《Tamer of Cosmic Beasts 》Chapter 30: Back to Chambers

Akash collected and put everything in his inventory before moving closer to the Omni Dragon. He looked at the long slender dragon and spoke.
"Father, I don't know why I cried for them, I merely knew them for a day. Is it because they sacrificed themselves for me?"
Omni Dragon looked into Akash Tagar's eyes and replied.
"No, it's because you inherited my blood inside the temple, that's one of its effects."
Akash's squinted his eyes.
"What kind of effect is that?"
"The effects of a real king. Benevolence, compassion, generosity and comity. A true king will walk on the aisle of altruism, he or she will do anything for the prosperity of their nation.
I was a king of such calibre, although my domain was snatched, and my people were killed. As long as there is a single breathing soul calling me their king, I will not bow down to anyone and will fight for the sake of that soul.
However, now that the last 10 remaining lords of mine are no longer alive, I can no longer call myself a king.
I had only two vulnerabilities, my wife and my people. During the war, with the help of Dawn and her tamers, we were overpowering the tamers of Red Bone Lion and Proud Sabretooth.
Every one of them was ready to take each other's lives and kill the enemy happily. Abyssal Raven saw this and predicted the crumbling of his plans which forced him to join the war with the others to defeat our army.
I have only ever cared about two things, my wife and my people. As you can see, I've now lost everything that gives my life meaning, the fire in my heart is nothing more than a dying ember now. Which is why I've passed down my kingly qualities to you, someone who's still young and full of vigor.
As a result, when the 10 Dragon Kings willingly sacrificed themselves to you, you subconsciously accepted them as your own subjects and felt their loyalty and determination. Thus, after you witnessed their death, you felt as if you had lost someone that had served you for countless ages"
Akash was still standing like a statue, not moving or blinking, focused solely on Omni Dragon's words.
Akash took two deep sighs, with a gap in between, after which he finally spoke again.
"Father, is there anything else I should know?"
Dargon answered with a smile.
"Yes, son, there are 3 things."
Akash stepped forward with determined eyes, waiting for the answer to reach his ears.
"Firstly, you'll receive 4 items in total. One of them is that golden cloak that you got, it's made from the law body of my wife, Dawn. The second will be a sword, made from my own scales and fangs.

Third would be a pair of gauntlets, manufactured from the bones and claws of Sabretooth. Lastly, a full body armour, created from the shell of Wise Turtle."
Akash eyes glittered.
"Father, when will I get them? Are they also of the Mythical Grade like the cloak?"
"You will get the Omni Sword when you've reached the 3rd Star realm. The gauntlets, when you've broken through into the 6th Star realm and the armour when you've stepped into the 10th Star realm. And no, they are not Mythical Grade weapons, they are more powerful than those, but to keep you from harming yourself, we've restricted their power to the Mythical Grade."
Akash didn't say anything and kept looking at Omni Dragon, with ever glittering eyes, showing no signs of calming down.
"Secondly, you must kill more and more beasts in the training grounds. Those grounds are not from this Turtle Cosmos."
Akash was startled.
"Are those grounds... from your fallen cosmoses?"
The dragon nodded.
"Yes, they took our cosmoses but weren't able to devour our body and dwelling. So, we still have access to our respective cosmoses. However, we don't have the manpower to reclaim them."
Akash threw out another question.
"Does Ancestor Turtle send beasts to other cosmoses? In order to destroy them, just like they did."
"Yes, but it's not enough to make a big difference, his forces only amount to a hundredth of theirs. Their cosmoses are far bigger than the Turtle Cosmos.
The one who has the biggest cosmos is, without a doubt, Witty Raven. He took my entire cosmos as his own and the 2nd biggest is ruled by Red Bone Lion, who took Sabretooth's cosmos.
The remaining 5 Primordial Beasts divided Dawn's cosmos amongst themselves. Only Wise Turtle didn't get anything because he tried to help us, thus opposing them."
"I see, thank you, father, for explaining all of this to me."
"Haha, you'll need to know at least this much, after all."
Akash felt that there was something that Omni Dragon was hesitating about. Soon, his feelings were proven right as Omni Dragon looked at Akash with some resignation before deciding to speak.
"Son... the 3rd thing is a request"
Akash was stunned. He was wondering why Omni Dragon was suddenly so hesitant and formal. Was the request overly dangerous? He replied with a straight face.
"Don't speak like that father, just tell me. If I cannot do it as your successor, then I will do it as your son."
Omni Dragon sighed.
"Just like I have you as my son, I also have a daughter, her name is Mary Blue. The war lasted for a millennium and during it, we picked and mixed the blood of various powerful races to produce chimeras.

After quite some time, a new race was born from two of these chimeras. They were unique and talented. So much so that they could even overpower the God Race of this cosmos and just like the beastfolk, they can even awaken their abilities and change to a more monstrous form.
I named their race the roohkhor. They were too powerful and because of this, almost all of them were killed and the rest were imprisoned.
There was a roohkhor girl that used to call me father instead of king. She is imprisoned on the Chitbhit planet. She and her husband are the only survivors of the roohkhor race, Abyssal Raven imprisoned them so they could give birth to more roohkhors for them to use in their future plans.
My request is to save both of them. However, I won't force you as they are highly guarded by chaotic elves. A rare kind of elf only found in Raven's cosmos."
Akash pondered for some time and replied.
"Don't worry, father, your daughter is also my sister. I will save her but... I cannot tell you when exactly."
Omni Dragon expressed happiness.
"It's okay, they won't kill them. Just make sure to not let them suffer longer than necessary, it already pains my heart to know of their current situation."
"Rest assured, father, I won't."
Omni Dragon smiled and opened his mouth from which a sky-blue rectangle gem came out.
"This is my Chaos Dwelling… With this, I bid you farewell."
Akash flew towards his mouth, grabbed the gem and touched the face of Omni Dragon. It was the first time he had touched a Primordial Beast. The Dragon King's body started to disintegrate and soon, Akash hand was filled with nothing but ash.
Akash didn't think much as he was overwhelmed with sorrow, but it was not the time to mourn. So, he gulped down the Chaos Dwelling gem and sat down to cultivate it.
~1 Month Later~
Akash opened his eyes as he felt the overflowing cosmic power flowing through him. He checked his inner world and there were 4 planets in total, including a star.
*beep*
[The King has completed his training, as such, he will be sent back to the Red Forest.]
In Red Forest, Akash was standing back where he was first teleported. As he looked here and there, he sensed a beast, running towards him at an extreme speed. Unlike before, Akash didn't budge at all, he was way more powerful than he was before. The beast jumped into the sky and landed in front of Akash.
~BOOM~
As it was growling, Akash came closer to it and smirked.
"It's been 3 years and 1 month, I missed so much, did you miss your father?"
The beast was none other than the God Demon Panda named Ponytail. He was now 3.3 meters tall, with a much longer ponytail. His body was fluffy and fat just like a panda's but his hands were identical to a monkey's, perfect for punching and holding the Golden Staff.
"I... missed you... too... father."
Akash was looking at Ponytail surprised.
"You... you can talk!"
Akash checked the realm of Ponytail and found out that he was at the 2nd Moon of the 5th Star realm. A normal beast would only start talking when it entered the realm of a Star Prince. Very few powerful bloodline beasts could speak when they reached the Star Knight realm. Yet, Ponytail was only at the 5th Star realm which defied expectations and common understanding of cosmic beasts.
"System, do you know how they trained Ponytail?"
[They trained him just like the King was trained but instead of blood and dwelling gems, God Demon Panda was fed with rare fruits.]
"I see… Haha, I am glad you can talk now."
Ponytail scratched his head, wondering what to say.
"Let's go back, Ponytail. I need a long rest."
Akash opened his new All-Devouring Dwelling, a bright golden light emitting from it. Ponytail looked at it.
"Woah!"
Akash burst into laughter.
"Haha, you know, your new height hasn't diminished your cuteness."
Panda shook his head.
"I am... not... cute... I am... fierce!"
Akash laughed again.
"Hahaha, aww, kuchi kuchi koo."
Akash was very happy to have his partner back. He couldn't resist teasing him. Ponytail, on the other hand, couldn't bear the embarrassment and jumped inside the dwelling.
Akash called the System.
"System, take me back to my chambers."
Akash turned his head, looked towards the thick woods and raised his voice to speak.
"Don't worry, I will take good care of him!"
His words echoed through the forest.
*beep*
With a flash, Akash teleported from the Red Forest. Far away in the Red Forest, two gigantic figures were standing. They were Richia and Bholo, the biological parents of Ponytail.
Richia said to Bholo while looking at the spot where Akash was.
"He is too powerful now, he sensed us so easily despite our attempt at hiding our presence."
Bholo replied.
"Yes, that lad has also become too cocky, he didn't even greet us."
"…Let's go back then."
Bholo looked at Richia and grinned ear to ear.
"Uhh, sweety! We have been training our son for 3 years without doing anything else. Haha, do you think it's time to do the hanky panky?"
Richia didn't answer and just walked away.
Bholo followed her with a flirty look.
"Uhh, honey."
"Is it a yes or no?"
"Heyy, say something."
"Pleeaaassee."

Decompose!
Dear diary. When you read stories about some people missing and returning after years of absence claiming they were living in another world, your first reaction is to scoff and dismiss a story as a tall tale, right? I know I did. All the time. Until it happened to me and I no longer did. That day was today. Some god of thunder smote me. If it were Chris Hemsworth, I wouldn't mind but it was some barbaric Hitite god that abaondned Earth some four millennia ago. Yes, what can I say? I love the seventh art. I have more hours watching movies than any other activity, including sleep. What? Do you think I'm exaggerating? Maybe I am. I'll really miss hollywood the most. And my biggest regret is that I never got to visit the holy city of cinema. I did not come to another world to be a hero even though there was hints that they hoped I'd save it. I did not come with overpowered abilities able to, dunno, leap tall castles in a single bound, faster than a speeding crossbow bolt, be more powerful than a eight-horse carriage, the bounds. No. After the asshole god that murdered me brought me to his world, he gave me some boons from his discount bin and "The Power of my Soul (tm)". Forgive my french, I hope you understand I am rather upset at dying. And he somehow decided that my power is to recycle stuff. How awesome is that? Not much at first, I must admit. At least I got all my camping stuff and equipment with me. There's no lycra in the other world. I'll make it someday, but that day is not today. So here I am. In another world, in the middle of nowhere. I'm no heroine. As the song goes, I'm your basic average girl. And I'm assumed to be here to save the world. But almost everything can stop me, because I'm not named Kim. Wish me luck, diary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This novel is going have the following features: slow-paced slice-of-life No GameLit / LitRPG elements. Movie references. Sandra likes the seventh art. Journal / diary style crafting (includes chemistry, engineering and metallurgy) low magic technological advancement (for Sandra, at least. She is not against sharing though) personal relations clash of perception between the modern and ancient customs. bits of tension, fighting, and plot here and there. I won't repeat myself though. Once she crafts a good batch of soap, for example, she'll just note, "I crafted soap again." Once it is estabilished how she obtains compound X, compound X2 that is obtainable from the same process will also just be mentioned. I'll try to be as realistic as I can with the crafting, chemistry, and technology. Cover: Public Domain Image by StockSnap from Pixabay. No attribution required but we do it anyway.

The Calculator - Supervillainess Time Loop
What makes a terrifying villain? Is it ruthlessness? Is it how powerful they are and how many buildings they can down in one blow? Is it how hard they are to kill, contain, or get rid of in any manner? Is it their knowledge of a hero’s true identity in a world where secrets must be kept? Or is it perhaps how they seem to be perfect in all their actions, defeating the hero at every step of the way throughout to the last one, only to humiliate them one last time before declaring themselves the winner in the grand scheme of things? Isabella Blair is perfect. She knows all your moves before you even make them. All your ambushes are faced with traps and she dodges all your blows like it’s child’s play. Catching her is impossible because she’s always ten steps ahead of you. She says she calculated everything, but she messes up in every fight. She loses far more than she wins, sometimes a hundred times for just one small victory. Yet, she is perfect. How is that possible, you may ask. That’s because she has the uncanny ability to return to the past whenever she makes a mistake. All that’s left in the end can only be what’s perfect if all the realities in which you’ve lost are gone, after all. And that makes for one hell of a terrifying profile. Crossposting on ScribbleHub, SpaceBattles, and Wattpad. Don't mind the "Pre-Rewrite" Volume. It is there for reference until the story catches up to the chapter count via the Rewrite (and to justify the current reviews as there would be no context to them otherwise). If you are a first-time reader, feel free to start from the other Volume.

Many Minded
Synopsis: Issa Pyxis, Spacer orphan and illegal heretic, graduated from living on the streets to running with a gang years ago, but now it looks like that’s all going to change. Her inheritance, more specifically who—or what—she is, is catching up with her, and on a planet with the Emperor’s inquisitors slinking around in every shadow, nowhere is safe and no one can be trusted. What will she do? A cyberpunk story about identity, loneliness, covert infiltration, evil dystopias, and much more! Features: - Cyborgs and cyberpunk galore - This is indented to be somewhat “rational” and “hard” Sci-Fi story - Original Fiction however parts of my worldbuilding are inspired by other Sci-Fi stories (duh) Rationale: The future is cool, AIs are kickass, and questions about consciousness are simultaneously existential and yet unanswered. To me, this story is a vehicle for exploring these topics, and also, I wanted to write a story where the protagonist was unafraid of themselves and where their self is more like a git-repo than a meat computer. Disclaimer: This story primarily takes place in what we’d describe as a “cyberpunk dystopia” with some extra technocracy, autocracy, and religious fervor thrown into the mix, so there will be some “grittiness” in this story. Caveat emptor. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character and other characters in my story can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way they view the world isn’t always objective truth (if such a thing even exists) nor do their views and opinions necessarily reflect the views of me, the author.
