Fan Ling let out a hearty laugh. She grinned. "I'm not going to be bound by them and naturally, I'll try to do what I could on my own. There's no need to worry that I wouldn't be able to do anything because I know what I do."

Before she met with them, Fan Ling had always been very unrestrained. She was also known to be a very fiery girl of Fan Family and many people knew about her bravery and also bad temper.

Now that there was something that occurred in her home, how could she step back and not settle it?

Lin Xiao nodded. "Go."

"Alright!"

Turning around, Fan Ling returned back to her house vigorously. For the next few days, the turmoil in Fan Family would be for all of them to hear. The younger generations in the Fan Family were having a bout against each other.

Lin Yun looked at Fan Ling's back with complicated emotions. He looked at his own brother. "Brother, is it fine to let things be like this?"

Lu Jian passed a look at Lin Yun. "And what do you want to do? Meddle with her family problems."

"That's…"

"You can meddle if you want but do you think she'll like it if you meddle too much?" Lin Xiao shook his head. "We're all cultivators and I'm sure that you have your own pride and also path as to why you choose to become a cultivator. What would you think if you follow someone and that person keep on treating you as if you're just a useless person that need his help all the time?"

Lin Yun's face changed. If that was the case, he would be annoyed. It would look as if the person whom he followed didn't trust in his capabilities as a cultivator.

Lin Xiao smiled when he saw Lin Yun's face of understanding. He had his own consideration when he chose to let his friends finish their own problems. They all have their own private lives and it was impossible for him to be part in their every lives.

Unless they have a problem that they wanted to ask for help from him, he would not meddle.

"I trust Fan Ling will be able to win over Fan Family." Lin Xiao smiled. Fan Ling dreamed to be able to recreate her grandfather's legend from many years ago. The first step that she would need to do in order to be able to achieve the dream would be to lead her own family members.

If she couldn't even lead her own family members, how could she possibly create a strong force out of nowhere?

The Fan Family was readily available and what she needed was strong power and potential, enough to move those people to follow her readily. Only then would she be able to truly become a force to be reckoned with.

"I understand." Lin Yun took a deep breath and also nodded heavily. Fan Ling was powerful and knew herself well. If she said that she would be able to do it, he believed that she would be capable enough to convince those people from Fan Family.

"Now that it's already like this, how do you plan to set up your force?" Lu Jian asked as he looked at Lin Xiao.

Lin Xiao passed a look at Lu Jian. "That will be your job."

"Me?"

"Didn't you say that you want to prove yourself? This will be a good time for you to start poaching the noble families. If you can't bring them over, you can also go over to the smaller families." Lin Xiao thought for a moment.

Inside his mind, Lin Hu scoffed. "Are you thinking of winning majority of people rather than merely the powerful families?"

'It can't be helped, the powerful families' powers are already mostly split among the three princes. If I want to poach them, I have to show them that I'm more beneficial to follow compared to the other princes. It'll be too hard.'

'Just show your mark~.'

'And got myself killed early, huh?'

'Well, you're already stupid enough most of the time. What harm would it be for you to be even more stupid?'

Lin Xiao was speechless at the dragon inside his mind and refused to say anything else. He looked at Lu Jian. "For the time being, talk with them. We'll see how it is afterwards."

"How about our base?"

"What are you planning to do now?"

"Now? Move out to the new house and prepare betrothal gifts!" Lin Xiao said seriously. He might not stay in the house for a long time but he would need to make it their homes. At least, for formality sake since it would be weird for him to prepare betrothal gifts to the dorm. 

Lin Yun: "…" you're seriously going to prepare it right now?

Princess Lan Yi Hua: "…" you're not going to strike while the iron is still hot to convince many more people to join your side?

Lu Jian: "…" what did I expect from him?

The three of them felt that Lin Xiao was sometimes… really unreliable.
