《My Unconventional Delivery System! 》Chapter 112: Alciel

"Oh, it's...that white-blonde hair friend of yours, he said that had something to discuss with you," Mayumi said.
(A/N : Kisaki Mayumi, manager of MgRonald.)
"Ah, that's Ashiya, I'll be going manager."
"I'll come along with you!" As he was about to follow Sadao, suddenly Mayumi grabbed his shoulder.
"Wait a minute, young man " She glared at him.
"Y-yes Kisaki-san?" Even though he's pretty strong now, for some reason he is still afraid of Mayumi's glare, he guessed that her glare somewhat gave him a bit of trauma, no matter how strong he became there are just some things that don't change.
To a person like him who doesn't even flinch even if he is surrounded by millions of soldiers, but oddly he is afraid of an ordinary woman's glare!
"Sigh~ let me tell you something, I don't know or how did you connect a relationship with my boss daughter, but even so you shouldn't take our job lightly, a few days ago you took a leave without a notice, normally you would have been fired but thanks to my boss daughter you have avoided getting fired, listen here just because you have some connections from above that doesn't make you different from the rest of us, and if I ever see you half-ass your job, I will personally file a complaint to fire you got that?!" Mayumi looked at him seriously, although she said that she doesn't mean it. Mayumi hopes that at least with this, Kyle wouldn't become a bad employee.
Because she saw many employees that had some connection with the higher-ups, they were doing their job terribly, it was like they were freeloading rather than working, she didn't want him to become like that, hopefully, her little threat works at least.
Listening to Mayumi's threat, he wasn't a bit afraid, if it was before he bounded with the system he might be afraid, but presently he wasn't, the main reason why he didn't quit is that he finds this job fun and satisfying, another reason it's also because of his only male best friend Sadao.

He also noticed that Mayumi's tone was off when she said that threat, rather than being angry her voice contained worry, shortly he came to realize that she did it for him, as she doesn't want him to become a bad employee.
Kyle smiled at her and replied. "Kisaki-san, don't worry I won't do that you can rest assured."
Mayumi was a bit surprised, but quickly she said. "You promise?
"Yeah, I promise." He nodded.
"Alright then, I'll remember this and if you ever break this, I'll seriously file a complaint and fire you!" Mayumi's serious expression makes it believable, if any other employee were to experience this they would believe her threat, however, Kyle was an exception.
"Yes, so that's why I'm not going to half-ass my job!"
"Good, now you can go." Mayumi finally stopped gripping his shoulder and let go.
"Thank you." Kyle immediately followed Sadao, to meet Ashiya.
---
In the guest room, Kyle saw Alciel aka Ashiya talking with Sadao, as for their topic it was about magic, Alciel claimed that he might have found a way to recover their magic which's why he rushed looking for his king to announce the great news that he bought.
Learning this news, Sadao became excited if this could be solved, he would…..wait what he is going to do with magic again?
Sadao's excitement quickly turned into confusion, honestly, the current him had no idea what should he do with his magic if he somewhat recovered it, going back to the Ente Isla and conquering it? Nope, he wasn't interested in playing as the Demon King anymore, because if he were to compare his life here and there, he would say that this place is a lot of times better than his life back in Ente Isla.
He was currently living an honest and happy life, suddenly changing back to his former life doesn't seem right.

Kyle was lucky enough to see the confusion of Sadao before it disappeared, he wondered why did Sadao make such an expression shouldn't he suppose to be happy that Alciel found something that may recover their magic?
Although he had some guesses, in the end, it's just a guess, unless he asked Sadao himself he wouldn't know why.
However, Alciel didn't notice Sadao's quick change of expression, so he excitedly continued. "My liege! This is our chance of recovering our magic! About a few hours ago when I was about to go to the library searching for a way to recover our magic, in the street I saw a girl using magic! Although she tried to hide it, there is no way she could hide it from me! The reason why she used magic in the first place is that she saved a cat that was about to be hit by a car, because of that I have sensed her using magic."
Sadao was silent for a moment before saying. "Where is the girl?"
Hearing that from his king, he smiled smugly and replied. "Since she's probably our only lead of recovering our magic, I neglected everything and focused on secretly following her! As a result, I got to know her house address, my liege. We should make a move right now!"
Listening to Alciel, Kyle was speechless, he was really surprised that this guy didn't get arrested! What Alciel just did was stalking and that is an undeniable fact!
He thought. 'Is he an expert of hiding? Or he just got lucky that no one reported him stalking?'
He looked at Ashiya and he realized something, the guy didn't seem to notice that he was here listening to their conversation, he decided to say something so that Ashiya would notice his presence.
"Ahem- is it okay for me to hear this conversation?"
Hearing his voice, Ashiya almost jumped out of his seat, he instantly shifted his gaze into Kyle, he yelled. "You! Who are you?!"
Ashiya was ready to use the little magic that he saved for emergency purposes, Sadao noticed that his general was about to attack Kyle with magic, he immediately stopped him. "Alciel! Don't attack him, he's a friend, it's okay for him to know about this."
"A friend?" Alciel looked suspiciously at him.
Sadao nodded and said. "That's right."
"....If that's what you wish for my liege, I will follow." Alciel canceled casting his magic.
"Good, sigh* Alciel to be honest, the reason why I stopped you is to prevent yourself from getting hurt because with your current state you couldn't beat him..no even if I am in my peak condition I'm not sure if I can even beat him." Sadao peeked at him while smiling wryly.
"Nah, dude you're overestimating me."
"No, you're just being humble."
Alciel eyes widened as he heard his king, claiming that he couldn't beat this seemingly ordinary human even at his peak state!
Naturally, he didn't doubt his king's words at all, that's how loyal he is to him, however, that is that problem if his king said that, he thought. 'Just who is this friend of my king?!'
Ignoring Sadao for a moment, he looked at Alciel and said. "Can you tell me that girl's address?"

City of Champions Online
Having found the tragic truth that an art degree is worth less than the paper it is printed on, Jacquelyn Jones is frustrated with her dead end work as a graphic designer for a marketing firm, finding new ways to try and convince people that this week's 50 cent off sale is actually worth driving to the store. She's tried other VRMMORPGs, but they've all been fantasy-based, with a couple sci-fi games thrown in. But she wants something more, something Super. Superhero VRMMOs have had a... subpar reception in the past, in part due to the fact that the nature of most MMOs makes for fairly unheroic tales. After the couple hundredth time blasting the same group of mooks from the same faction on the same street corner of the same city, using the same powerset as everyone else because you only have a few options, it is hard to think of yourself as a hero anymore. But then she heard about City of Champions Online. For the first time, a developer partnered with a tabletop RPG maker to use their system to create a VRMMORPG, and it was one of the systems designed to be used with superhero games! And despite the name, there was no getting stuck in the same city as all the other players. The game world was a detailed replica of the real world, down to having some of the same shops and restaurants in town. She could be whoever she wanted, whatever she wanted. Now, she just has to find a way to become the heroine she's always wanted to be.

Clarent Saga: Chronicles
Based on my work on Saga of the Jewels, I've been hired by an indie game developer to write the novel for their 'novel + turn-based battles' game which is in Early Access on Steam. Of course, a 'novel + turn based battles' is a terrible idea for a game, which is why no other games like this exist, but hey, the developer is paying me. And if something's worth doing at all, it's worth doing as well as possible, so I am going to give this project my very best shot and try to make it as good as it can be. So if you read this, please give me feedback on the story to help me make it as good as it can be! Please note, for this story I have been given a pre-existent set of characters, character back-story sketches and a rough plot to work with. I also have to insert random battles into the narrative, have set characters appear in a certain order, and have the party fight fixed bosses in a certain order, all at fixed points! Please also note that this is a first draft. I will be editing and re-working this in the future and re-posting it. But I need helpful feedback, if anyone can give it. You can also find the game version of this on Steam by searching there for 'Clarent Saga: Chronicles'.
