The next day their morning was usual as they went to school but they had a day off at the agency so they took the liberty to investigate into the matter of Kevin and first thing they did was to go and share the information they had gained with Rachel's parents in thoughts that Jamie would have some idea of where they could begin finding the the place of origin if these dangerous creatures.

They were build up very carefully with some special traits that none of the polymorphs had so this was making him worried. Earlier he knew the power of the enemy he was going to fight but right now he knew nothing about the enemy's power. He was not worried for himself but for Rachel because if anything were to happen to her he knew that he would not be able to control himself to cause destruction.

That night after dinner it was Rachel who broke the subject about those strange creatures. She began by telling how one entered her room and then she told about her dream to her parents and how that felt so real.

Both of them sat patiently and heard what she had to say quietly and after that there was some silence for a while and finally Jamie spoke "If you think that your mother is involved in this then she must have chosen the place where you least want to be."

Robert nodded "That is the most logical thing to do, I least visit my country because everyone there fears me and never causes trouble."

Rachel held his hand and with his eyes glistening she spoke "It must be that place because your mother is strong enough to not have the same fear as other people have from you and she knows you very well to know the fact that you won't be visiting that place and she could do whatever she want."

Robert seemed to think as if something was wrong about what they had thought but after a while he nodded "I will go there and see what it is."

Rachel stood up at once holding his arm "I am coming with you."

He looked into her eyes standing up and with an authoritative tone he said "No, you are not coming, I am not putting your life in danger when we don't know what is there."

Jessica stood up and she was the one to speak in a calm tone "Her life will be in danger even if you leave her alone here, didn't you see what happened yesterday."

Robert froze on his spot not knowing what to do and on this cue Charles got up "Remember it is your responsibility to protect my daughter and if she is even scratched a little, I will pull your eyes out."

Robert still didn't say anything and then Jamie kept a hand on his shoulder "Don't let her out of your sight and that is the best way to protect her."

He turned around to go to the room and just said "Let me think what to do and I will let you know but right now don't get your hopes high about you going with me."

Her face dropped visibly but Robert didn't spare her another look because if he did that, it would flatter his decision which he didn't want so he ran to the room.

Jamie smiled and said "Trust me he will come around" and then she went to her room while the rest of them cleared the table and cleaned the dishes.

After they were done Rachel went to her room wishing that Robert had called down and was in a state to listen to him, then she thought she could always seduce him in the end if nothing worked but she pushed that thought out of her mind thinking it would be wrong. Her steps were way too slow as she climbed up the stairs but as she finally reached her door, she took in a deep breath and finally entered.

Robert was sitting on the bed in deep thoughts and as he heard her close the door behind her he began to speak in a tone that felt that he was tired of fighting "Rachel, you know the more I try to protect you the more I realize that you will eventually have to face the danger. I just want to hide you in some corner that no one can find you and only I have the access to be with you but then I think how selfish is that thought then again they are thoughts that I have no control over and they keep coming."

Rachel was so moved by his words that she felt so wrong for him, she felt like giving herself to him completely but then would it work, she was lost in her thoughts but Robert took her silence as her shock of his thoughts. He wanted to take back his words, he didn't look at her once while he talked and neither did he do that now but he was taken by surprise when her arms wrapped around his neck and she buried her head in his neck, it meant she didn't dislike him for his thoughts.

His body stiffened on what she did next, he didn't expect this and it was out of the blue. She began to kiss his neck passionately and slowly and slowly she trailed down. He pulled her in front of him and made her sit in his lap "What do you think you are doing trying to seduce me, let me tell you this is not going to change my mind and that means you are not going."

Rachel began to speak "But... "

He cut her "No arguments, I will stay with you here and I have assigned some men to go and see since I can't leave you alone both of won't be going."

Rachel smiled at how intimidating he was when it came to protecting her and she really liked it.
