《Harry Potter: Blood of the Dragon 》Chapter 112: Magnus' Decision

Magnus didn't go anywhere, he refused to return to his school and told Dumbledore to leave him with his family. But Ragnar and Severus couldn't be left outside as they were not officially related to Adam and Grace.
"Don't do something crazy, Mag," Ragnar advised him as he left.
"Contact us if you need anything. I will send some health potions laters. Your father's burned skin can also be healed with magic," Snape said.
Magnus thanked them, "Thanks for your offers, I will contact you if something happens, and don't worry, I won't do something very big."
Before leaving, Dumbledore also talked to him, "I will try to get a good healer from St Mungo's hospital to help your father. And about the protection that keeps your family safe, this was a big lapse in their work. They never expected for muggles to attack while they only focused on magical threats."
Magnus understood, wizards rarely knew much about what was going on in the muggle world. He nodded and let them leave.
Soon, Dumbledore returned to Hogwarts. Magnus didn't go back into the room to meet his mom. Instead, he went to the terrace of the hospital.
"Abraham and George, come here." He called the two elfs.
*Pop* X2
With that sound, the two appeared in their gentleman attire.
"How good are you at covertly working? I'm not talking about house chores." Magnus asked.
Abraham, quickly answered, "We are very good, with our old master, we used to go on many magical animal hunts, those animals had very good noses or eyes, so we had to be very careful."
"Sir, we are sorry for not taking better care of Mr Grant. If we were there, we could have saved him." George apologised.
Magnus patted his shoulder, "It was not your fault, George. It's the fault of this country for not being able to solve such problems quickly and letting people get injured and die, it is the fault of those terrorists who think their demands will be accepted if they kill people. But, I am no statesman, I will deal with the persons who hurt my family, the intelligence has given us photos from the security camera. We will now find them and kill them, no mercy to people who are happy to kill others for their religious or other beliefs.
"I am a hypocrite too because I'm myself doing this due to my beliefs, but... NOBODY GETS TO MESS WITH MY FAMILY!"
"What are we to do, sir?" The two asked.
"Use the point me charm and look for them. Start the search from the army base where the bomb blast happened. It is possible that they are hiding closeby, thinking nobody will look there." Magnus ordered. The two elfs seriously straightened their backs and popped away.
After this, he went back into the room. Adam was up and looking around. Grace was tired and was sleeping on the couch.
Magnus smiled as their gazes met, "You could have just taken a leave if you wanted some rest. Why get blasted?"
Adam talked in a whispering manner as he didn't want to move much and cry in pain, "Hah... I'll remember that next time."
"Don't worry about your injuries, all of them can be cured with magical potions and some spells. You will be back in shape in a month. The charmed protections I had given you saved your life this time, but, seeing the situation of this country, I must make some more of them." Magnus discussed.

Adam slightly nodded and asked, "I... saw you in my dream..."
"I was indeed there, I was using a magical technique called Legilimency, it is used to invade people's mind and see their memories. I used it to wake you up by making you realise that what you were seeing was a dream. I must say, dad, you looked very cute when you were small." Magnus laughingly said.
"Hehe... of course... I was the cutest kid around the block, pretty big sisters used to give your dad kisses back then..." Adam chuckled slowly.
"IS THAT SO?" Suddenly, Grace's voice came from behind.
Magnus laughed, "Come on, mummy. Cut him some slack, he was 5 back then."
"Hmph... So what? I will punish him once he gets better." She threatened, but it was all in love.
*POP*
Abraham appeared. He looked at Magnus but was signalled to stay silent.
"Mummy, I will go home and bring the change of clothes for you," Magnus told her.
"I have cooked a meal too, we will pack it and bring it for you." Abraham also assured.
"Okay, Mag." Grace stiffly replied and let Magnus and Abraham leave.
Instantly, Adam voiced, "He lied, didn't he?"
"Yes, he did. And I'm too afraid to ask why. Honestly, since he started getting involved in this magical side of the world, everything about him has become so mysterious." Grace replied emotionally.
"I hope he doesn't get into any trouble..." Adam sighed.
...
Magnus came to a large, nearly empty warehouse with Abraham. There, he saw 3 men tied all together on chairs. Magnus could hear their screams.
"WHAT ARE YOU? So Ugly!" one of them shouted at George.
*SHHHH*
Magnus saw George sending a flash of light from his finger and soon the man started screaming.
Soon, they noticed Magnus and were shocked that a kid was here for some reason.
"Help us..." They pleaded.
Magnus scoffed, "Why would your captor help you?"
The three were in shock, "W... b-but why?"
Magnus took out his wand and waved his hand. He cast a Levicorpus spell on all three of them. They were scared and shocked about how this was happening to them. This was like magic.
"WHAT ARE YOU?" They asked fearfully while being held in the air upside down by their ankles.
*BAM*
Magnus levitated a nearby brick and threw it at the man, "Only I ask the question and you answer. Now, which one of you is the mastermind of the blast today?"
"What are you ta..."
*BAM*
This time a bigger brick bumped onto their stomachs. They cried in pain and their mouths became bloody.
"I WANT THE TRUTH," Magnus demanded.
"It was him,"
"Yes, it was him"
Two of them ratted their partner out. Magnus released the two who spoke and they fell to the ground.
"Abraham, do you know how to obliviate?" Magnus asked in a softer tone.
"Yes, sir," Abraham affirmed.
"Good, chop their thumb, index finger and middle finger so they may never wield a gun. Then Obliviate their entire life from their minds and leave them outside London. That will be their punishment, they took away other's life, I will take their life while they live. But for this one." Magnus ordered and turned back to the mastermind.

"Why did you do it?" He asked.
The man crazily answered, "You British have no right over Ireland. We will not sit quietly until Northern Ireland is free."
"Why? So you can start the ethnic cleansing of Protestants? I know you have differences but that does not give you the right to start killing, apart from, you're all Christians, just with slightly different rituals. Besides, you chose violence as the answer to your problems, and violence only results in more violence, look where you are now." Magnus said. He was no expert in the political issue, but as a kid, this was the best he could understand.
"YOU ARE JUST A KID... A FREAK..." the man started blabbering.
Magnus sighed, "I bet poor Ariana Dumbledore was called a freak too by muggles causing her mental distress. I would have loved to meet her instead of the old fox Dumbledore. Did you know, there is a segment of the human population that evolved differently? They have magical powers and live for hundreds of years. But, because of the human nature of attacking what they don't understand, they decided to go into hiding in the 17th century.
"Also, a fun fact, I am the next in line to the British throne, and the person you attacked today was my FATHER!"
The man turned rageful and started barking, "I-I didn't know... BUT... Even if what you said is true and he is indeed a Royal Prince... I would have planted a lot more explosive... BASTARD WOULD HAVE SURELY DIED THEN!"
"GEORGE... is the hole ready?" Magnus asked angrily.
"It's ready, sir," George replied.
Magnus nodded and lowered the man into the hole on the ground. "Pour in the cement."
George snapped his finger and out of nowhere a concrete mixer truck appeared and started pouring concrete on the hole.
The man finally realised what was happening. He realised that he was going to die, and not many people have the mental fortitude to stick to their beliefs even when facing death, only some crazy spies do that.
"FORGIVE ME... I-I WOULDN'T DO IT AGAIN. I WILL QUIT THE IRA. PLEASE..." he pleaded.
"No, I know you will target my family again. If you had come after me by some miracle, I would have let you live to be honest, but... I love my mum and dad far too much to let people like you remain breathing." Magnus replied. By now, he had lost all expressions on his face.
His mind was telling him to stop and not kill him. Until now, the Death Eaters he had killed were actually fighting him and it was a situation of life and death. But, here, he had full control over the life of this man.
He closed his eyes and tried to talk to Merlin. He knew that the invisible bead locket on his neck had many mysteries and Merlin's voice came from there too.
"Should I kill him, Merlin?" He asked.
Thankfully, Merlin replied softly, he tried to help Magnus to the best of his ability. "This is for you to decide, son. Back in my days, people were sentenced to death for even the smallest of crimes. Even stealing food might get you killed.
"I knew human life was important, but, I also knew that those times demanded such punishments so others won't get motivated to do them. Arthur has personally brought his sword of justice to the necks of thousands.
"Here, this man is responsible for the death of so many lives. You may be doing this just thinking about family, but remember, he also killed 2 more innocent men, your father's driver and assistant. They also had families, maybe kids too, they are probably crying right now, besides the lifeless bodies of their loved one.
"This man here injured many more, and it's unknown how many more he has killed. If you let him go today, nobody knows how many more he would kill.
"Remember, when a rabid dog tries to eat people around it, it is caught and put to permanent sleep. Terrorists like these are also rabid dogs. And, even if you don't finish him today, he will someday eventually die, and his destination is already decided, which is hell."
"Does hell even exist?" Magnus asked with interest.
"Of course, that old sage man at Stonehenge told me this. Ah, I wish I could talk to him some more, he was so full of knowledge. Anyway, coming back to the topic, it's your decision, Magnus." Merlin said and stopped talking.
Magnus found himself back, staring at the man, crying while the hole got filled. By now, only the neck of the man was outside.
~If I do this today, I will be setting a precedent for myself. Terrorists like him, rabid humans like him, must be put to eternal sleep.~ he thought to himself and finally made up his mind.
He walked closer to the man who stopped screaming, but his face was still full of terror and fear "Save me... please... FORGIVE ME..."
Magnus pointed his wand at him, "Sorry, but I have decided what I will be in this life. No mercy to people like you. I cannot ignore the cries of the families of the people you killed, people who had nothing to do with you or the IRA.
"I can only show you a little mercy of painless death. I know Arthur would have done the same. STUPEFY!"
As soon as the spell hit him he fell unconscious and the hole soon got fully filled with concrete. The floor of the warehouse started looking as it was before.
"Let's go back home to pick mum's clothes, George," Magnus said and started walking out of the warehouse.
As they walked out, Magnus sighed, "Ah... I forgot to ask that man's name."
"It's okay, sir. People like him don't deserve to be remembered." George replied and teleported away with Magnus.
