《Rise of the Great Emperor 》Chapter 342: Teaching the Calming Heart Technique

Looking at how Hu Fei turned serious, the others chose not to bother with him. He would take some time to finish the sword based on his current capability. They should wait for some time before they visited him again.
"Now that we're back, do you all want to rest?" Prince Lin Yan glanced at the others.
Lin Xiao shook his head. They already rested enough before the drama with Lei Xing Yi and the others not long ago. There was no need for them to have more rest anymore now that they were already feeling much better.
"Big Bro, there's something I need to show you."
"Hmm?"
"In the training room."
"Alright."
Heading to the training room that was prepared for them, Lin Xiao stood in the middle. He took a deep breath before he started to execute the movement of Calming Heart Technique that he saw in that treasure room. He didn't know whether the others also see the same technique or not but it would be better for him to show them first.
The movement was not long and Lin Xiao didn't have any difficulties in executing the movement.
It only took a short moment for him to completely finish the entire set of Calming Heart Technique.
"What's that technique?" Prince Lin San could see some profoundness from the simple movement's technique but he couldn't put his words into it. It felt as if there was some kind of mystery within despite the simple movement.
In addition, he felt that Lin Xiao did look a bit different after executing that set of movements.
"Calming Heart Technique."
"Calming Heart Technique?" Prince Lin Yan was the most surprised one of them. He looked at Lin Xiao in amazement. "This must be one of the few techniques that are used to train a cultivators' heart and will. You should practice it a lot because it'll help you to overcome your weakness in your heart and also allow you to be stronger."

Lin Xiao nodded. "You should do it too, Big Brother."
"Are you willing to teach it?" Prince Lin Yan's eyes shone. He was clearly also interested in this set of movement.
"Yes. I only managed to get the first set but I guess this should be enough for the time being." Lin Xiao guessed that the rest of the movement was in that Secret Region if they chose to continue.
But since his current rank was pretty low, he didn't have any intention of courting death by comparing notes with those high geniuses. When the time was ripe, he would figure out a method to return back to that place and obtained more steps of this Calming Heart Technique.
"Will you teach me too?" Princess Lan Yi Hua asked hopefully.
"Of course!"
"Then count me in too."
"Master, I want to learn too."
"Alright, let's all learn together."
Thus, they all spent the day to practice Calming Heart Technique. The more Lin Xiao executed the movement, the more he felt his willpower getting stronger. It was amazing as he never expected that his soul power would be growing so rapidly like that.
Inside his consciousness, Lin Hu was also watching Lin Xiao with interest. The others who were training with Lin Xiao certainly didn't improve as fast as Lin Xiao, thus it made the contrast quite big.
'The technique is suitable for Lin Xiao.'
That was the only conclusion Lin Hu could get after he watched for some time.
The next day, the group visited Hu Fei, who had finished making the sword. He looked very proud as he pointed to the sword on the table. "Heh! I managed to make earth grade weapon of dark element!"
"That's only because of the metal."

"Damn you! Can't you allow me to have the credit for once?"
While Hu Fei was bellowing angrily, Xia Ye stepped forward and took the sword. It was light and thin, most importantly, Xia Ye could sense his Qi was responding to every move of the sword.
Ah, it was really a sword that was specialized for him.
"It's faster than before," Princess Lan Yi Hua commented. She clearly remembered that Hu Fei used to take a long time to finish her and Prince Lin San's weapons.
"Your mental ability had increased because of that Calming Heart Technique." Lin Xiao looked at Hu Fei. "Mental strength is important to make weapon, right?"
"Of course it's important…" Hu Fei's words faltered. "Ah, you damn brat! Why did you have to reveal the fact that I trained in Calming Heart Technique?"
Lin Xiao looked at Hu Fei with strange expression. "The others have already learned it too. Why did it matter?"
"It's a high grade skill and you pass it over to them just like that? Don't you know that if you write the skill and sell it, you can get thousands of Spirit Stones?" Hu Fei felt like bellowing to the clueless Lin Xiao.
Such valuable skill… was passed to others so easily.
"They're my brothers, my men, and my future wife, why can't I pass it to them?" Lin Xiao felt that it was stranger that Hu Fei would pester him about this. In his eyes, they were all his people and it would be good thing for his people to grow stronger, right?
After all, being the strongest alone would not be a good thing.
He needed others to help him out and naturally it would mean that he needed to make them stronger too. Since he could share this technique with them, why not?
"You…" Hu Fei was speechless. "Are you not worried that they'll betray you?"
"Are you implying that I'll betray my own brother?" Prince Lin Yan's eyes narrowed and he looked at Hu Fei with murderous intent.
"Wait, not you! I didn't mean you! Ahhhh! Help me!"
Prince Lin San looked at Hu Fei as if he was seeing an idiot. He and Xia Ye had already sworn an oath to follow Lin Xiao, so naturally they would not be betraying him.
Even though Prince Lin Yan didn't swear an oath, it was clear that he would not do anything that would harm Lin Xiao.
As for Princess Lan Yi Hua….

Summoner's Journey
[Before you read - the story is officially dead. The reasons behind it are posted in the last chapter.] In a magic world on the verge of an industrial revolution, Ari Ragnarsson must uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance. They were part of an organization known as the Order, which protects mankind from various threats - both human and supernatural. Now, after Ari's brands finally manifest, he leaves the safety of his village and travels to the continent. Strength is all that matters in this world and he must learn how to control his powers. There, he meets a man from another world, who's being hunted for merely existing. Their fates become intertwined, but not in a way either of them would appreciate. Author's note (contains minor non-story related spoilers about the MC and setting) This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG elements sprinkled on top. The main character is not a spellsword, but a summoner/support mage hybrid. Since he wasn't ambushed by a random god, there's no cheat item/spell and he has to rely on his skills and wits to survive in a world full of monsters. The story tries to show the moment when the old starts to be replaced by the new, with a healthy dose of magic and a little steampunk in the background. Also, it revolves around a party dynamic akin to RPG sessions. No health/mana bars. Numbers are secondary and the LITRPG elements focus more on classes/spells/runes and their evolutions. Tables are sparse at the beginning, but from chapter 7 onwards they appear more often. Still, I won't be copy-pasting the whole character sheet dozens of times per chapter.

Unknown Fate's End
The ancient's believed that a man's fate or destiny is written already, and that only God or maybe the Gods could change it. If they did change it, it was believed it was for a purpose unknown to that man or for maybe for the ammusement of those higher beings. However, whether that is true or not, one thing is for certain. Changing a man's fate will create a ripple of changes. Join our hero, who whether by luck, by some divine intervention, or by his own choice, separated from the fate that he shared with his fellow earthlings. Watch him struggle in his new world. Watch him grow. Watch him learn. Watch him walk a path oustside what destiny has for him. FYI: The magic concept in this story is high fantasy with involvement of polytheistic religions and demons. There will be a mix of GameLit style writing mixed with traditional magic novel style writing. The plot developement will be slow in the first volume, as I will focus on world building and character building. The main character will not be OP immediately and will develop into one in his own way over time. This series is built less like modern Japanese, Korean, and Chinese webnovels and more like the old school fanstasy novels like DND and Forgotten Realms.
