《Tamer of Cosmic Beasts 》Chapter 66: Not Duke, I'm a King

Akash called Golden Panther and Red Mamba, who complied, and dismissed everyone else.
"I would like to thank you for your efforts on this palace."
Akash told Golden Panther.
"It's just a small gift for you, Duke Akash."
The panther responded.
"Tell me the conditions you were talking about earlier, if you're fine with speaking in front of Mamba."
Akash cut to the chase.
"No, it's okay, I only have one condition, duke, just one."
Akash interest was piqued as he nodded before the panther carried on.
"I want to be second in charge, this is the only condition I have."
"And why should I do that?"
Akash asked majestically.
"I know how to rule, so I will be your greatest vassal here. I left my former kingdom simply because they couldn't see my abilities, which broke me to a point where I had no other choice than to leave them. Then, I joined hands with Red Mamba and conquered a dukedom, Red Mamba saw my leading abilities and handed me the position of Duke.
Unfortunately, my fire was already burnt out at that point, I am no longer meant to be a leader. I'd rather be the right hand of a powerful leader. In my previous home, I tried my all to show the king my abilities. Yet, the others never wanted me to take their places, they schemed against me and the king stripped me of my powers. When Mamba told me about you and your strength, about how you, a 1st Star tamer, defeated a Star Prince tamer, the embers in my heart were reignited once again. Hearing about your healing abilities only bolstered my resolve.
I only hope that you will live up to my expectations. If you do, I can guarantee you that I and Mamba together can accomplish tremendous feats, he is a brave warrior while I am a tactician. That is all, thank you for listening."

Akash silently looked at him before tilting his eyes towards Red Mamba.
"Do you have anything to say as well, concerning your friend?"
"All that he said was true but he omitted one thing."
Mamba added which only furthered Akash's interest.
"Oh, and what is that?"
Mamba looked at the panther with a side-eye before speaking
.
"He is not only good at politics and tactics, he is also a tremendous fighter. He dueled the previous duke and defeated him, who was as powerful as me."
"I can guess that much by looking at his profile."
Akash replied.
"What profile?"
Golden Panther asked in confusion.
"It's just my way of calculating someone's abilities."
Akash dodged the question and floated in the air before continuing.
"Can you guess why I didn't let either of you two be contracted or why I said I had different things in mind for you?"
Both looked at each other and shook their heads.
"We don't know, duke."
"It's because both of you will be dukes from now on while I..."
Akash floated above the beasts and proclaimed while looking at them from above.
"I will be a king. From this moment onwards, this will no longer be a dukedom but instead a kingdom, V-Valley Kingdom."
Golden Panther's heart skipped a beat while Red Mamba's eyes almost popped out.
"Duke... what are you doing? You are unaware of the consequences of these actions!"
Mamba exclaimed.
"I'm not afraid of any consequences, you can choose a different king to serve if you afraid of them though."
"Once you claim our lands as a new kingdom, all the surrounding dukedoms will avoid you but... the other kingdoms will wage an all-out war against us. Do you still want to do this regardless?

Golden Panther elaborated before asking.
"Yes, without any doubt. If 300 of my force can face 10,000 of Red Mamba's army, then we can do this too. All we need to do is raise the number of tamers and beasts who can revive."
Akash calmly replied.
"Will it really be that easy?"
Panther questioned.
"It's not a matter of difficulty, rather it simply depends on the number of people who will follow me."
The new king answered.
"I... I'm still not convinced but since you've accepted my condition, I'll follow you unconditionally as promised."
Panther declared.
"Well, I am already your follower, so not much else I can say."
Red Mamba spoke right after. Then, Akash explained.
"We have two dukedoms under our control, this V-Valley dukedom will be under my rule only, serving as the headquarters. The other dukedom will be ruled by the both of you until we conquer a 3rd dukedom, then each of you can have your own. In the meantime, you should go there now, I will be making an announcement about your new positions soon."
"As you wish, King Akash."
Both bowed and replied in the same manner before vanishing in seconds. After which, Akash landed on the giant wall of his incomplete palace, looking at the mass of people from above and taking in a breath of cold air.
"I'm finally beginning to build an invincible army, ancestors. Soon, my claws will reach the necks of your enemies."
Akash closed his eyes and envisioned his old Fairy Planet and dead colleagues. He remembered the cruelty of those oppressors and gritted his teeth.
"And my enemies as well."
Akash glanced at his fists.
"First, I have to break through to the 2nd Star realm."
Akash recalled the ingredients needed for the 1st Stage of the 'Tyrannical Body of The Gods'.
"Blood Drops of a Mystic Unicorn, Seeds of an Undead Tree and Venom of a Purple-Striped Scorpion."
Akash squinted his eyes and murmured.
"What in the holy cosmos are these?".
Akash had never heard of these beasts before, he quickly called forth the System.
"System, where can I get these things?"
*beep*
[ All these beasts can be found on this Carnage Prison Planet.]
Akash asked again.
"Which one is closest to me?"
[Mystic Unicorn is the closest, it is currently helping with the construction of the palace.]
Akash eyes widened.
"That unicorn! I never opened its profile. Who thought that unicorn could be such a treasure for me!"
