《Me! Zombie! Summoned to Another World!》Chapter 22: Mountain Goblins, Obtained Magic Crystal Stones

Before I reached the Stone Mountain, I jumped off the knight king's body.
This was because the Stone Mountain had a smooth path whether it was at the foot of the mountain or on the top. There was no shelter.
If I got too close, I would be injured by accident.
You should know that I had just witnessed the mountain Goblin's ability to throw stones.
From a distance of 70 to 80 meters, he was still looking straight at the sky from the ground.
A single rock had killed an eagle.
It was accurate, fast, and powerful.
If I was beside him and accidentally got hit, I would definitely have broken at least one of my bones.
In the forest dozens of meters away from Stone Mountain, I randomly found a tree.
I hid behind the tree.
Then, I commanded the Knight King to go forward and get rid of all the mountain goblins on Stone Mountain.
"Tap... tap..."
The Knight King held his mace and walked slowly towards Stone Mountain with heavy steps.
After all, the Knight King was a heavy-armored warrior who weighed several tons, so he would definitely make a lot of noise when he walked.
In a short while, he was discovered by the mountain goblin on Stone Mountain.
The goblin picked up a stone and threw it at the knight king without even aiming.
"Hu --"
"Bang --"
The stone brought up a gust of wind and smashed heavily onto the knight King's body.
However, it did not cause any damage to the knight king.
"Ah... ah... Ah --"
Seeing that the knight king was still approaching without any signs of being injured or stopping, that mountain goblin immediately started shouting.
Just as I was surprised that this goblin didn't choose to continue attacking, instead, it started shouting.
The originally empty Stone Mountain had changed.
One earth gray head after another started appearing.
"One... fifteen... ninety-eight..."
In the blink of an eye, the entire stone mountain was filled with mountain goblins. I gave up on counting the number of goblins.
From a rough look, there were at least five thousand goblins on this mountain.
I wasn't even sure if there were any other mountain goblins in the mountain.
After all, this stone mountain was only so big, and there weren't many places to stay.
Mountain goblins were a species that lived within the mountain itself.
It was hard to say if there was a hole at the bottom of the mountain or if there were any other goblins in the hole.

However, that mountain goblin didn't cause any harm to the knight king, and I did see it.
So, I didn't call the Knight King back just because the total number of goblins was extremely high. After all, the Knight King was a true heavy-armored knight, and he was also an undead.
An undead that knew no fatigue.
These two conditions added together meant that the number of enemies was never a problem for the knight king unless he encountered an enemy that could break through the knight King's solid defense.
Mountain Goblins were not qualified.
The Knight King walked to the front of the Stone Mountain and raised his weapon.
He was ready to charge forward.
When the goblins on the mountain saw the Knight King raise his weapon, they all started to pick up the stones around them.
"Hu --"
"Hu --"
"..."
A stone brought with it the sound of the wind. The number of goblins on the Stone Mountain was the same as the number of gushing wind sounds.
It covered the sky and earth. The sky was filled with stones, and they flew towards the knight king at a high speed.
I stood behind the tree. When I saw so many stones, my scalp went numb.
It was as if a rain of stones had fallen from the sky.
Even the archers in ancient times could only shoot arrows like this.
"PFFT --"
"PFFT --"
The Knight King continued to move forward despite the rain of rocks. However, it seemed that he wouldn't be able to charge forward at full speed.
Just like that, one side threw rocks from the Stone Mountain while the other side kept moving forward against the tirade of ocks
Both sides were in a stalemate.
Just like that, after nearly ten minutes, the knight King finally finished walking the fifty-meter distance.
He arrived in front of the mountain goblins.
He raised the mace in his hand and threw it at the mountain goblin closest to him.
"PFFT..."
Just like hitting a tomato with a baseball bat, the mountain Goblin's head was smashed into pieces on the spot.
Red, white, yellow, green...
Several colors flew out in all directions.
The boblin who was hit didn't even make a sound and died on the spot.
As if he smelled blood and death, the Knight King's heart started to get excited again, and his hands started to move faster.

"Hu --"
"Hu --"
The mace waved in the air, bringing with it the sound of the wind.
Different from mountain goblins smashing rocks, the sound of the wind brought by the mace would also take the life of a mountain goblin.
It was like a naughty child holding a baseball bat and walking into a watermelon field.
Every time the baseball bat was waved, it meant that at least one watermelon had been smashed.
Sometimes, 'naughty children' would even go out of their way to whip two to three watermelons at a time for the sake of excitement.
Just like that, 'naughty children' would destroy a pile of watermelons every time they walked through a field of watermelons.
The Knight King was in a similar situation now. Using the mace to hit the mountain goblin heads was like hitting watermelons.
Everywhere he went, the ground would turn red and white.
Just like that, the knight King soon defeated one-thirds of the approximately 5000 group of mountain goblins.
In less than half an hour, the mountain goblin casualties numbered around 2,000.
From the looks of it, in less than an hour, the knight King would be able to eliminate all the mountain goblins.
Just as I was thinking that I would be able to obtain the magic crystal stones soon, something unexpected happened.
"Roar --"
"Roar --"
A few coarse roars suddenly sounded from within the Stone Mountain.
It was as if some ferocious beast was about to come out.
When the mountain goblins heard this sound, they all chose to stop. They looked at the Knight King, who was covered in red and white, before turning around and leaving.
The Knight King also stopped and looked at a crack on the Stone Mountain.
"Bong --"
"Bong --"
Soon, a few large mountain goblins walked out from the crack.
Compared to the mountain goblins who were as big as ordinary macaques, these few who just walked out were at least mountain gorillas.
Mountain goblin elites!
Just like the night goblin, this was a species that would only appear when the goblin population reached a certain level.
Coincidentally, the mountain goblin elites that had just happened used the same weapon as the Knight King, the mace.
Furthermore, each goblin elite carried a bamboo basket on their back.
Just as I was wondering why they were carrying baskets on their backs. The baskets behind them moved.
Then, a gray head popped out.
An ordinary mountain goblin? !
A bigger question arose in my mind.
It wasn't until the goblins in the baskets revealed themselves that I knew they weren't ordinary mountain goblins.
The arms of the goblins in the baskets were at least twice as thick as those of ordinary mountain goblins.
The weapon in his hand was also different from the ordinary goblins. It was a type of green stone.
Just as the Knight King was about to rush forward and kill these fellows that had suddenly appeared, the goblin threw the green stone in its hand at the knight king
"Hu --"
This time, the sound of the stone bringing up the wind was even more crisp. Compared to the attack just now, it was even faster.
"Clang --"
The stone hit the mace, making a metallic sound.
"Hu --"
"Hu --"
Following that, more green stones attacked and almost every stone hit the knight King's body.
"Pu --"
Even though I was standing in the forest dozens of meters away, I could hear that the sound of the stone hitting the knight King was obviously different.
Moreover, I seemed to see that the knight King's body was beginning to show signs of damage.
I didn't want to lose the only undead that I could use to fight right now.
I silently ordered the Knight King to return as soon as possible.
It was difficult to charge forward, but it was easy to return.
In just a few seconds, the knight king had crossed the dozens of meters and returned to my side.
I carefully examined the Knight King's body.
As expected, there was obvious damage to its body.
I then looked at the mace in its hand.
There was an obvious dent.
I originally thought that collecting magic crystal stones this time would be the easiest mission, but I didn't expect to run into such a thing.
The mountain goblin elite was too powerful.
And there were so many of them. If there was only one, I would be able to fight it out.
But there were at least five or six of them here...
Forget it, this gathering of materials was a failure.
Just as I was about to turn around and leave, I suddenly remembered a scene.
Those mountain goblin elites were holding green stones that were used to smash the Knight King. They seemed to be magic crystal stones? !

Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!

Understanding a cultivation world
A modern man armed with having read a few novels about cultivation is suddenly transmigrated to a cultivation world. He fights to both survive and thrive in this new archaic world full of arrogant young masters, demonic sects, and incredibly hostile wildlife. Note: In this story, I wanted to focus a lot more on what most novels skim past in regards to cultivation, namely the whole, spiritual growth aspect that seems to be entirely absent from the prosses of obtaining enlightenment the majority of the time, but the method of gaining cultivation. how it works, and what kind of world would develop around it are all things I wish to explore in this novel.

Liana in between Worlds
17 year old Liana is not as surprised as most people would be when she meets Inaya, coming from another world searching for a mysterious danger that could be disastrous for both worlds. She's always seen things others could not see, and she often finds it easier to befriend strange creatures from dreamworlds than her classmates. But now she's involved in a possible plot to eradicate our whole species, which makes her travel through a dead alien city and the oak wood of the Nummerfa who believe that our species are dangerous demons from hell, and other places in several different worlds. All she actually wanted was read her Tolkien book, or sit and watch the stars without being bothered by the existential problems of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. And how is she going to even explain her absence at school? 'Liana in Between Words' is a weird genre-defying mix of portal fantasy and scifi in a tale of friendship, loneliness, and the role of humans in the multiverse. This one contains absolutely no romance and no serious trigger warnings for sex, excessive violence, bad words or heavily traumatising content if you can handle the idea that there are people somewhere who think -maybe not completely without reason- that our species are destructive demons that should be eradicated.
