As he was just about to place a kiss on Jamie's lips, the door of the room of opened with a loud noise clearly indicating that a lot of force was used. The man turned around and looked at Rachel, his gaze turned l.u.s.tful and now he left Jamie and raised towards Rachel.

Jamie who had been struggling for breath quickly got to he feet when he saw him rushing towards her daughter. She held his arm and and said in a rushed tone "Not my daughter you bastard."

Rachel looked at the man coldly and wanted to kill him of immediately but first she spoke to her mother "Mom, you should rest, I can handle him."

Before Rachel could take her mother to the bed the man pushed her to the ground and Jamie lost control of her body. She fell on the ground and her stomach hit the floor first and then her head. She was in daze and was on the verge of falling unconscious but she was still worried for her daughter so she looked at the man and begged "Jack, please don't hurt my daughter and I will let you do anything to me."

He smirked "That's am amazing offer but I think I like to get the things that people don't want me to get."

Rachel's eyes blazed with fire when she saw her mother begging him and with the situation she was in, she had to be rushed to the hospital because she could see the blood coming out of her mother's head. She looked angrily at the man and as she had no time to fool around with him she kicked him and with one swift flow he was on the ground.

A normal person could never had imagined what had happened. One moment she was standing there and the man didn't even notice her raise her leg and in the next second he was on the ground unconscious. She had simply attached him with a high kick and hit his neck having him unconscious. In a normal situation, she would have smiled at the scene but right now her eyes darkened as she rushed toward her mother who was struggling to keep herself awake, she held her mother's head in her arm and spoke "Don't worry Mom I will take you to the hospital and everything will be alright but please hold on for a little while and don't fall unconscious.

Jamie smiled lightly at her daughter but she struggled a lot at it and Rachel could see that but she didn't say anything instead put all her strength in and picked up her mother in her arms. She carefully carried her to the car and made her lie on the backseat while carefully securing her with the seat belts. Although her movements were rushed, she made sure that her mother was safe and well protected. Later she rushed into the driver's seat and her feet pressed hard on the accelerator.

Initially she wanted to call an ambulance as it would be much safer but she was sure that with her waiting for the ambulance, her mother's condition would just worsen. She drove at the fastest speed and after every few minutes, she kept checking the rear view mirror to make sure that Jamie was still conscious and was comfortable with her speed. Everything seemed fine so she kept rushing but when they were still halfway to the hospital, Jamie could not take it anymore and lost her consciousness. Rachel's feet pressed even harder on the accelerator as she shouted "Mom" she soon began to feel uneasy and she spoke once again "Mom, please don't give up on me, just a little while and we will be there."

Although she felt uneasy, she was still relieved as she could she her mother's chest rise and drop which meant, she was still breathing.

As soon as she reached the hospital, she got out and quickly took Jamie out too before rushing her inside. She was immediately taken to the operation room as it was an emergency case and outside the room Rachel filled the form and signed her consent on performing the operation. Soon the emergency light was turned on and Rachel knew that the operation had began, she could not help but feel anxious and uneasiness filled her heart as she looked at the door.

After she regained some of her senses and realized the chaotic situation, she I'm called Daisy as the call went through a cheerful voice came from the other end "How is my sweet little...."

Rachel cut her off "Come to the hospital and bring Uncle too, mom's in the operation room and it's not good. I will send you the address."

Before Daisy could ask anything the call was cut and she realized that something bad must have happened for her to have such a panicked and rushed voice so she quickly called James informing him about what Rachel had said. Both of them then rushed to the hospital and on the other end Rachel called her father "Dad quickly come to the hospital."

She hung up the call as she expected that her father could understand the rest through her anxious and scared tone and then last she called Robert who had been giving her some alone time now that the situation seemed to have calmed down so he would occasionally let her be alone and go somewhere himself. As he received the call, he knew something was wrong so instead of answering, he just telepored to where Rachel was, it was his the speciality of his superpower that he could sense where the person was and be there the next moment.

When Rachel saw him, she could finally let go of her strong face and show her weakness as he was the only person, she could do that with. She quickly went to him and began to sob while hugging him and soon his shirt was wet with tears but he didn't say anything and quietly patted her back to calm her down. He hugged her tightly as if he was trying to take all the worries from her and transfer them to himself.

She only calmed down when she knew that Daisy and James had arrived and once they were in front of her they asked panicked "What happened?"

As soon as she was about to tell what happened Charles appeared too and his face was filled with worry so Rachel began to explain "I don't know what exactly happened but I went to buy a few things for my project and when I returned the front door was opened which I had locked initially so I was sure that there was an intruder. My first thought was to go check on mom and as I expected there was a man who was trying to make out with mom but thankfully I reached on time and his attention turned towards me. He came near me so obviously mom got up to protect me and held him hand to ask him to stop. I told her that she should rest and I will handle him but before I could take her away the man pushed her to the ground and she fell on her stomach later hitting her head to the floor. I saw blood on the floor coming out of her head and because it was an emergency, I didn't have much time to deal with him. I kicked him unconscious and brought her here but I don't know if something will go wrong because she had been in there for quite long now."

Charles saw that her daughter was fighting to hold back her tears as she spoke and she was completely scared but he went upto her and hugged her saying "Don't worry sweetie, she will be alright."

She responded in a low and regretful voice only her father could hear "I am sorry dad, I let you down. I was not fast enough to protect mom."

Charles patted her daughter's back "Sweetie it's not your fault, just relax she will be fine and you did your best."

Rachel didn't say anything as she still felt guilty and blamed her mother's condition on herself. She had managed to deal with so many dangerous people and scared them to the extent that they wanted to die instead live miserably at her hand yet she was not able to protect her mother. She felt guilty about it, Charles could see that and knowing her personality she she would practice even harder to become more perfect so he felt so proud of her daughter but at the same time he was too worried about what would happen to his wife and the baby.

Although Daisy and James wanted the baby badly right now they were just worried about their friend. Soon they saw a nurse come rushing out of the operation room and Daisy quickly went up to her to ask "How is she? How is the baby? Will they be fine?"

The nurse was in a hurry and it only showed how complicated the situation was so she rushed her words "To be honest, it does not seem good. The baby is not making any movements."

She then ran to get the instruments she was told to and was soon back inside.
