Rachel looked at his expression and there was a slight hint of smile in her voice as she spoke "I did nothing much right now it was that I had been investigating this for a long time and now that this person told me about his plans everything else was put into place. I just took out his details and then his company's name popped up which had gone bankrupt a long time ago. I pout together the information in the time while Dad was introducing me and then I showed you the results of my investigations."

Robert held her into his arms and kissed her lips "Why do you seem even more s.e.xier to me right now, I just want to eat you up and never let you go."

Rachel smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck while leaning closer to his ear she spoke "Sweetheart you will have me for the whole night but right now there are many people who need my attention so let me go."

He looked at her "Ugh, how can you turn me on and ditch me."

She smiled at him and placing a kiss on his lips she went to the party. A lot of people started approaching her and taking to her about their own business collaboration but she could very well see that none of them were worthy. They were just invited for the sake of them being in the business circle but the work they did was not worth getting through the doors of the company so this was their only way of making collaborations through social events and parties. Rachel didn't show her true gesture that she could see through them but instead she greeted everyone politely and with respect.

After talking to everyone she was finally greeted by the group whom she had first approached and they had been rude to her. She smiled internally as they approached her as she thought that now let's have some fun. After she was introduced, Robert was always standing by her side holding her by her waist. Rachel's presence alone was very dominating and with Robert by her side the effect was doubled as he had the capability to even make the dominant person next to him submissive for his sake so everyone was careful while talking. Soon everyone was curious as to who this person was and media started interfering too that was when she introduced him as her boyfriend.

Now that the group was standing in front of her, she smiled at them and said "Hi, may I help you."

One of them who had been arrogantly speaking said in a low tone "We are really sorry Miss. Cullen, we didn't know it was you so we were a little rude. Please forgive us."

She kept her smile intact "I think it should be clear that I wished to see your attitude towards normal people that is why I didn't tell you who I was."

Her smile looked like a polite one but the person in front of her could feel the wrath of it, she trembled and said "Can you please forgive us, we promise to change our attitude."

"It's surprising that I being the daughter of the Cullen family never had that arrogance the you showed me but nevermind I don't care about your attitude but you still don't deserve your job."

The color from their faces drained and they looked at each other with horror filled eyes and soon all of them went on their knees "We are really sorry, we won't repeat this ever again please forgive us."

She took a few steps back and said with a smile "Can't you figure out your attitude is not the problem here."

The looked panicked and they were sure that they were going to loose their jobs and it would be really bad on their reputations later too. They actually didn't know what was wrong and what they did had angered her.

She smiled and after looking at their confused gazes she said "It's surprising that you can not even figure out what you did wrong."

They looked at each other confused and then one of them gathered the courage and said in a trembling voice "Ma'am we were wrong and whatever we did wrong we are ready to make it right please tell us what we should do."

She chuckled "Well if you put it that way then give all the money paid to you to the real owners of it. To make it clear to you give it to the newbies who have been doing your work. If you can report to me in n my office tomorrow and if you can't then collect your salary from the finance department and never show your face."

There was a horrified look on their faces but they didn't say anything else as it was sure to lead them to more trouble.

Rachel left the place and after telling her her mom that she was tired and needed a break, she went to her room. She lay in the bed and looked at Robert now showing her true emotions "Rob, I am tired and my legs are killing me."

Robert smiled and without saying anything he bent down to remove her heels he then frowned looking at her feet that had turned red "Why do you wear them when you know they will hurt you."

She smiled widely "I love the way you take care of me and I wear these because they look good plus I know you will be there by my side."

The smile on her face then dropped and she looked down at her feet, Robert looked at her and asked "What's wrong?"

She looked at him and smiled again "Nothing, come sit with me."

He sat next to her and held her hand "Tell me what's wrong, you can trust me I won't worry about anything."

Her eyes were filled with water "I am scared that I will loose you. I don't know why but there is an uneasy feeling in my chest that says that something is wrong and I will not be able to see you tomorrow."

She moved closer to him and held his hands into hers then looking intently into his eyes she said "Robert promise me, no matter what happens you will never let anything harm fall on yourself."

Robert let go of her hands and didn't answer her, he could not promise her such a thing because if a situation came he would surely die to protect her. He could never give her a false promise so he just smiled and said "How can I harm myself, I am an immortal."

She narrowed her eyes at him and before she could say anything else he said "Don't worry nothing will happen to me in fact I am worried about you that tonight has to peacefully but I know something bad is going to happen."

She smiled "Nothing will happen, now please hand me a glass of water, I am thirsty."

He nodded and went to the other side of the bed where the jug was placed, he was about to pour water but then he realized it was empty. He looked at her and then her surroundings finally thinking that it would be fine to leave her for a few minutes to get water, he then said "It's empty, I will go fill it up."

She smiled and nodded her head "Go, I will be fine for a while. He was scared that she would disappear when he went back so he did it very quickly and went back to the room. He finally relaxed when he saw Rachel still sitting there, he then handed her the water and she drank it looking outside the balcony and not at him.

He noticed he gaze and asked "What's wrong?"

She looked at him and began to breathe heavily as if she had been broken from a spell. He didn't waste time and quickly went out to look at what it was but he saw nothing, he then turned around to have a look at Rachel who looked at him scared "What was that?"

He hugged her and didn't say anything while his gaze still lingered on the balcony, she finally spoke in a little scared tone "I saw a horrific figure outside and before I could look away, it was as if that thing was sucking in my breath but I could not look away."

He massaged her back "Don't worry, I am here now."

She smiled and nodded her head while making him sit next to her, she talked to her for a while before going back to the party. One of the maids approached her and said "Ma'am, your mother is looking for you."

She smiled and said "Alright, thank you but where is she."

"In her room."

Rachel nodded and the maid went away, Robert looked at the maid doubtfully but still followed Rachel to Jamie's room. As soon as she went into the room Jamie made her sit on the bed and said "Good that you both are here, I had something to talk to you."

She then looked at Robert and said "Can you call Charles in too, I have something to tell everyone."

Robert nodded and went to call Charles from the party who had been attending the guests. Robert spotted Charles and went to talk to him but Jamie was by her side so he asked "How did you come here before me?"

She looked at him confused "What are you saying and when did I leave?"

Robert's eyes widened with horror and he went back to the room.
