under the King's order to catch you. Please cooperate and follow us back to the capital!" The leader of the five knights took a step forward and tried to reach General Allan's hand forcefully.
However, General Allan did not let him be caught. He took a big step forward that surprised the leader of the knight. He reached the knight's neck and raised him to the air. The movement shocked the other four knights as they did not expect that General Alan would fight back like this.
The four knights raised their swords but then they were in the military camps. The knights under General Allan's command surrounded the four knights. They drew their weapons out and pointed them toward the four knights.
"What's the meaning of this, General Allan!? We are the Royal Knight of Warmir. Assaulting us is the same as disrespecting the King himself!" The leader of the five knights yelled.
"Who cares about your king!? He is your King but not my King anymore! Since the King does not want to fulfill his promise, there's no need for me to be part of the Warmir Kingdom anymore! We will leave the Kingdom!" General Allan had made a decision.

"What!? This is treason and you will be executed for this, General Allan! Surrender now or…" Before the leader of the five knights finished his words, General Allan cut him off, "Or what? Will I be executed? Even if your King comes to me right now, he would not be able to catch me. I have been on the battlefield for years and your King has been sitting on his comfy throne for years!"
General Allan then looked at his subordinates and motioned his left hand toward the four knights, "Kill them, we only need one of them to be alive to send the message to that cowardly king!"
The thousands of knights swarmed to the four knights. The four knights were helpless and killed as the sword sliced them into pieces. The leader of the knight's body trembled at the sight of his subordinate being slaughtered. He was not expecting that General Allan would attack them.
The Leader of the knight was about to yell "Stop!" until an acute pain attacked his right arm. He looked down and noticed that his right arm was missing, "ARGHHHH!" The man screamed in agony as his other hand was cut as well. After that, General Allan threw the man onto the ground and stepped on the knight on the stomach, "Stop screaming and listen to me!"
At General Allan's words, the man stopped screaming. He gritted his teeth, enduring the pain. Even though he lost both his arms he did not suffer blood loss.
It was General Allan's trick. He did not want the knight to die from the blood loss or else he could not deliver his message to the King of the Warmir Kingdom.
"Convey my message to the King. Tell him that he would regret breaking his promise to me because after I destroy the Lionax Kingdom, the Warmir Kingdom is the next one! Tell that cowardly King the message, understand?" General Allan pulled the knight's hair. The latter nodded his head fiercely.
"Good, now you can leave! Scram!" General Allan shouted at the knight's face.
The knight endured the pain and ran away. He did not bother to collect his subordinate's corpses as he escaped alone.
General Allan looked toward the knight's back for a while before he turned around in a certain direction. He was looking in the direction of the Gigante Forest, "I hope you are doing well in the Gigante Forest, my friend. I will bring more force to help you. I don't care anymore if you want to maintain the kingdom or to destroy the kingdom. As long as I can avenge Queen Rosalie, I will follow your rules,"
General Allan was desperate for vengeance. He could not wait any longer so he decided to defect and join Commander Alton's force in the Gigante Forest, "Just wait, Queen Rosalie. I will make sure that the people who plotted against you would suffer a cruel death!" He muttered in a low voice.
After that, General Allan looked at his subordinate, "Get the men ready, Gian. We will enter the Gigante Forest,"
Gian bowed his head, "Don't worry, Sir. I have arranged everything,"
"Good, make sure to not leave the knight's families as. We will be moving permanently from the Warmir Kingdom into the Gigante Forest!"

His mission: rescue the Earther and figure out how he got there. Dark secrets lie beneath the surface of paradise, however. Will he be able to find this new hero and get out before whatever malicious forces brought them there doom them both? Book 1 has been finished! You can read Book 2 here in parallel or even before Book 1 if you want more TOAL than Artyom! https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/47708/the-isekai-police-hero-summonings-are-overrated This story is meant to be a deconstruction of the isekai genre that references and sometimes pokes fun at various tropes. Artyom isn’t some kid whose goal is to amass Levels or a harem. In fact, all he cares about is protecting other Earthers, and won’t let anything like that get in the way! So expect to see: -A mature main character who still has some flaws. -Character development over the course of the story. -No harems! (see last point) -A vibrant world full of interesting people, deep culture, and mysterious lore that gets uncovered as the story goes on. -Plenty of funny moments along the way! -The presence of a few cliched tropes and stereotypes only for the sake of poking fun at them. So step in, take the first leap, and uncover the next hot take on this expansive genre! My discord here: https://discord.gg/Zc8CHSrxVr

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
