Rachel felt the pain course through her neck and she tried to hold her stance but the pain began to spread through her body and she lost her balance falling back. Robert tried to move towards him but as he was stuck with the creatures attacking him, she fell right into Kevin's arms.

A wide grin appeared on Lora's face as she commented "You are not as strong as your mother after all."

Kevin took Rachel out of the room as Lora signalled him to do that and now that Robert had nothing to fear, he got up to feet and let out a dry laugh "Mother, you have a habit of pushing me to my limits but you should know when to stop."

Before Lora could say anything, he immediately turned into his original form which was even more huge than the one last night. Lora stumbled back seeing this, she could never have imagined that her son was capable of this. Robert effortlessly crushed all her mother's minions and finally made his way towards his mother who was already preparing to escape from her.

As she was just just a small miniature creature in front of her right now, he felt like crushing her but he knew very well that she was an immortal just like him and he could never kill her, though she would be dead on the ground for a few minutes but she would wake up again. Thinking on not wasting his time he held his mother in his hand and applied a little pressure so that she could feel the pain as he said "Where is she?"

Lora chuckled "You know, you can't kill me so it is useless to threaten me as I am not telling you where she is."

Although Lora said those words, she was terrified to death as she had never seen this form of his son. She was scared if he would be able to kill her because she knew he was a lot stronger than him. She had never told him how she turned to an immortal but the truth was not what Robert believed.

She had been reading a few books at that time, it was the time when people had started to read and write. She had read the books about gaining power as she always wanted to rule the world, that was when she came across the point that she would have to live forever to do that and then she started searching how she could turn into an immortal.

She had been killing people and feeding on their souls to remain alive that was the only way for her to live until now but with every person she was turning weak. It was only Rachel as she had immense powers, she could turn into an immortal and be the strongest person as the soul of Rachel would settle in her body all the powers that Rachel had would be transferred to her body as well and she was so hellbent on having the life of her dreams where she would be the strongest person and rule the earth and every person would fear her and worship her. She wanted to see the terror in the eyes of people, she wanted to have slaves work for her as she ordered.

Her dreams had blinded her, she was thinking of what she would be able to achieve when she had power when the grasp around her tightened, squeezing her. She looked up into Robert's eyes who said again "Take me to her and I will spare you."

Lora was not the one to give up easily but she knew this was not the time to fight, she had other tricks up her sleeve which she was ready to pull at the right time but at this moment she took him to Rachel who was lying unconscious on the ground.

Robert threw Lora harshly on the floor that it made the floor crack up, he stepped towards Kevin and effortlessly threw him away too. He then turned back to his original form and after taking Rachel into his arms he disappeared from the place into a different castle from where they were staying earlier.

He didn't know what her mother had done to Rachel but he used his healing abilities to cure Rachel if anything evil had been planned, she woke up after a while and seeing Robert next to him, she snuggled closer to him. She could not imagine how her life would have turned out to be if Robert was not there, she was so thankful to God for his presence in her life, she had not seen his powerful form but she knew that he would protect her from any danger as she trusted him with her life.

After processing what had happened earlier, she looked at Robert and said "Don't you think, you should bring back Jessica to protect her as I am sure your mother will use her against you."

Robert gave it a thought before speaking "I know that is a high possibility but for now I need to go and talk to her and send her to a place where mother can't find her because if she is near me, she will be more prone to danger."

Rachel nodded her head as she knew what he said was true but then having Jessica safe was also important. Robert then looked at her "We will go to her later, first tell me do you feel pain anywhere."

Rachel smiled at him and shook her head "No, I am fine, what about you."

His lips pulled up in a smile "As long as I am with you I will always be fine."

She then went into deep thoughts when she asked "Are all her minions finished?"

"Yes, they were a lot but I don't think she could not have possibly made more of them."

Rachel nodded and then questioned him again "Will she be back?"
