《Start With Contracting Sprites》Chapter 194: Special Training Camp Challenge (First Update)

Battle assessment.
The Electric Bear had five battles, three wins and two losses.
It revealed many of its problems.
For example, insufficient battle experience, insufficient battle experience, and insufficient battle experience.
Against the Great Titan that had just entered the elite-level, it could use a killer move like "Meat Bouncing Thunder Ball" to gain the upper hand. It used a ball with pretty strong destructive power to knock the opponent down.
But against those veteran elite-levels, the Electric Bear wasn't too good.
"When the Meat Bouncing Thunder Ball was used, the attack trajectory was too obvious… It didn't show the agility of the Thunder Ball."
It had been predicted that it would completely be taken down by the Flaming Spray, and immediately lose half its life.
After all, it was only a weak and hungry entry-level Electric Bear that had only been contracted for a few months.
"Sob, sob, sob!"
The Electric Bear looked at its body. Its beautiful white fur was scorched black, and the whole bear was about to cry.
Su Hao touched it… and comforted the parts of its body that weren't burned.
"Don't be afraid, your improvement is already very fast. You just need to fight a few dozen more rounds and you'll be able to debut as a Strong Bear."
The Electric Bear even stopped crying.
Why did it have to bear the pain that this bear shouldn't have?
It was probably because of his love for games.
Sob ~!
...
After the final examination, Instructor Sun Gaoang, who was in charge of Lakeview Court's assessment, found Su Hao.
He asked, "Are you sure you want to apply for the special training camp challenge?"
The special training camp was one of the most mysterious places in Whale Island University's campus… at least.
Many first-year students didn't even know that there was such a place in school.
In the whole of Whale Island University, only 100 out of the thousands of students who could be considered geniuses all over the country could enter the special training camp.
The best of the best!
There were the most advanced and expensive facilities.

There were also richer resources to nurture.
It was to nurture real experts.
"If you want to challenge the students of the special training camp… Alright, your results are sufficient. It's good to give it a try. You can accumulate experience."
Instructor Sun said, "Since you're ready, I'll register your name. Don't leave the school for the next few days. If it's short, two to three days. The longest the notification will take will be a week."
"Thank you, instructor."
"Let me tell you more about the rules, although you may already understand them."
He said, "When the time comes, you will challenge the top ten people in the special training camp together with the other challengers. As long as you can defeat any one of them, you will be able to obtain the qualifications to enter the special training camp."
"The battle method is a real battle, where you are going on the field with your sprite."
"You should be experienced in the College Entrance Examination reform this year, but the experience of the students in the special training camp… will only be richer."
...
On the fourth day after the final examination.
Early in the morning, Su Hao set off for the special training camp at the back of Whale Island.
He rode the Water Unicorn Beast and had Butterfly on his head.
The Flaming Spiritcrow soared in the air.
The Electric Bear ran on all fours.
All four sprites were brought along.
"What facilities are there in the special training camp?"
Su Hao was not sure.
He had once asked Senior Jiang Xiuqi, but he mysteriously expressed that you would know when you go there.
He just wanted to flip the table.
But without a doubt, the seniors in the special training camp were extremely strong!
"Even if they are similarly at elite-level limits, their battle powers are extraordinary!
"Ordinary elite-level limit can very likely be killed in one move."
On the other hand, he himself.
Electric Bear… omitted.
The Water Unicorn Beast was mainly responsible for bringing him around.
The real main forces were still Butterfly and Flaming Spiritcrow.

Two sprites.
Butterfly was pretty much an advanced elite-level.
Flaming Spiritcrow… Its speed of improvement after evolution was much faster, but it hadn't reached the limit of elite-level.
The difference was too great!
The enemy was too strong!
He had to give it his all!
...
At the same time, many people also set off from the dormitory area and other areas to the area where the special training camp was.
Some were challengers like Su Hao.
Some were those ranked at the bottom of the special training camp and were the ones being challenged.
"What a waste of time!"
On a Clear Jade Lotus sat a boy in yellow clothes, cross-legged. He snorted very impatiently. "At the end of last semester, we were the winners, and we had another special training camp for the semester. Those weaklings weren't a match for us half a year ago, let alone now!
"I wonder why the school allowed them to challenge. What a waste of time!"
"Only one day, at most two days."
Another person spoke. A striking lightning symbol was drawn on the front of his clothes.
Below him was a Thunder Deer.
It was the final evolved form of the Little Lightning Deer. Its horns were crackling with lightning.
Behind the Lightning Man was a humanoid sprite with a big belly like a thunder drum.
Thunderous Pig King.
In the sky, there was also a Purple Lightning Wings, with wingspan of seven to eight meters, flying.
Three Thunder-Element Sprites!
Lightning Man came from a Thunder-element Sprite Trainer family. He had already become a member of the special training camp as a second-year student.
He had a bright future.
He had a 99% chance of becoming a master-level Sprite Trainer before graduation.
It was also very likely for him to be selected as a member of the school team.
"We have to regulate occasionally. Abusing others can make our sprites healthier."
His words were filled with confidence.
Anyone who made a lot of progress in half a year would be as confident as him.
Only a boy sitting on the Great Titan shook his head.
He opened his mouth, wanting to persuade the other two to be more cautious.
But after thinking about it, as long as the members of the special training camp didn't relax, it was almost impossible for them to be surpassed by other students.
...
At the special training camp.
It looked like a sealed town, with many training facilities inside.
Su Hao didn't go deeper.
It was just that they were led to a high-level battle hall outside the special training camp.
When he arrived, many people had already arrived.
They either stood or sat.
It was vaguely divided into two parts.
"The ones with fewer people are the students from the special training camp, the ones being challenged."
When Su Hao came, many people looked at him, then looked away.
He was a nameless person.
He was actually not nameless anymore.
Many people had heard of the two words "Su Hao".
But in real life…
No one recognised him.
It was just that some female seniors felt that he was a little handsome, so handsome, too handsome.
They looked over from time to time.
Su Hao felt those gazes and became wary.
"Indeed, my name is too resounding. I attracted the attention of others the moment I arrived."
"They must be observing and analyzing. I can't let them see the reality."
"After all, there are competitors among the challengers!"
Su Hao thought to himself.
A few minutes later, a few instructors arrived.
The male instructor in the lead had long, artistic-looking hair. Su Hao forgot what his name was, and only remembered that he was a water-element instructor.
A first-level instructor.
He counted the people present and said, "Since everyone is here, let's begin."
"Each of you has a maximum of three challenges, you can freely choose your opponents. Who wants to go first?"
The moment the instructor finished speaking, a boy with a crew cut spoke first.
"Let me challenge you, Xiang Qi!"
He walked forward and came in front of a muscular boy.
The two of them looked at each other and only separated after a while.

[The Story] What this story is: A LitRPG, portal-like, slow-moving story with a protagonist who has to balance crafting and 'magic' to survive. The books have a pre-thought-out plot and finish. Also, the world is harsh, and things don't always go the MC's way. What it is not: A drama, romance, grimdark, although these elements might appear. I've had some feedback that the intro seems to set up a very rough life for the MC. There is a reason for this, and I hope you give it a try beyond the first few chapters. Do note, this is not an unreasonably harsh novel.
