Kyle didn't know what to say, after he finished patting Elma's head, then he thought. 'Did she eat something strange today? She wouldn't act like this, even though she didn't have her memories now, there is no way she would act spoiled like what she did right now! Unless she wanted something from me..'

And he guessed it right, Elma did want something from him, she spoke.

"Umm...K-kyle can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what is it?" He nodded.

"I want to work! B-but I don't know how to get one, so I want you to help me find one!"

Kyle was a bit surprised by this, he didn't think that she wanted to work? He thought. 'With this, she's already better than those freeloaders at home since she wanted to work, let's see...oh I know.'

"Okay sure, I'll help you get a job."

Hearing his answer, Elma's eyes brighten and she smiled and said,

"Th-thank you very much!"

"Sheesh, you don't need to, also the job that I'll help you get is related to me."

"Related to you? How?"

"It's because I'm currently working there so you're going to be my co-worker."

"A-ah! So I'm going to work with you?"

Kyle was shaking his head after hearing them, then he answered both of them.

"Rin, you should go to school first rather than working first, you don't know much about this world and school is a perfect place for you to learn anything about this world, and about you Kanna...your appearance is too young and more importantly your still an elementary student, no one would accept you, so Kanna only after you grow up then I will consider making you work."

Rin was a bit disappointed because she couldn't work with the person she loved but, she understood that education was necessary so she just nodded and accepted Kyle's words, and then here we have Kanna, she pouted because she couldn't work, right now she was angry at her appearance, she hoped that she was a bit more mature, but no matter what she couldn't do anything.

Looking at Kanna's current expression, Kyle thought that it was adorable, either way, he couldn't do anything about her appearance...no actually he could make her appearance an adult but only temporary, but the problem is her mentality, no matter how mature she looks it's useless went her mentality is that of a child.

He was powerless in this matter, but he had a feeling that Lucoa can do both, however, he would rather not ask about it, since he wanted Kanna to grow naturally, and not by some sort of magic.

After that, Kyle went to his room so that he could get changed, however before he could get inside his room, he saw Esdeath waiting for him right next to his door, she already has long noticed his presence, then Kyle approached her and asked,

"Is there anything you need?" Kyle asked her.

"Yeah, I do need something dear." Esdeath smiled at him.

"Alright let's hear it."

"Then, I'll get straight to the point, I want to work too. I heard your conversation a while ago, and it made me realize that I haven't contributed anything to this house right? So I want to work so that I won't become useless."

Kyle shook his head and grabbed Esdeath's waist and said.

"You're not useless, only idiots would call you simply having you in this house is already a good thing, with you it's like having a million army guarding our house.

"...While that might be true, that dragon..no Tohru just by having her in this house is like having an army that could destroy worlds, so you don't need to flatter me with words, I know and I admit she's better than me in strength and that is only true for strength, however, I'm one step ahead with her in my relationship with you and I take pride with that."

Kyle couldn't help but smile wryly hearing this, then he replied.

"Alright, I get it, okay but for now I won't allow you to work."

"Why?"

"I'm pretty sure that you know what I mean, but you want to hear me saying it huh? Fine then, it's because I don't want anything bad to my child that is growing inside you. I might not be the best father in the world but I'm at least responsible. I don't want anything bad to happen to my first child, so even If you want to work, don't because I won't allow it after you successfully give birth then only then you can do whatever work you want."

Esdeath closed her eyes and replied. "Sweet, but you're too overprotective. I'm not foolish enough to do reckless things while bearing our child. I know how to hold back, this is also my first child and I'm going to be its mother, so I naturally treasure my first child."

"Even, so I won't allow it."

"So you want me to be upset?"

"If that's what it takes to stop you then, yes."

"You know what you're doing isn't protecting, but manipulating."

"No, it's not."

"Yes, it is."

Both of them stared at each other with silence, after a moment Kyle gritted his teeth and sigh.

"Fuck, fine do what you want just promise me.."

Esdeath touched both of his cheeks, and then kissed him into the lips and said.

"I know, you don't need to worry about it."

Kyle doesn't know how to be a good husband to his wife, since this was the first time he had a child, he thought that he had to keep them safe, so he didn't want Esdeath to do something that tires her, even though he is aware that tiring her is almost next to impossible to happen, he may just too overprotective.

"So? What kind of job do you want?"

"I want to sign up for JSDF."

"....On second thought, can I take back my words?"

"No." Esdeath grinned at him.
