"Ha ha ha…" Prince Lin Hong silently laughed when the nobles started to clap. Those who were at Prince Lin Bo Wang's side naturally feel happier when they saw how Princess Lan Xiao Yue even took their sides and not Prince Lin Fei.

This gave them a boost of confidence that they never thought before.

On the other hand, Prince Lin Hong felt as if he was already pushed to the background without any warning. Everything only revolved between Prince Lin Fei and Prince Lin Bo Wang, leaving no chance for him to get inside.

It was so frustrating.

Clasping his hand tighter, Prince Lin Hong felt as if he was truly reduced to the background. Why? 

Was it because he was simply the youngest and had no remarkable achievement whatsoever? He hated it. It was never his decision to be born a few years younger than the two other princes.

With his eyes burning in rage and discontent, Prince Lin Hong silently retreated from the party. He was no longer in the mood to enjoy the banquet that promoted the two powerful princes while he was nothing more than a piece on the background.

He wanted to be the one at the spotlight.

"Well, that surprisingly goes well," Lin Xiao commented with a smile.

Prince Lan Yi Hua looked at Lin Xiao with arched eyebrows. "You planned for this?"

"Yes." Lin Xiao's eyes gleamed as he looked towards the two princes. "They never see me as a threat, yet they tried to kill me in numerous occasion. If I didn't pay them back for their kindness, I'm not a gentleman."

Lin Yun looked at his brother and shook his head. "Are you sure that you can be called a gentleman, Brother?"

"Tsk, are you looking down on me, Yun?"

"I'm merely stating a fact."

Lin Xiao scoffed and looked inside again. "Princess Lan Xiao Yue wouldn't like to be used as a pawn. She had long gotten used to get whatever she wanted with her act and status. Because of that, when she knows that she would be used as pawn by the Emperors from the two kingdoms, she refused."

"Pawn?" Fan Ling was stunned.

Prince Lin San also blinked his eyes. "I'm afraid I don't understand."

"Prince Lin Bo Wang planned to use the princess only after it's settled that she got phoenix inheritance," Prince Lin Xian added from the side. He pursed his lips. "He'll never make a bet on something that's not totally sure. Because of that, he allowed the Emperor to point Prince Lin Fei as her fiancé without worry.

Because he knows that he could take her back when he revealed his prowess to her later and take back what 'belongs' to him."

Fan Ling was speechless when she heard they were talking about Princess Lan Xiao Yue as if she was an item. As a fellow woman, she didn't really like the way they were talking. But as their group member, she had to admit that she didn't really value Princes Lan Xiao Yue that well. She hated her, in fact.

"Now that his plan is disrupted, he'll stick with Princess Lan Xiao Yue all his life." Lin Xiao shrugged and turned around. "But of course, we should try to incite Prince Lin Fei to make his move before the phoenix inheritance."

"Oh, I'll get that one."

"Ling'er, I don't think that you're suitable.."

"What? My element is fire! So of course I'm suitable!" Fan Ling protested. Every woman in the entire Sun Kingdom and Hua Lan Kingdom were allowed to participate in the Phoenix Inheritance. Because of that, Fan Ling had been waiting for her chance to enter too and probably getting the inheritance.

Lin Xiao glanced at the two of them then at Princess Lan Yi Hua. He landed a kiss on her forehead. "I'm sure you can get it. Let's go back first."

"Ok."

"The show is over."

There was nothing that they could watch from this banquet anymore as the party was over. It was time for them to return back and silently prepare for what they were supposed to do.

The inheritance's day will be very lively.

"First Brother, I need your help."

"Yes?"

"I would like you to praise Prince Lin Bo Wang in front of His Majesty and Prince Lin Fei. I'm sure the two father and son will meet with each other sooner or later." Lin Xiao smiled.

Prince Lin Yan looked at his youngest brother and sighed. He nodded his head. "Fine. I'll do it. However, I think that your transformation is a bit too much."

"Eh?"

"You're getting more and more cunning."

Towards that statement, Lin Xiao couldn't do anything but to scratch the back of his head. It was not like he wanted himself to be like this, but he knew that he had to learn if he wished to survive. Those two princes have been making their move, yet there was no lead that could point to them.

If he wished to make a mess in the Royal Family without inciting trouble for himself, this was the method that he had to use. It was also the best method that he could think of if he had to be honest.

Lin Xiao took out his communication jade when they had returned back to Sun Dragon Academy and contacted his friends. 

"Your Highness?"

"Wenyan, are you already ready to make your move?"

"Anytime. We're already at our position and the preparation is complete. All we need to do is to make our move at the right time."

Lin Xiao nodded. He had seen the list of people they were targeting. "On the day of Phoenix Inheritance, I want you to make your move."

"Oh~. Alright."

"Don't make a mistake. If you can't succeed, retreat."

"We know."

Lin Xiao sighed when he heard how easy going their tone was. He did feel worry, but he chose to not bother them again. Using his communication jade, he contacted another person to ask him to make his move.
