The room was large and looked quite luxurious. However, Zhongsun Shan's gaze was locked onto the two leaders who were present there: Wang Luo Sect Head and also Yun Liu Sect Head.

The two sat at the very front. They looked like they were still as calm as ever with no change in their expression in the slightest bit. However, the rest of them looked a bit nervous and a little out of place.

"Leader, we can't just stay silent like this."

"Yes! Yue Da Sect said that the mole must be someone sent from the Royal Family after we have finished our work before."

Zhongsun Shan stood near the wall along with some other disciples. Those were the children of other elders who had quite a high position in this room and thus, they were allowed to come in. While they would not contribute much to this meeting, they would be the future generation and would not betray the sect.

Well, at least, to a certain degree.

But Zhongsun Shan himself was different since he only got in to eavesdrop and to tell the others about what he found regarding this place. Looking at how the elders were in state of panic and unable to calm themselves down, he knew that the blow to Yue Da Sect was quite big.

The three sects contributed to Taiyi Sect downfall and naturally, they felt that something was fishy with the way Yue Da Sect got destroyed not long ago. With the sect's specialty of running away known, it was indeed weird that they could fall so deeply and then got destroyed in the process.

"There's no concrete evidence. As far as we know, the culprit is someone who had learned the sect's most profound skill, Moon Evasion." Wang Luo Sect Head looked to one direction.

The elder who was looked at nodded. "Y..yes, they can use the skill very well. Not only that, they're also very powerful… more than our head."

The last sentence was what caught their attention the most. If the opponent was even more powerful than their sect's head, it meant that they were already at Golden Core Stage. The three head were only at half Golden Core Stage because they were incapable to make their breakthrough.

None of the younger generation managed to make their breakthrough either as the most talented youngsters were already taken away by other powerful sects even before these three sects had the chance.

And even after so long, the highest cultivator were always half Golden Core Stage Cultivators.

"They're not Yue Da Sect disciple." Yun Liu Sect head said in unhurried tone. However, the gravity of the matter just increased. "They must be someone sent from the Royal Family to eliminate us after we have finished cleaning up the Taiyi Sect."

"But why?"

"Dead man tell no lies."

It was something that many people also understood and followed. Those from Wang Luo Sect especially would kill those who withheld their secret because it would put them in danger. Now that they were the one who held the secret…

They were all worried.

"What should we do?"

Zhongsun Shan listened to them trying to concoct plan while looking at his Communication Jade. The other three would secure other elders and also spread the poison during the time the important elders were in this meeting. At the same time, they have to make sure that no one delivered the news to the elders here.

Time passed slowly.

The elders came up with several plans, yet there was not a single one of them that's plausible.

They all started to run out of ideas and asked the other youngsters who were in the room. The youngsters were mostly flustered because they couldn't think of anything either and being in the spotlight put them in awkward position. 

"Feng Yu, perhaps you have other ideas?"

Zhongsun Shan smiled bitterly. Just as he was about to say none, he saw the Communication Jade lit up. It was then he understood that the others have already finished their work.

"May I ask what kind of problem we're facing first?"

Elder Feng didn't notice the strange tone that Zhongsun Shan used. He only thought that his son was being more polite because they were in front of so many powerful elders in the two sects.

"The two sects have been trying to figure out a method to get out of this tricky situation. We did get a message before in the past to get rid of Taiyi Sect, but we're also unclear about who send the message."

"Is it not possible to ask him for help again?" Zhongsun Shan asked slowly.

Elder Feng sighed. "Yes, we can. But if the one who wanted our downfall is them, there's no point in asking them to come here because we're only going to end up courting our death."

"There's no need to worry. You can ask them."

"Yes?"

"Because the one who destroyed Yue Da Sect didn't belong to the Royal Family, Elder Feng," Zhongsun Shan said with a brilliant smile.

"What are you…?"

The door was flung open and a messed up disciple rushed in. His appearance and expression looked as if he had just seen hell. "Master… please help us!"

"What happened?"

"There are intruders who are killing everyone! Please help us deal with the lunatics."

"Alright…"

Before the elder could finish speaking, Zhongsun Shan had already raised his hand and killed him. The fluctuation of Qi in the air startled all of the elders. Aside from the two heads, who were at half Golden Core Stage, the others were only at Foundation Establishment Stage.

That attack was simply too fast, but even the two heads couldn't follow the trajectory of the attack before the elder was killed.

"Well, now that the cat is out of the bag, isn't it time for us to talk about our real business?" Zhongsun Shan asked in leisure tone. He looked at Elder Feng. "How did you communicate with the Royal Family?"

"You…" Elder Feng was horrified.

Zhongsun Shan looked at the other elders. "Well, one of you will surely know the answer. Don't worry, I'll take the time to ask you all one by one."
