《Lord of The Mysterious Realms》Chapter 12: Three types of items

Before he could finish, he was interrupted by Bincy.
"About this matter, you do not have enough authority for me to reveal it to you. But you can now know that it has to do with a [mysterious object]. There are three categories of supernatural items, Class A [Mysterious Objects], which are strange items that fall out of the [Mysterious Realm] that disintegrate due to no one having passed through it for a long period of time, usually speaking they do great damage and are inaccessible, they may not just be items but also creatures, events or even a piece of information; Class B [Transcendent], supernatural items brought out of the Mysterious Realm that are permanently effective, some can also be made by themselves but they are extremely rare; Class C [Enchantments] are the most precious item and can only be obtained by meeting certain conditions in the Mysterious Realms or by purifying the Mysterious Objects.
Well, actually the main purpose of today is to help you understand the Enchanters, but before that, you need to take a test."
"Wait a minute sir, but I don't know about those points of light and abilities yet ......"
Jenkins asked hesitantly.
"Those things need to be explained by a professional, I'm just a combatant."
He waved his hand and quickly moved on to the next topic, then looked at Jenkins seriously.
"There are many jobs that need to be taken on by the Church's Transcendents, including front line combat, logistics, and information gathering, but its not only limited to themDepending on our abilities, each person is assigned a different position, such as the janitor we just met at the gate, his soul traits contain the ability to enable him to tell if a human he sees is in disguise or not."
"That's a really good ability for a janitor."
Jenkins said dryly.
Bincy laughed, shook his head, and continued, "You should have noticed that the point of light in front of you has disappeared since coming out of [the Mysterious realm]. This is normal, maintaining the point of light also requires our [Spirit], don't ask me about the Spirit, wait for your guide. Also an ability in [Mysterious Realm] can only be used once, but there is no need to use any spiritual power, and no power is needed to maintain its appearance of the points of light, so you are able to see them all the time. In the real world it's different, now follow me, close your eyes and imagine that there are currents flowing through your whole body, then just open your eyes."

This was the reason Jenkins had fainted last night, being a newly awakened rookie he didn't have much spiritual power, and coming out of the trick realm he didn't know the way to turn off the appearance of the points of light and had used his eyes ability several times.
Jenkins immediately did as he was told, but it was really difficult because "air flowing through" itself was such a vague description that he had trouble finding the sensation Bincy was talking about, opening his eyes many times and getting nothing.
"Maybe I should try my own method."
As he thought, he closed his eyes again and took a deep breath, "Qi sinks into the dantian, true qi flows through the whole body ......"
The familiar description caused Jenkins to quickly feel something, he opened his eyes and in addition to the middle aged man in front of him, there were three more dots of white, green and purple light and four bubbles in his field of vision.
"You are now level 0, and so you can only have three abilities. And after a natural awakening, the white ability of [World Gift] and the exclusive ability of [Soul Trait] will inevitably appear, so you should still be able to see a blank bubble."
"One?"
Jenkins blinked, sure enough it was the same as what he had heard at last night's party, but Bincy's explanation was vague enough that it still seemed necessary to attend a legitimate party.
What happened last night was not important than his twice the no. of abilities.
"Maybe I should tell him extra bubbles in order to gain credibility with the church, and since Mr. Barnard knows about it, I'm not sure he will be keeping it a secret ......". Jenkins thought in his mind
"Sir, I have two blank bubbles, I drank a liquid during last night's encounter and then there was an extra one."

Bincy did not feel surprised and said lightly, "The message passed from the [No light Moon] side pointed this out, you are really lucky that this kind of thing has not happened for years. But don't say anything about this to others in the future, the abilities of the Enchanters are all personal secrets."
This remark was also made by Barnard last night.
"According to the colour of the light points, abilities are divided into [White - Basic] [Red - martial arts] [Yellow - Spell] [Green - Life] and [Golden -Divine], there are other colours beyond this, but they are very, very rare and I won't give their examples. For us Enchanters, each person's identity is marked by the ability to coalesce soul traits gained upon awakening."
As he spoke, he removed a red-covered book from his breast pocket.
The book was roughly the average size of a standard letterhead, and there was nothing written on it..
"Trait abilities are the most special of all, and when activated, an additional wave appears in addition to the corresponding effect. Some call it a spiritual wavelength, others say it is the colour of [Spirit]. But these are not important, what is important is that there is absolutely no way in this world that two different trait abilities fluctuate in the same way. Put your hand up and stimulate your trait ability."
Bincy pushed the red book in front of Jenkins, who immediately stretched out his right hand and pressed it on the surface of the book.
"Sir, how should I stimulate the ability?"
During last night's inicident, Jenkins had merely heard Barnard mention this matter, and had not tried it himself.
"Concentrate on the point of light in front of you and imagine it to be an extension of your body."
This seemed a bit different from Barnard's description, but it didn't matter.
Jenkins started trying again, but it was still difficult. It was only after five or six minutes of silence in the room that he finally felt a flow of air in his hands.
In correspondence, the red book cover immediately changed to green.
"Life-like abilities?"
Bincy looked surprised, "That's good, that's good."
He put the book back away and his gaze at Jenkins now was a bit different.
"Since it's a life based ability, it's much easier to test. Mr. Williams, you will be assigned your future place and job below, so please demonstrate your abilities a little."
"An interview huh?"
Jenkins thought to himself, then scratched his arm in embarrassment, "My ability is to heal through contact with the skin, so how do I demonstrate it?"
"Just a moment, we need to prepare some live animals."
He didn't leave his chair immediately, but continued to explain, "As I said earlier, the ability is an Enchanter's greatest secret. But sometimes one has to share their abilities with others in order to figure out exactly what they are capable of doing. The next test will be conducted by the two of us, and the information afterwards will be sealed by the Church in a way that will never be leaked. I Swear to the Goddess that I will not tell anyone about what I saw either."

A Titan's Crusade
Erik Thayne spent most of his life being brutally ridiculed and tormented for his weight and physical appearance, among other things. A social pariah and diagnosed with an eating disorder no one has an explanation or treatment for, Erik spent years trying to overcome his issues with his personal image and escape the ridicule and vicious torment of his peers. After years of dedicated effort, and a fresh start in a town away from his childhood and adolescent tormentors, he had finally begun to truly realize what he'd been striving for all along. Only, fate apparently has other plans because in the blink of an eye, Erik found himself snatched from Earth and taken to another universe, another world, where he is offered the chance to be more than he'd ever imagined. Now, he has to fight to restore the Balance between Chaos and Order on a world of swords and magic, in a universe governed by the System's laws, which resemble those of RPGs from Earth. Erik learned to embrace the things about himself that others taught him to hate, using them to reforge his physical identity into something more removed from his old self-loathing. But can he learn to embrace the darkest parts of his mind just as he did the reviled aspects of his body and become who he needs to be to succeed in the task set before him? It might just prove easier to stalk in the dark as a monster than to walk in the light as a man... *This is my first time publishing anything I've written to a public audience. Due to formatting issues, I forwent traditional stat-screens for something a little less problematic, delineating stat screens by separating them from regular text with horizontal lines in a lighter-grey coloration. Let me know if you like them or not. Criticism is entirely welcome, but please don't hate on my work after only reading 1 chapter. This is a writing project I intend to complete but I have committment problems so we'll see how long this goes on. Also, fair warning, as the description implies, the main protagonist is intended to be someone who has been treated cruelly, developed antisocial tendencies, and ultimately has to question his own humanity--or lack thereof. This story is not intended to be brutally dark but I will definitely be trying to follow a darker theme. It is intended to be violent and some scenes later in the story might be...alarming. There will likely also be some light, non-graphic (think more implied with crude jokes and conversation than actual details, there will be no full-blown sex scenes)relationship scenes planned later and if you're opposed to either a bisexual or gay main character, stay away. I haven't yet decided which way he's going to swing but the odds on him being straight are relatively miniscule, and I've always wanted to write a story about a gay man who basically looks like a lumberjack because who doesn't like giving conventional stereo-types the middle finger? This will NOT be a harem story, and I have no intention to focus on romance over action--it's a consequence of character development where I'm concerned, not the be-all-end-all of the story. The cover-art does not, in any way, belong to me. It was an image titled the Druid King (by duskanmarkovic according to the file name) which I found on Google Images. Until I can get something commissioned, this is the best stand-in image I could find.
