lo mia spent the next few minutes apologizing to nick repeatedly while they waited for yin yun to wake up. after apologizing the two eventually ended up meditating in silence which was fairly normal for cultivators however this peace was quickly shattered when yin yun woke up with a hangover. "not much only that when a weapon reaches a certain point it has a chance of obtaining one." he said curious why she was asking. lo mia nods at his answer "while that is true that is not the whole of it, i guess ill start from the beginning then. the name weapon spirit is a bit misleading as any item can obtain a spirit whether it be a weapon or not, however as you said the item has to reach a minimum rank in order to gain a spirit that rank is rank six , however simply being rank six only allows for a one percent chance of a spirit forming. every rank increases that chance further but does not guarantee a weapon spirit making it possibly for a rank nine item to not have a spirit. next up is what makes an item with a spirit different than an item without, an item with a spirit gains a few abilities that are incredibly useful such as the ability to learn , the ability to see in all directions and in the higher ranks of spirits to grow stronger. moving on is the different ranks that the spirits have , basically when a spirit is born they like all creatures have different levels of lets say talent that decides whether they remain as they are till they die or whether they can grow either with the welder or beyond the wielder in strength the different ranks in order of lowest to highest are spark ,match , flame , pyre , inferno , volcano , and finally sun. only a flame rank spirit and higher can grow albeit a flame rank spirit grows very slowly. the higher a spirit can be born as is a pyre rank spirit which is the rank your spirit is at right now. only pyre rank spirits and higher however can manifest physically making them highly coveted as its like have an immortal servant or as you put it partner. the reason is because spirits can only be truly damaged by soul attacks however the only real way to kill a spirit is to destroy its vessel which is extremely difficult due to how high the rank is normally."
