Rachel went silent for a while then she smiled and before she could say anything Jessica went ahead and grabbed Oliver by his collar "How dare you force her to be with you."

Rachel's eyes widened at her reaction, she held her by her shoulders and said "Relax Jess, it's not like I have agreed."

Jessica looked at her angrily "Rach promise me you won't ever be the girlfriend of this jerk. Rachel smiled and said "Have some faith in my work ethics."

She then turned to Oliver and said with a plain face "If that is the case then Mr. Oliver I am afraid that you will have to leave and I refuse to have any work contracts with your company in future."

Oliver looked at her with a hurt expression and a hand on his chest "Ah! Do you have to be that brutal to refuse me. I was just messing with you and I really don't intend to force you into anything. I just want to be with you when you are ready to accept me. Now talking about business you make a very good point and we don't wish to face a huge loss in long run so the company will pay you more."

Rachel looked at him angrily "Oliver you dare to mess with me while we are dealing with something serious and here I thought that I could not even deal something so simple. If you agree then I have the new contract ready, you have to sign it."

She then looked at Jessica "Will you please bring the contract."

Jessica nodded and went out giving a glare to Oliver who looked at Rachel and said "Why is your friend so dangerous, I am scared of her."

Rachel laughed "Don't worry, it's just that she is a little protective of me."

Oliver rolled his eyes "A little, I feel like she is your girlfriend. Anyways are you free tonight, I have a friend who is a an artist and he is holding an exhibition do you want to come with me."

Rachel gave it a thought and then asked "What time is the exhibition."

"Around nine"

Rachel nodded her head "Alright I will be free by then and I can join you. Moreover I do require a place to relax because I have been stressed a lot lately."

Oliver grinned widely "Then be ready, I will pick you up tonight."

Rachel nodded her head and by then Jessica returned with the contract which both of them signed. Oliver then shook hands with her and said "See you tonight" before leaving.

Rachel nodded and after he left, she looked at Jessica "Are the candidates ready?"

Jessica nodded "Yeah, you can began with the interview and I will select the candidates for a few posts that are yet to be dealt with."

"Do that first because I need you there with me during the interview so I will began that when you are free."

Jessica nodded her head "By the way did you agree to go on a date with Oliver."

Rachel rolled her eyes "What gave you the idea that I would do this?"

Jessica was confused "But he said he will see you tonight."

Rachel kept walking forward and Jessica followed her "I am going to his friend's exhibition and you don't have to worry about me I will not make the same mistake as I made with Kevin again. Moreover I don't feel anything like that for him, I feel like my heart belongs to someone else."

Jessica was speechless and now she thought that it would have been better if she felt something for Oliver but now that was not the case so she had to bear with it. She didn't want to continue the conversation so she said "If that is the case then I have nothing to worry about so I will go and deal with these initial interviews."

Rachel nodded and then headed to her office, she was too tired of thinking everything so she looked her office after entering and opened the room behind it. She went into the room and lay on the bed thinking which part of her memory was bothering her but she was unable to get any answers from her memory. She eventually gave up and stopped thinking finally dozing off to sleep.

She had no idea for how long she slept but it was when the door of her office was knocked that she woke up. She looked into the mirror and made herself presentable before going out. Jessica was standing there and seeing her she said "Come I have selected the candidates."

Rachel nodded and said "We are not going anywhere, the interview will be in my office so bring them here."

Jessica paused for a while and said in a worried tone "They are new and if you want to reject them do it nicely. Please don't scare them away."

Rachel looked at her with her eyes wide "Am I that scary in your eyes."

Jessica rolled her eyes "Don't give me that expression and you are not scary in just my eyes, go and ask anyone and you will get the same response."

She laughed "Quickly bring them in."

Jessica smiled "So you are going to scare them, is this your source of entertainment."

Rachel smiled "You can say that but I have my reasons too. I want to make sure that nobody takes their job lightly and everyone takes me seriously."

Jessica nodded understanding and then went out to the waiting room where everyone was waiting. As she entered the room all the nervous candidates looked at her with an expectant look as to who was selected. Jessica smiled and said "Now you will be interviewed by Miss Cullen herself and I want to give you a warning before you go in that you have to think before you speak. You will be handed the numbers and you have to enter accordingly."

She then handed everyone the numbers and was about to leave when a frustrated voice came from the crowd "Who does she think she is to take the interview again, we have all been interviewed and it is obvious who should get which job then why does she need to do this."

Jessica looked at her with wide eyes "She is the boss."

The arrogant lady laughed "The boss! huh! She is just a kid of rich parents who inherited the business, does she even know what she is doing. I could do her job better than her and now she is acting all arrogant to have us go through another interview."

Everyone in the room looked at this lady shocked and then Jessica's voice came "If you don't want to go through this you can leave."

She replied angrily "Who are you to tell me what to do, a mere adopted daughter who is following the real one everywhere."

Jessica was not hurt by her words but she could not let her go on like that so she went to stand in front of her and slapped her face tightly and then said in a scary tone "Do you want to know who I am then let me tell you something I am the person who slapped you and no one will say anything to me. In fact you can not so anything about that either and if you dare to slap me back I can cause a huge trouble for you. One more thing I am the person who can reject you for this job and now you can go home."

She then held the edge of her dress from the neck and with a warning she said "Never ever dare talk about Rachel like that because she is at this position because she deserved it not because it was passed on and I won't say anything else her work will prove her worth to the people like you very soon."

She then called the guards and threw her out and then she turned to other people, her voice turning soft again "Now you may enter according to your numbers."

She took everyone to Rachel's office and had them wait outside and stepped inside herself. Rachel who had watched everything through the camera looked at her with a smile "That was great, I like it"

Jessica laughed "She thought she could turn me against you."

Rachel nodded "Investigate about her because I am sure she was not here just for the interview or she would not have caused this trouble."

Jessica nodded "I have already started with my work and now you handle these candidates. I am tired and I need some rest."

Rachel looked at her with a sad face "I wanted you to enjoy this with me but if you are tired, go and take some rest."

Jessica went to the room and Rachel closed it behind her before calling for the first candidate. She had her terrifying look on her face and the person in front of her was visibly scared but she said with a smile "Sit"
