《Rise of the Great Emperor 》Chapter 186: Return Back

"Hmm?" Lin Xiao inspected his body and smiled.
Previously, Lin Xiao didn't even know the dragon power inside his body and naturally didn't know what he could actually do with it. But after the assistance of the picture and the revelation shown to him, he understood that the dragon power could be said to be the power that was fused within his soul.
The dragon power was slowly mixing with his blood and strengthen his body. However, the main use of the dragon power was to grant them power in the area that they decided on their own.
Just like how Prince Lin San decided to use it for his eyes to see the truth, Lin Xiao could pick what he wanted to do with his dragon power. Once he decided, he would have to train it and practiced so that he could get used with his dragon power.
"I want to use it to strengthen my legs. While I have a lot of offense skill and defense skill, the most important is to be able to run away. After all, the most important thing is to survive," Lin Xiao replied.
Lin Hu was stunned then nodded. For someone without much background like Lin Xiao, it was always danger everywhere and with no backing, Lin Xiao had to rely on himself. To be able to survive would be the most important thing because anything could happen in the future as long as he was still alive.
That was the most important thing.
"You're not wrong, but please don't do it here."
"Ah?"
"It'll take a long time and your friends are waiting. You've been here for 3 hours."
Lin Xiao's face changed. He was staring at the picture all this time and didn't realize that time had passed so quickly. The others must be worried because he didn't appear all this time.

"Let's go."
No longer waiting for more things to happen, Lin Xiao quietly slipped away from the room. He glanced at the lake picture, feeling a bit apprehensive and longing. Unfortunately, he couldn't stay here any longer, so he would just look at the picture again sometime in the future.
Swish!
With agile movement, Lin Xiao rushed over to the wall and leapt over. At this time, he had not realized that his control over his power had increased. While his overall power didn't increase because he had increased his physical ability so much due to the medicine, his control had increased.
He was no longer awkward when controlling his immense power and could use it seamlessly as if he had always that much power in the first place.
Lin Xiao landed outside and glanced around. He could see that there were some traces of fight on the street, but there was no one over there. Scanning his surroundings, Lin Xiao slowly made his way out of the street and headed to the main street. It was then he noticed three people sitting near a food stall that was still open while eating some meat skewer.
"Oh, you're back?" Lin Yun's eyes lit up. It was already 9 PM and by this time, they might be scolded when they returned back to the academy. There was no rules that stated they have to return back earlier, but for new students, they might not be allowed to stay outside.
The guards didn't really say anything.
Lin Xiao nodded. "Sorry to make you wait for long. Let's go back."
"Ok."
They all stood up and left. Since they had already paid for the meal, there was nothing that they needed to do anymore to worry about and could return back swiftly. Thankfully, as cultivators they had excellent memory and could remember the way they came back or they would have lost in the journey when they wanted to return back.

"We're back." Lin Xiao looked at the gate then at the guard standing there. He quickly took out the token and walked over, hoping that they wouldn't be mad for them to come back so late.
The guard glanced at them and arched his eyebrows. "I thought you're not going to return back tonight."
"Ah well, we got a bit lost after spending the day in the capital city," Lin Xiao lied while acting as if he was embarrassed.
The others also smiled sheepishly as if they got caught doing something bad. Looking at their action, the guard shook his head and took their token back before opening the door.
"Don't worry, while its stated that you have 7 free days, it's actually for the old students to visit their family too. You can actually stay outside if you want but it'll be better for new students to stay in the academy since most of you are too weak."
Lin Xiao couldn't refute that.
While he knew that he was already quite powerful amongst his peers, he was still nothing if he compared himself to those who had cultivated for decades. Many of those who were older than him were much more powerful, so he had to work hard if he wanted to catch up.
That wouldn't be easy.
"Many thanks for the reminder."
"Go and rest. You only have six more days to freely enjoy your time."
They gave their thanks and bid their farewell. Entering the academy, now they could easily return back to their own residence since they have already traveled for quite some time back in the morning.
"I'm going to return back to rest. What about you?"
"Cultivating inside my room," Sui Wenyan replied. She might agree to follow Lin Xiao, but it didn't mean that she could neglect her own cultivation. Her goal was to become even more powerful, so obviously, she would never allow herself to relax.
"Same."
"I'm going to rest a bit. It's quite tiring lately." Wenren Yu shrugged.
Lin Xiao nodded. The four of them separated in front of their rooms. Upon returning back, Lin Xiao's eyes lit up. Time to practice.
