Jessica went through the file slowly while making him nervous and as she did earlier, she closed the file and looked at him "Impressive, now tell me how should I reward you for your work."

The secretary looked at her with a proud smile and then he lowered his head "Ma'am that's not necessary, I just did my job."

Rachel smiled and leaned back on her chair "You have done a great job so how much profit did the company have in your presence?"

He had just made up something in his data that he had not done and now that he was being questioned he didn't even know how to respond. He had not even come to the company and only spent time enjoying himself so he didn't know anything that was going on.

He struggled with his words for a while then he said "I have not checked that but I will let you know in a while."

Rachel nodded her head and then looked at him with a serious face "Good check it now and let me know, you can use my laptop."

He began to sweat inside his clothes, he had never felt this way working for her father and this woman was just too difficult to deal with but he had no option but to go over and use Rachel's laptop so he went to her side and looked at it. The color in his face drained like it did on everybody's face earlier who were in her office. He froze on his place until Rachel said "Your data seems quite different than what I searched."

He went to his knees and faced Rachel "Ma'am I am really sorry I was wrong to do this but I am not very proud of it. Please let me have my job and I will prove to you that I am not worthless. I will make profits for this company I promise."

Rachel stood up from her chair "What kind of a fool will have a person around who had caused them a huge loss. What makes you think I am going to trust you?"

He bend down his head to touch her feet "I know I made a huge mess but I had already lost a lot of money and I need this job please give me a chance and I will prove my worth."

Rachel kicked him aside "You have lost your money because of your carelessness and the company has also lost a huge amount of money because of you. Now as you have been loyal to my father until he was here taking that into consideration I will give you 1 year to pay the money to the company you have lost. I will be sending the legal doc.u.ments to your house and you may leave now."

He didn't move from his place and began to cry "Ma'am please give me chance."

Before he could create a mess Rachel called the security and had him thrown out and then she fired a few other useless people which took all of her morning and then she got a call from Jessica to open up the room and so she did that and when Jessica came out she said "I feel so relaxed, this room is amazing."

Rachel smiled at her "I know it is amazing and now you have to start with the job as I have freed a position for you."

"Great so what do I do."

"Go and publish the information that we are hiring and you will be doing the first check and the candidates you select will be interviewed by me and also arrange a meeting with this client." She said handing her the file.

"Got it, I will get to work."

"Great I will get back to my work then."

Jessica nodded and stepped out of the room and as she did that looked around and half of the place was empty so she turned around and asked "What did you do?"

Rachel smiled "You have to check the positions that need hiring and select the candidates according."

Jessica shook her head "This is gonna be tiresome and went out of the room."

Rachel began with her work and as she started she realized that this man branch of the company had been facing huge losses and if it went out like that the company was most likely to shut down. She could not let that happen so she began with her work and started checking on everything and making arrangements with which the company could be back on track in the minimal time and before she knew it was evening but she had not figured out much.

As it was her first day Charles and Jamie thought of playing her a visit to surprise her but when they opened her office door they were shocked to see her still working and her lunch was still lying on the table untouched.

Charles went to her and asked angrily "What are you doing?"

She looked up and with a frown she said "I noticed that since your absence the company had been facing some huge loses and if this goes on the company will shut down so I am coming up with ways to compensate this and get the company running in the least amount of time but I am stuck here."

Charles went to her side and patted her head "You are a really intelligent person and you can figure this out very easily if you give it time but if you push it like this and skip your meals then I won't let you work."

She looked at the food and then at her father "But dad I am very close."

Jamie closed her laptop and made her stand from her chair "Come let's eat something first and then you can work with it."

"Mom"

"No more words the more you waste time arguing with me, the more you waste time not doing your work."

She looked at her mother "You always have the words to make me do the work the way you want."

Jamie smiled and then they went to a restaurant along with Jessica. They placed their orders and while they waited for the food to arrive Rachel asked Jessica "How is the selection part going?"

"Great, most of the departments are done, I have narrowed down to 3 candidates for each position and the rest of it will be done by tomorrow morning."

Before Rachel could respond Charles asked "What are you talking about?"

Rachel looked at her Dad "I have fired a lot of people who were responsible for the loses in the company so we are hiring new people."

Charles nodded "Good you did that."

Jessica looked at him and said "The amazing thing was the way she fired then. The look on their faces like they have lost everything."

Charles smiled "I know her she must have pretended that they were doing a nice job and then slowly revealed that they were fired."

Rachel smirked "You know me dad and while we are at it I need a lawyer if you know anyone."

Charles looked at her worried "What do you need a lawyer for?"

Jessica was so excited to answer this question that she pitched in "She was so cool, she made the people pay who have made the company loose money and she need legal doc.u.ments for that."

Charles had a look of admiration on his face as he said "I am proud of you, it is more than I expected of you my darling."

Rachel smiled at him "Thanks Dad"

Jamie then interrupted "Let's not talk about work anymore and talk about something else."

Rachel nodded and soon the food arrived, after that they went home and Rachel continued her work until midnight while Jessica rolled out the forms for college for both of them. Rachel finally found out a way for getting the company back on track and she was so excited that she started jumping up and down.

Her happiness was too infective that Jessica had a smile on her face too as she said "Let's go take a walk outside and get some fresh air."

"Sure, let's go."

Both of them went to the backyard and in the basketball court. Rachel picked up the basket ball and playing with it. She bounced it and in one shot she put the ball into the basket and this time again her head began to hurt with blurred images popping in her head and she shook her head to push them away. Her head began to hurt and she went to sit on the side. Jessica came to her and asked "Are you Okay?"

She looked up at Jessica's face and another blurry image popped up, she shook her head "I am fine, let's go out of the house for a while."

Jessica nodded her head and both of them headed out while they strolled on the road. A man came from the opposite side of the road and Rachel began to stare at him for a while as she asked Jessica "Why does this person look familiar and why can't I remember him?"
