"Oh my God! Humans are developing such abilities suddenly?" Alex was exasperated.

She could never even imagine waking up late one morning and finding herself in this sort of a super-human world!

This was the stuff of dreams or rather nightmares.

Su Yan also shared with her the public service announcement that required all individuals showing any abilities to register themselves at their nearest local health care center.

"Oh. I see. Is this the reason why you were headed outside?" Alex curiously asked Su Yan.

"Do you both also have some kind of superhuman ability?"

Faced with the woman's questioning glance and excited eyes, Su Yan and Lu Chen nervously looked at each other.

They were trying to decide whether they should share Lu Chen's ability with her or not.

The boys kept silent for a few seconds, but they finally nodded their heads.

At least until they figure out their current situation, they might need all the help they could get.

Su Yan calmly answered her question. "Yes, Alex, though it's not the both of us."

"I don't have any ability, but my friend Lu Chen here possibly has a supernatural ability."

"We were indeed heading out to the health center to register his ability."

While the trio was fervently discussing the mind-bending current affairs, Qin Hua was silently engrossed in her own slice of mystery.

Out of nowhere, she had suddenly received a few new notifications.

DING! DING! DING! Qin Hua almost felt dizzy with the random bombardment of information.

Qin Hua's round beady fluorescent eyes twinkled with excitement.

Mana? Was this a new form of energy? Is this why everybody was developing new abilities?

Things seemed much more clearer to her now.

As far as why the earth was suddenly subjected to this new energy called mana, she still didn't have the answer.

But at least she knew enough to help her survive in this new world better.

Qin Hua flicked open her status screen and hurriedly eyed the latest updates.

Qin Hua stared at the screen without blinking her beady eyes.

The new mana attribute and her special beast ability to passively absorb the atmospheric mana was something she could somewhat understand.

But the little dog was quite puzzled by the evolution notifications.

A dog is a dog, what can she possibly evolve into? A bigger dog?

Qin Hua's puzzlement was so apparent that even Su Yan noticed the change in Little White's behavior, as he was holding her in his arms.

Like a mother concerned for her kid, Su Yan hugged the cute little puppy closer to his chest.

"Sorry, Little white. I know all of this is very stressful for you and bothers you."

"I will do my best to protect you and keep you safe." Su Yan reassuringly mumbled to Little White.

Qin Hua was unexpectedly touched and slightly flustered in his tight embrace.

[Damn it, dude. This missy is trying to power up here and save all our asses. Quit smothering me.]

[Evolution options. Let's see.]

The first one was Hell hound. Evolving to this big guy gave her a special ability to breathe out fires. This definitely seemed like a useful and powerful option.

The second option was Mad hound. This evolution gave her the power to go berserk and unleash 10 times her current strength and power.

Though this ability looked less enticing than breathing fire, it was still a very powerful ability, especially considering that her strength increases with every level.

The third option was Shadow hound. This option was a bit strange. She didn't completely understand the power but it looked very mysterious.

If she evolved to a shadow hound, the description explained that she would be able to unleash demonic powers.

The last and final option was Vampiric hound. If she chose this option she would be able to absorb the blood of others and grow stronger.

[Yuck! Blood??] Qin Hua spat out. Just the thought of it gave her a sick metallic taste in her mouth.
