Fan Ling, who woke up in the middle of her cultivation due to the noise, had rushed out. With her wind element and also her movement skill, she arrived out the fastest out of everyone. Seeing Lin Xiao fought, her instinct made her move to restrain the enemy first.

"No big deal." Fan Ling flicked her hair. "Who did you offend this time?"

"I wonder about that too. I was about to go to sleep when someone disturbed my beauty sleep and tried to kill me."

Fan Ling's lips twitched. If they were not facing an assassin right now, she would seriously consider smacking Lin Xiao for his choice of words. At this time, Lin Yun and Lu Jian had also appeared and naturally looked over to the man who were restrained by Fan Ling's technique. 

Lin Xiao bent down and pulled the assassin's mask. An unfamiliar face greeted him but it was not the same for Fan Ling. Her eyes turned icy. "What do you think you're doing Du Si An?"

"Du Si An?" Lin Yun asked.

Lu Jian furrowed his brows as his brain sorted out many names that he had memorized. It didn't seem to match with any people… oh wait.

"Fan Pei's right hand? Du Si An, 24 years old, Golden Core Stage 1 and also a servant in Fan Family?" Lu Jian asked, listing out the information he had memorized before.

Lin Xiao nearly vomited when he heard Lu Jian listed someone's information so easily. Did this man possibly memorize everyone's information inside his head?

However, he didn't ask Lu Jian in fear that the answer would be yes.

Fan Ling nodded. "That's him."

"So, did your cousin wants to kill me?" Lin Xiao arched his eyebrows. "My, I didn't know that my worth will be that much."

"Heh, it seems that things have been too peaceful lately." Fan Ling sneered. She felt that she really needed to teach them a bit of lessons to make sure that no one touched her guest. Not to mention, the person they attacked was Lin Xiao.

Everyone turned to look behind and saw Old Master Fan came out with several others. He was calm because he had noticed the fight ceased but upon seeing the person on the ground, his expression was not good.

He didn't mind having the youngsters chose to support different princes but he wouldn't allow them to openly kill each other in his own house.

"What are you doing, Du Si An?" Fan Pei acted as if he was surprised and angry.

"Master, I…." Du Si An noticed the glare on Fan Pei's face and gritted his teeth. "This one is wrong and will…."

A stick landed on Du Si An's mouth, stopping him from killing himself. Lin Yun clicked his tongue. "It'll be too easy for you if you chose death, isn't it?"

Lin Xiao nodded at Fan Ling and Fan Ling grinned. She had been wanting to beat up this little b*stard for some time now and now that the chance had come, how could she miss this chance?

Shrill screams filled the courtyard. Fan Pei's face was pale while Old Master Fan also didn't look too good but he didn't stop his granddaughter. "Little Ling."

"Grandpa, this servant is too unruly to attack an Imperial Family members." Fan Ling naturally knew that her grandfather didn't want to punish her cousin. She might be his doted granddaughter, but he was also the family's head. "Since he dared to do it, he had to be punished."

"I have already reported this matter and some people will take him away." Lu Jian smiled. "Don't worry, it's just a case of a servant acting on their own, right?"

"Yes." Fan Pei gritted his teeth. He had no other choice but to play along even though he was the one who commanded for this matter to be done.

Lin Xiao watched the play and laughed coldly. He waved his hand. "I'll leave it to you, Fan Ling, Lu Jian."

"Yes, Master." Fan Ling willingly addressed Lin Xiao as Master in front of the other elders. This was to show her stance. She realized that if she didn't do this, her family members didn't seem to realize where her stance was. 

"Little Ling…" Old Master Fan looked at his granddaughter and sighed. She had truly grown up. "Fan Pei, come with me."

Fan Pei's face turned pale. He knew that the moment his grandfather chose to call him by his full name and no longer with 'little,' it means his grandfather's patient had run out.
