《The destruction and creation system》Chapter 40 - Marry me!

As nick pressured the 4 women it was plain to see that they could only just keep themselves from kneeling much less anything else , this was surprisingly especially true of the girl who spoke previously.
The girl was obviously only still standing from sheer willpower. "Oh what's wrong you were saying what you were going to do to us , go on stand up straight and do it or get lost before I lose my reason!" Nick says before sending a chocolate of aura at the 4 knocking them backwards violently.
The 4 got up quietly and ran away from nick and Jakob with the one who spoke being even more frantic in her escape .
Right as nick was about to leave immediately after the women escaped the voice of the girl echo's back "you are going to marry me when I find you again mister!"
Nick was speechless at the girls forwardness.
"Is that normal?" Nick asked jakob obviously confused. Jakob chuckled "well judging from how she talked and how high her cultivation was she should be be from a large family so she probably thinks you can improve it if she married you based on your bloodline." He said while smirking at nick mockingly. "Which is to say yes it is very normal.'he finished.
Nick complained to jakob about it for the rest of the trip which irritated him to no end though they weren't stopped by any more bandits along the way which was quite nice for them. After about a day of travel they come across the city in the distance. The city lay upon the lake which was called mereth looking like an island that was square in shape that had a long bridge going all the way to the city from the shore.

"Finally made it huh?" Nick said to Jakob. Jakob nods thankful."well we should probably head to the transportation office to see about heading to the capital." He said while he steps onto the bridge.
They walked along the path to the city gate which was 2 massive door that were open revealing the city behind the checkpoint ahead. The city was a green color from the algae that slicked the wet walls and ground . nick walked to the checkpoint and paid the entrance rice of 12 silver for both him and jakob Before getting directions to the transportation office which was ironically a block away from the entrance. Nick marveled at the design of the city as they walked to the office. The building were made so that the entire building can be submerged underwater without the inside getting even slightly wet due to the fact that each house had a passive inscription that repels moisture from the door causing it to function much like a moonpool.
"Judging from the design of the buildings this city seems to be underwater occasionally." Nick said to Jakob with awe in his voice.Jakob nods "the city of mereth is made in order to be a pain for morals to attack because 1 of its defensive strategies is to lower itself to the bottom of the lake making fighting in or towards it nearly impossible for mortal weapons."he says patiently.
Nick is even more in awe after learning that the entire city was built to sink without harming itself. After they arrive at the transportation office they walk in to a room filled with cultivators talking to each other or a teller for their transportation . nick walks up to a perky blonde teller with a flat c.h.e.s.t and skinny face.

"Hi, my name is melissa how can I help you today?" The teller ask with a service smile. "Hello melissa , could you arrange to have me and my friend here to teleport to the capital." Jakob says with a smile. The teller nods before sorting through her desk before pulling out two slips of paper and says "2 tickets to modus city will cost 10 mid grade spirt stones each." Nick hands the teller his share and Jakob follows suit before the teller hands them the tickets. "Here you are , to use the tickets go over to the transportation room at the end of the hall behind me and place the tickets the the crystal or in the middle of the array it will do the rest, I hope you have a good day." The teller says before moving aside to let nick and Jakob passing into the corridor behind her.

Homecoming | A Chronicles of Ascension Story
When Jethen was captured by slavers, his childhood was torn from him and left shattered half a world away. When he finds himself back home decades later, by methods he does not fully understand, he finds that the life he has lived has changed him far more than he knew. In a home he no longer knows. Places and people at the same time familiar and foreign, he must decide - stay and help with his parent's business, or return to the land that remade him and the family he made there. --------- Homecoming started as just a short story to break an episode of writers block. It has since morphed well beyond that into a novel in it's own right, and may well end up with a sequel. The writing of Homecoming became a bit of a self induced challenge to improve my initial, first brush, writing quality. Each chapter was written raw, given a once over read and edit, and then posted. In this way I am forcing myself to write better from the start. I do hope you enjoy the story and will leave a comment or review, and if you see an issue, feel free to let me know as well. I know it is not nearly perfect, and it will get a full and proper edit once I am done. Never hurts to fix things along the way though. As an additional note. The story has undergone a structural rework and has been reposted in an updated structure and sequence of chapters. If you have read this story already, I invite you to do so again in this new structure.

Post War Rules
Life on Torus Terminal is usually fast paced, but simple. A frontier Terminal has little room for easy living, but the great, circular station does boast shopping and culinary experiences from many Imperial races and cultures. Any star is, by its nature, extremely far from its neighbors. But laser highways, and the great shimmering sails of the light-rider spaceships make the trip into only about ten years. Still, the denizens of Torus Terminal eagerly await the day when the Anti-Euclidean Engine their station is built around finally comes online. Once that is done, they will have unfettered access to the entire Empire. Instantaneous travel and trade across hundreds of stars. Torus Terminal does boast one other oddity: a creature which calls itself Human. As he says, the last of his kind for now. He has made quite the life for himself on Torus Terminal, especially in the darker corners of the station. The elites of Torus Terminal praise his name, for once he took up arms, crime began to fall. What they did not realize was that was because he had claimed the seedy underbelly of Torus Terminal for himself and his own goals. The elites praise him as a paragon of law. The criminals fear him as a ruthlessly clever crime boss. Those closest to him, know him as the General. This story was originally posted on the Humanity Fuck Yeah subreddit, where it evolved from a simple play on a historical figure in a science fiction setting into a full blown space opera. I kind of took it as an opportunity to explore a setting I've had rolling around in my head for years. I also decided that it would be nice to have it in a place where I could more easily come back and edit it later, so I'm reposting it here. Here's a link to the original posting if you're interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/e9cwpl/post_war_rules/ If my genre and tagging is subpar, let me know. I'm still new to Royal Road and I'm open to help. Feel free to comment and make suggestions, or discuss. I love comments, and so long as we keep things civil I also love criticism.

Instead, it created the Partition, a tapestry of worlds beyond the boundary of our own. There the magic roams, searching for a way to come back. I am a Knight of Avalon.
