He had pulled the man's arm over his head and the bullet did not hurt anyone as it was pointed in the air. He took the man off guard and beat him badly but the strange thing was he started laughing looking in the other direction. Kevin was surprised and looked in his direction of sight as he saw a snipper on the top of a building pointed at her. He breath became uneven as he panicked, he had no other option so he quickly jumped on top of her and tried moving her away from the sight of attack. He had covered her body with his arms and the bullet hit him instead of her.

He could not care less and simply picked her up in his arms as she spoke in an almost inaudible voice "Your arm."

He was so angry at this moment that he didn't say anything and fastened his pace towards the car as Rachel's eyes close shut. He panicked putting her in the front seat and putting on the seatbelt. He then picked up the man he just beat up from the ground and put him in the back of the car staring coldly at him, had it not been the fact that he needed him for further information he would have killed him as fire burned through his eyes.

He started the car and rushed to the hospital hitting the gas pedal fully, his heart racing all the way there. He was breathing heavily and the car was covered by the sound of his breath. He kept checking Rachel's pulse which was reducing in it's volume.

When they finally reached the hospital, Rachel was immediately rushed to the operation room as tears flooded his eyes. He was completely frustrated and ran towards his car as he had to take the person to a proper place but he could not take him to his boss so he took him home and tied him tightly to a chair, locked him in the room where he was staying and raised to the hospital.

By the time he was at the hospital, a lot of his blood was lost and as he entered the hospital, he himself fainted. He was immediately rushed to the operation room too. Rachel was not hurt much so after the operation she soon regained consciousness and came to know about Kevin, she was worried but was not allowed to meet him. She asked the doctor who said that he was fine but had not regained consciousness and he may take time to recover. She smiled at the doctor and as he left tears rolled down her eyes but she didn't have time for this when she felt a little better, she took special permission for early discharge and after a lot of efforts and pleading she was allowed to leave. She did not have any strength in her to look at Kevin in such a condition which was all caused by her. She decided that she would not let his effort go wasted, although she could not be his women as he had said but at least she could help him with the case. She had now realized that it was not as simple as it seemed to be to really face the underground world so she had to work even more harder than she usually did.
