Of course, Lin Xiao would never admit of he himself as a troublemaker.
"I'm done."
Lin Yun was the first to be over. When he was showed the result, he simply nodded because he was confident that he could get all right. Even if one or two were wrong, he didn't care in the slightest bit. And the result in front of him showed that his result was good with no mistake.
After he was certain of that result, Lin Yun simply focused his attention back to the medicine he was making. He had no intention to fail in the second round, so he focused his entire attention to the cauldron.
It didn't take a long time for him to finish the medicine.
While the people around him were still making ruckus because of their first result, he just swiftly finished the second round. Calmly, he opened the cauldron and let the middle aged man to see the beautiful pill inside.
The middle aged man nodded. "Pass. Your written test?"
"Here."
Looking at the score, the middle aged man then passed a badge to Lin Yun. "Congratulation, from now on, you're part of Alchemist Association."
"Thank you."
Lin Yun took the badge and kept it in his pocket. It was only the lowest qualification for Alchemist in Alchemist Association, but for someone like him, it was already more than enough. He had no intention to focus on this association and just treat it as a method to be able to buy cheaper herbs.
After he was done, Wenren Yu also followed suit. After staying with Lin Xiao for a long time, if he still couldn't make medicine under unfavorable condition, his training would be a joke.
"Congratulation."
Wenren Yu and Lin Yun looked at each other and smiled bitterly when they saw the middle aged man looked at them with appreciation. Many people needed quite environment so that they would be able to focus but these two could do it even though the others were still complaining.

"May I know the areas that I can access in Alchemist Association?" Wenren Yu asked politely.
"Yes, with this badge, you can enter the shop to buy the herbs at 10 percent discount. There's also special room where you can make medicine but you need to pay 1 gold per hour."
Wenren Yu nodded. It was expensive, but there was no way there would be anything free in this world. Most rich people would have their own room in their home, so they didn't need one here. Because of that, the room in the association was usually empty.
"Can I bring my friend there to watch?"
"Yes, there's no restriction."
"Thank you."
Lin Xiao joined the other two and looked at Wenren Yu in confusion. "What's your plan now?"
"Buying some herbs. I need to decoct medicine for your brother and also create some Qi Gathering Pill," Wenren Yu replied. "Do you have any other request for me to make?"
"Eh?" Lin Xiao scratched the back of his head. Even though it has been some time, it was hard for him to see Wenren Yu as his subordinate. However, Elder Wang, Wang Jun, had told him that he had to do so because even a leader couldn't put himself at the same rank as his subordinates forever.
Thanks to that advice, Lin Xiao was also struggling to make sure that he behaved properly. So far, it was still quite a failure.
"I guess no?"
"Poison?"
"…you can make poison?"
Wenren Yu nodded. Medicine and poison were closely related to each other. Medicine at wrong dose and wrong diagnose can act as poison and vice versa. There were even poisons that could be used to cure other people.
Now, Lin Xiao was intrigued. If he could use poison, that would enhance his chance to survive when facing against someone who was stronger than him. Of course, there was also the perquisite that he had to be able to react as fast as the opponent attacked him or there was chance that he might die in just one attack.

"Any poison that can paralyze?"
"Yes."
"Then, can you make one?"
"One?"
"One bottle."
"Sure." Wenren Yu smiled. He was thinking that Lin Xiao might be hesitating because he didn't want to use underhanded methods. It seemed like he was thinking too much. For someone who had been living under severe condition in the village, he also knew what was appropriate.
"Me too."
"You can make yourself."
Lin Yun rolled his eyes. "In that case, just teach me."
"Got it."
Wenren Yu headed to the store and used the golds that they have to buy the herbs. Looking at the price, Lin Xiao took a deep breath. It seemed like the most profitable occupation was also the one that burn the pocket the most.
While medicine was expensive, the herbs were also very much so. If they failed numerous times, the price of the herbs might even create a big hole on their pocket.
Lin Xiao didn't have any interest to watch Wenren Yu making the poison and they also don't want to use the training room here, so they departed and settled in the nearby inn. The inn was much cheaper and they could stay for the night.
Of course, they book three rooms since both Wenren Yu and Lin Yun wanted to concoct medicine while Lin Xiao wanted nothing more than sleeping. They still have a long list of things to do in this city, so rest was also very important.
…
Morning.
Lin Xiao opened the door and looked at the mess that Wenren Yu had made. For the first time in his life, he felt that the mess was much more than what he usually made in his home back then. Wenren Yu himself also looked like a mess with his body covered in ash and some other liquids that Lin Xiao unable to identify.
"Can you explain what is this?"
"Uh, just some problem."

Tale of the mage hero [Completed]
so I've been into rising of the shield hero for a while now... a lot of things about it ALWAYS bugged me starting with the fact that the world functions like a game and the heroes are supposed to fight together in a party.... BUT WHERE'S THE ARCHMAGE?! THE BLATANT DISRESPECT TO THE MAGE CLASS IS REAL AND ANGERING! so I decided as a gamer who rather enjoys being a mage and healer, I'd rectify that. and other things. for all intents and purposes this is a self insert but I will be using my proxy OC that I use in my nutty fangirl daydreams. DON'T WORRY! I'M NERFING MY PROXY! this will follow the plot of the anime because..... I want to. and I'm..... LAZY~! and using the manga is too much trouble and the light novel is 800+ chapters long. So FUCK THAT! anyways if you read this and think it's lackluster then I want to see you try your hand at writing tate no yuusha fics! no that's not a challenge or insult it's just a desperate plea for more tate fics... we need some more variety! Alright I'm gonna be honest here. This story is laughably bad. So read at your own risk. The only reason I'm not revising it is because 1 I'm Lazy as fuck and 2 to serve as a lesson on what NOT to do for new writers. So like I said, read at your own risk.
