"They're talking about you," Lin Xiao said in low tone while looking at Princess Lan Yi Hua with concern. Obviously, he wanted to beat them all up for talking bad about his woman. They didn't have the right to say those words to Princess Lan Yi Hua.

Lin Xiao's fist clenched tightly. Damn them. If only it was possible, he wanted to make sure that they eat their own words by showing that Princess Lan Yi Hua was actually very capable. However, he had to be patient and wait for the right time.

The building where the teleportation circles located were not far from the main hall where they held the banquet this time. This place was right at the border between the two kingdoms as it would be dangerous if either side declared war.

As Lin Xiao and Princess Lan Yi Hua stepped into the hall, some nobles and also powerful cultivators swept their gaze to them. Lin Xiao detected most of their ranks and felt astounded because they were only between Golden Core Stage 1 and 2.

'Is it that hard to advance to Golden Core Stage 3?'

'Advancing to Golden Core Stage 3 requires you to fight against the Heavens. It means that there'll be tribulation in their heart and most people will not dare to trigger the tribulation in fear that they fail and end up dying in the process.' Lin Hu was the one who explained. The tribulation was more like to further their understanding of their path, though.

In fact, after Golden Core Stage 3, there would be another tribulation if they wanted to advance further.

During tribulation, they were not allowed to be assisted by other people and have to rely on their own strength. Because of this point, many people didn't dare to attempt it and could only stared at the rank with longing without any capabilities to pass it. 

However, Lin Xiao could see that the Emperors were both already at Golden Core Stage 3 just based on the pressures they exerted.

'To become the Emperor, you need to become Golden Core Stage 3?'

Lin Xiao glanced back and saw Lu Jian walked over. The expression on the young man's face was that of embarrassment.

Lin Xiao also had no intention to make things difficult for Lu Jian. He nodded. "Your son is the one who helps me a lot."

"You're quite a polite young man." The middle aged man laughed and then talked a bit more with Lin Xiao. To his surprise, Lin Xiao was capable to keep polite speech thorough the entire conversation.

It didn't look like he was talking to someone who came from the village at all.
