《Consuming Earths, Devouring Skies 》Chapter 119: Events After Departure

Standing atop the spatial platform, Yan Zaizen's group of three waited for departure. A brilliant silver light that seemed to consume the sky in its radiance exploded violently outwards. Everyone, including Yan Zaizen's group, had to close their eyes lest they suffer immediate harm.
Various complex spatial formations revealed themselves, some exited the spatial platform and surrounded each individual on the platform like a protective eggshell. If one looked from afar, the entire sky in the spatial platforms vicinity revealed a large eggshell-like structure. This formation was at the grand-tier with the law of spatial transmission embedded within. The spatial energy fluctuations felt incredibly calm, unlike chaotic space.
As a small human-sized formation encapsulated each individual, Yan Zaizen could feel his Spatial Form of Infinite Stability radiate with an indistinguishable aura from the platform. "This?" Startled, Yan Zaizen looked at his Spatial Form of Infinite Stability that resided within his soul form, and he could see its silver-eyes slowly shine with a phenomenal silver light!
"Is this...this is!" Interconnected with his conceptual law, he felt as if he understood something. It was like seeing a fraction of the world's many mysteries before him. Pinaka once mentioned that his conceptual law covered nearly the entirety of spatial laws, besides disrupting spatial concepts, this conceptual law defined all others! As he cultivated the Violet Way of Spatial Shifting, he was unable to enter the spatial void, but that was because he didn't have any definite impression regarding it.
It was like being told to navigate a city when you couldn't understand the map, but now...he felt as if he could understand the map!
FLASH!!
Yan Zaizen and all the others vanished into the spatial void, their bodies transmitted through an isolated tunnel towards the end. Their bodies were shuttling through the void with exceptional speed. Typically, this sensation would be like traveling through a blinding tunnel of silver light at high speeds, but to Yan Zaizen, it was different! His eyes flickered with silver-light and peered into the spatial tunnel that was etched by the spatial platform.

This was the first time he'd truly viewed spatial tunneling within the void before. He had a distinct feeling that...if he wanted, he could simply step out. He had the feeling that if his cultivation base was higher, he could collapse this entire tunnel with a single thought!
"This...is the spatial void!" His silver-eyes radiated so brilliantly that they even outshone the light within the tunnel.
----------
"Move!" A group of heavily armored individuals barged into Grand Bless Inn. Their fierce momentum was thunderous and unstoppable! Without any hesitation, they shattered the door and its resulting formations with sheer force. Entering Yan Zaizen's room, their eyes scanned the surroundings in shock and disbelief.
An armored man with a sturdy physique, broad shoulders, a grand height that exceed Yan Zaizen's, and tiger-like eyes stepped outwards through his soldiers. The others moved aside in his presence with respect and reverence within their eyes.
Dong Lin, the Commander of Royal Elite Army, had the qi cultivation base of initial-True Essence Realm, and a body cultivation that could rival it. His strength was legendary, having lived for nearly fifteen thousand years, and his reputation reached the ears of all in the Fallen Stars Continent. His eyes emanating tyrannical ferocity and bursting intensity were filled with discontent and a hint of anger.
"How?" He seemed to have spoken casually, but it thundered to the point that those in the streets with weak cultivation bases collapsed to their knees. However, when he asked this question, none of his men stepped up with a response.
Only after ten seconds of unanswered silence, did he squint his eyes in frustration. A young, black-haired woman appeared beside him like a shadowy flash, her body was slender, but it emanated a deep vital energy aura that could shatter a mountain. She spoke with the utmost respect in her tone, "From our information and surveillance, the culprit — Yan Zaizen — was here a few minutes ago."
Dong Lin didn't respond, sending his qi-sense outwards to scour several tens of li around, unfortunately, because of the spatial platform being activated, even his qi-sense couldn't penetrate its barrier. "He's gone." He declared, his tone unpleasant.

However, the Royal Elite Army soldiers didn't quiver with fear at his discontent, instead, they radiated traces of unyielding ferocity that wished to make things right. Unfortunately, how could they? Yan Zaizen was just as gone as a gram of sand dumped into the ocean.
"Find him!"
They all disappeared with profound movement arts like silver shadows, despite their heavy armors, they were exceptionally agile. The young woman assented with a slight sound. Her body disappeared as a shadowy flash once more.
For the next few minutes, the entire Sky Night Royal City was turned upside down, no rock was left unturned, every bucket of water searched, and any individual that seemed remotely shady was interrogated without any scruple. Their tyrannical actions didn't elicit any display of discontent from anyone, simply fear that the one they were looking for was them, and then relief when they found out it wasn't.
Unfortunately for them, Yan Zaizen was in the spatial void tunneling towards the Xiantu Realm. How could they find him? However, also fortunate. If Yan Zaizen was here, the rage he'd feel from being searched for and pursued without proper explanation could've established the death date of the Imperial Clan. Just that may not have enraged him enough, but after being accused of a crime he didn't commit, one could imagine his reaction.
Several hours passed, but Yan Zaizen was nowhere in sight.
Ya Qinqan, Mei, Hei, Sun Huan, Li Qiyu, Li Ruogang, Ke Zedong, and Yao Wuhen were currently within an open field. This field was located within the Royal Wall, it was flat and obviously meant for cultivation practice, and had a very isolated feel to it.
Yao Wuhen's brow was furrowed in contemplation. Earlier, her disciple was summoned by the Imperial Clan to the Royal Wall for questioning. But how could she simply allow such a thing to occur? She tagged along, her eyes suffused with discontent, but she imagined it had to do with Yan Zaizen. Luckily, no one knew that Yan Zaizen was her backer...yet.
A kind-looking middle-aged man with greys at his temple, a dashingly handsome countenance, and addressed in light green robe slowly walked into the field. He had smiling eyes that gave one a strange and odd sensation as if a contradiction was currently taking place. He was Dong Sei, the Imperial Prosecutor, and a cultivator at the initial-True Essence Realm. Unlike Grux, whose Imperial Clan's surnames would be determined by the name of the country, all those in the imperial title was given the name 'Dong'.
Dong Wei - Imperial Protector, Dong Lin - Imperial Commander, or Dong Sei - Imperial Prosecutor. They weren't related by blood, but they were related by loyalties, a part of the Imperial Clan. Each one of them had an exceptional status within the entirety of the continent, and could even be considered heavyweights in their own right within the entire realm.
As Dong Sei approached, he took out a folding fan, and slowly unfolded it. Flapping it casually on himself, he smilingly said, "Give me everything you know about this...Yan Zaizen." His words didn't come as a request, but a demand. Yao Wuhen was calm on the outside, but her heart dropped several degrees.
Did Yan Zaizen offend the imperial clan somehow? If so, how?
"What did this Yan Zaizen do?" Yao Wuhen inquired. Her expression still the very picture of serene calm. Dong Sei stopped flapping his fan, his smiling eyes revealed a malicious light. This caused all those who saw, including Yao Wuhen, to feel an icy cold fear well up within their hearts.
"I'll be frank, as each one of you will swear a soul oath. His crime is: tainting Princess Qin! The daughter of the Ancient Emperor. His sentence: DEATH!"
...What?
...What?!
...WHAT?!

Whilst the never-ending war between Man, Beast and Mutant rages on, most are not even aware of a war that happened between men. Its prophecies shattered, their remnants surviving only in obscure bard tales. One is about to grow. On the cracked face of the world, Essence storms and Beast Waves keep the citizenry locked atop the Emperor city of Qaelang. Knowledge of the past is as rare as the metals that flow into the hands of Sacred Artists and at the root of it all are whispers of a malignant force, ancient and terrible. Holding humanity back from achieving greatness, but hiding too are secrets best left untouched. Balance, discipline and order have held Qaelang secure since time immemorial, the powers within claiming to adhere to them. None are more fearful of change than the ones with the most to lose, but change is coming. Blade of Wuxia is a long character-focused epic fantasy with progression and growth. It's about a boy's quest to become powerful enough to save those he cares most for and give them a better life. It's set in a world of hidden pasts and uncovering them will set him on a path that shakes the Empire. As this is a rewrite that took on a wildly different spin, reviews are most welcome and help me do better. What can the reader expect? A Wuxia society set in a High fantasy world. People are only doing what they know and may have mistaken beliefs. A clever resourceful protagonist with human flaws A far-reaching hidden fantasy world, rich in history. Multiple points of view are used to follow the story to its natural conclusions, not every NPC has all the answers, but there is one MC in this book. Progression will take time and sometimes even unknowingly. MC is not trained in the ways and knowledge must be tempered against experimentation. Release Schedule. 2 chapters a week, family and work permitting. Only if I'm happy with the chapter will I release it. That being said I am open to revision should an articulated critical response show merit. This story is not completed yet but I do have a general idea of what the end looks like for both MC's (yes both) Ultimately feedback will be most influential on the progression of release as it's you guys I'm looking to entertain. Expected Changes None really, I'm writing as I go and have a path planned for 6 books Chapter release rate might change if we take off and feedback starts flowing, but for now, it is just about making sure Arcs flow smoothly onto the next. Cover, yes absolutely! If there is enough interest I will open a Patreon account and use the first proceeds to commission an EPIC cover and hopefully a few scary artworks of our brave Cultivators and the foes they face.

Seize the Sky
A missed opportunity...A second Chance....Justin McClain, a poor web-developer, is killed on the night he means to propose. Instead of dying he finds himself reborn into a child's body in a strange and alien world. Will he repeat his past mistakes or will he use his knowledge and Seize the Sky?This is going to be my attempt at a Wuxia/Xianxia/Cultivation Novel. I've been reading a ton of Chinese web-novels recently and Couldn't resist trying to write my own. This story will contain lots of action and martial arts and will most likely make the MC pretty OP, but that's sorta the point of wuxia novels. This is also going to be focused on pokemon like animals and will be somewhat along the vein of Long Live Summons although less haremy. It will contain mature content although I have no idea how much. Also, this is a secondary project for me. I've already got a novel on here I don't update enough so I'm treating this as a side project. Be prepared for very sporadic updates.

~A Wattys and Fiction Award winner*A lion does not need an invitation from a lamb. That is not the way of the predator. Predators take what they want, when they want it, however they please. And this belief that I am, that evil is, enslaved by the dark night is humorous to say the least. Why would any creator make their pupil inept of withstanding the lighted world when this planet is covered in daylight for half of its life span? No, our Maker did not instill such restrictions for, up here on these earthly lands, we are the gods of prey. ~ Tristan There is only one rule vampires must follow--Bite Hard. It is forbidden for humans to know vampires exist so you can imagine Tristan Darkos's surprise when he finds one that knows what he is. He can tell by the tremble of her body, the thump-thump of her pulse, and her dilated pupils. He's going to have to finish what some other vampire started. The problem is when Tristan gets close to this human his blood turns to fire and the thirst that burns in his throat that should spell her doom twists until he's consumed by another need--one that is evocative, primitive, and...wrong.If Tristan doesn't figure out the mystery that is Kinley Shea Rylan, it is certain whatever dark force her honey blood is summoning forth will be the end of him and, possibly, the end of the world as we know it. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Author note: - This is an original work with my take on Vampires.
