Lu Chen stared at the horror in front of him, unable to believe what was happening. Tears rolled down his cheeks without even him realizing it. His eyes were completely bloodshot.

No one deserved to be treated this way.

What were they even supposed to do now?

Fight these monsters? There were so many of them. What if they lost? This was what awaited them? This would be their fate also?

He shivered. He wanted to fight and kill them badly. He wanted to shred and rip their limbs apart as well.

But how could they fight so many of them? His body was trembling. Could they afford to take their chances? 

No, they needed to run. They can may be… may be come back later… when they are stronger… but they needed to get the hell out of here right now, go back to their truck and get out of the city, fast and far away from this monstrosity. 

His hand was clutching the dagger so tightly that the blade was cutting through and blood was seeping.

As the beads dropped one by one, his pulse quickened. He snapped out of his trance and was about to run when his gaze fell on Qin Hua who was standing still next to him.

The look on her face was not that different from the look in his eyes. "Let's go. Little white. Let's...  get out of here." He muttered, forcing the words out of his mouth.

He was worried that the dog might be in shock after seeing something like this. 

Even though she might be physically big and have an inexplicable intelligence and ability to grasp human language, the fact was that she was barely a month or so old.

How could such a young mind process what was happening in front of them?

But… he was wrong.

Qin Hua did not stand frozen from fear. Rather her eyes were busily scanning the crowd. Thanks to her upgraded [Inspect] skill, she was able to observe her enemies in detail.

These goblins were much stronger than the ones they had faced earlier, which directly stepped out of the portal.

These goblins had clearly hunted the same way they were also hunting and have become stronger. Till now, she hadn't properly processed the presence of the strange creatures.

She had just assumed that these were also some sort of beasts. She had never considered them to be anything else. However, no beast was capable of this sort of brutality.

[Level 20 to Level 30…] Qin Hua's mind spun. They were at least 10 levels above her, but that was not the issue. Her stats were comparatively higher for her level.

In a one vs one or even one vs ten fight, she would have already torn them apart. But this… there was an army of goblins in front of them!

She turned to look at Lu Chen, feeling his gaze on her. There was clearly hesitation in both their eyes and she saw that he was ready to run. Even she wanted to run.

But no. She shook her head. That would be the wrong thing to do.

It was not because they needed to save these people or fight for humanity or any other lofty goal like that. They just simply needed to fight for the sake of becoming stronger. There was no other option. 

This was an ordeal that they absolutely had to overcome. She just knew it. It has hardly been a week and this is what they were up against.

If they couldn't face this right now... then they might as well crumble here…

She raised her paw, signaling him to remain silent. She then silently slipped into a shadow, after summoning her clone out.

The clone then lifted her paw to once again signal Lu Chen and the two of them quietly walked back to the group.

Qin Hua's clone then led them to one of the nearby buildings, which was neither too close nor too far from the stadium.

"What happened, Lu Chen? Why do look like that?" Alex couldn't remain silent any longer and quickly asked him. "Ya, what happened? Where is little white?" Guan Ye also looked concerned.

It seemed like something big had happened and they were terrified to even think what it might be. Just this morning they had dealt with an impossible situation, was the same thing repeating again?

Had more monstrous beasts popped out?

Lu Chen who looked as white as paper shook his head. He did not even know where to begin explaining. He looked around and saw an elevator and quickly got on to it.

Luckily, it was still running. "Get in. Get in. Fast."

Everyone got in after him and the elevator stopped at the 10th floor. Lu Chen quickly got out and ran to climb the one flight of stairs leading to the open terrace.

And when he got there, he wordlessly pointed to the stadium nearby. 

Perhaps if their bodies were like before, they couldn't have seen anything but now with their enhanced and evolved bodies, they could clearly see the crowd of green-skinned creatures inside.

And also what they were doing…

Since they were standing at a height, they could clearly see how all the women were suffering. The entire place was littered with blood and flesh.

Lu Chen clutched the railing. He didn't want to see it one more time. The others also looked numb. 

Xu Meilin and Alex collapsed on the floor, their knees giving out.

Guan Ye also looked horrified. He leaned against a wall to support himself, no longer looking at the appalling scene.

People were getting tortured and massacred right in front of them. How could they ever become used to seeing something like this?

Being torn apart and eaten alive by beasts was one thing, but this was…
